It's funny how when your a beginner at guitar that this information will just fly right over the head. Once you get it though many doors begin to open. I highly recommend theory. Thanks Andy!
Great stuff Andy. Changing Man is a great song but the riff is a direct Lift from 10538 Overture by ELO. How about a lesson on that? Ok I know the chord sequence is basically Dear Prudence but still.
Thanks for saying that. I thought it was just me…and I felt like just giving up the guitar! And, I’ve been playing for more years than I care to admit! 😂

Excellent lesson Andy. You packed a lot of theory and practical chords/songs into this lesson. Keep up the great work. Dave from Nova Scotia
Great description well done
Absolutely love your lessons!
Excellent lesson, Andy. In fact, one of your very best IMHO with truly great songs and well explained theory.

Great lesson man thanks for this! Imho, doing these for different keys would be awesome.

Brilliant mate, loved Piano Man, excellent
Great video.
Another example would be King of the Road by Roger Miller,
And also Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen.
There’s a line in Hallelujah that goes “it goes like this, the fourth the fifth, the minor fall, the major lift”
Thank you ❤
Great songs !! 🎵
Cheers Andy

Makes no sense to me, why is the sixth a minor?
Because the 6 is a minor 3rd from the root.
