Buy it ! The old MXR with red LED's sounds even better/more natural than the new silver/blue, imnho, which is also more than just ok, but my ears... Anyway, i have it in the FX-Loop of my ENGL THUNDER 50, which sounds now shortly before tube-melting at bedroom-level. This MXR RULES !🤟🖖✌️
i dont use those low watt amps anymore but im really looking into getting that MXR eq pedal
I usually use a different amp but wanted to try to see if the EQ pedal could help that old amp sound better.

I have a video up of me running it through an Ampeg micro stack both in the effects loop AND through the front of the amp.
Maybe rubber cement and gauze on the rim of cone. Otherwise the eq pedal work good? Was thinking about getting one?
Yeah I think the pedal works great! Check out my video where I use it with a different amp.
Plug in into an old Gorilla amp and see if it helps
