Thanks for showing, the video is great 👍 Keep building and have a lot of plastic fun! I'm getting back in the zone of building again! I hope to finish more car kits this year!! Thanks again for the inspiration.
Awesome video Doug
I see a few sprue fanatics I know. Thanks for sharing 🙃
That was a really great take on all the "unseen" reasons to visit model car shows. Thanks for sharing.
Stunning! Thank you for sharing
Cool. Thanks for sharing 😊
Lotsa familiar faces!!! Neat video Doug!!! Just don’t eat the greenish hot dogs!!!! Miss going to the shows, maybe sometime soon!! 😝✌️😎🫡🇺🇸
A great video what it’s like to tag along with Doug Whyte at a show.
Great to see 👍
Fabulous. Engrossing as ever.
another entertaining video----Keep them coming---
Really good video! I used to attend the Classic Plastic show often when I lived in MA. I miss this show.
Great video. Lots of very useful information for anyone going to a model show. Thanks for sharing.
Great video Doug, saw Vince LoBosco in there, great modeler and friend! Shows are definitely my favorite part of this amazing pastime!!!
I really liked that video. Informative and entertaining. Great job!
Great job on the video. Love that you showed all the aspects of bringing a model to the show.😊
Not only me thst interest to small car that look cute.
Here there are lot of people interest it and they know more about the small car.
Wow the car going fly 😂
Hi Doug! Loaded with great advice here.
Best thing about shows is seeing friends and talking about models. Sharing ideas, techniques etc. Next best part is shopping.
Very nice video presentation. Looked like a lot of nice models and people. I have been to a few shows, it's incredible what people build. Thanks for sharing.
i have a model show coming up next month in Utah im excited for :)
A great video as always. A comment about what Dana Benoit said. The "Miscellaneous" (Science Fiction, Real Space, Gundam, Et all) category is NOT to attract the kids until they build "serious" models as he implied. For many of us it is a serious as any other topic in the hobby and deserves as much respect. If our youth are the future of the hobby we need to take their interests seriously too. 😊
I’m 14 and I just started this hobby and I love it!
Thank you very much for sharing.
Thank you Doug.
For putting out this content for us to see.
Especially for the builders that can not make the shows.
Thanks again
Jim
Enjoyed!!!! 👍👍
Great video thanks so much!
Great video Doug ❤
Always love going to that show! Thanks for sharing.
Great video, and it was awesome being able to visit with you folks as always!!!
Good video nice show thanks lee
Thank you Doug for a very enjoyable little look at the "Classic Plastic" show. I really wish we had a plethora of model shows here 'Down Under' like you guys in the States. I've been car modeling for years now & that would just be fantastic. Take care my friend. 👍 🦘
Great episode
Nice video, and looks like a great show. Funny, I got UV glue at my last show!
I can't wait to catch a show soon👍🏻
Great video, Doug. Very informative and I think it gives those who have never been to a show a really good look at how one goes. I love going to shows!!! Just catching up with modeling buddies, visiting vendors and seeing everyone's builds blows my hair back!! Be well, Doug.
Great video..
Great job done needed to be said
Yep ..that there..pride and joy. 1961 Ford Fairlane. If ALLLLL the cars you would spend time building... WTH?
Thank goodness for round2 doing re-releases. Though there are some way over due to be brought out again we can be sure some will cycle back around every so few years.
Thanks!!
Absolutely outstanding video Doug!! (as always!) You covered every aspect of every kind of show and what to expect! I love the fellowship and the shopping too! lol Thanks again for another great vid!!
I'm going to NNL West next year. It'll be my first big model car show. I was on the fence about bringing a couple of builds, but I've been told that it's great part of the experience of going.
Absolutely, it is. Have a great time!
Great breakdown Doug. I attended NNL West at the beginning of this year as a spectator and had a lot of fun. Hoping to be a participant in 2024. I'm sure it's a long journey for you out to California, but if you make it to NNL West next year I hope to meet you and say hello. Thanks for sharing your passion with us as always
I love seeing some of the decals I did artwork for being used on a built up!!!!
Good basic info Doug!!! Thx
It's cool when things come back around in orbit!
Doug- Check your airbag warning light!😂
This was amazing thanks for sharing this awesome adventure on how a model show/contest walks through
Great job as always Doug!
I live in Oregon were would I find out where model shows are and when they are happening...
To find upcoming shows check in hobby shops, scale model forums, club websites,
and social media, like Facebook groups. To start, I think there is the Pacific Northwest Model Car Fest in Milwaukie, and there is a Facebook group called Model Car Shows.
@8:34 Did he really call them "Jaw Hands"?
All older guys. The youth needed in the hobby isn't there. Is it gonna be gone in a few years? Especially at $30 a model which is ridiculously high priced.
Glad I bought my concept cars back at reasonable inflation prices. I've moved on to sci Fi stuff though. Not nearly as "fussy" on accuracy and more imagination.
Built when I was younger but lost interest when I finished high school but have been getting back into building recently after almost 20 years. Went to the one local hobby shop that's around but they had a handful of kits and I definitely had sticker shock. Hate to shop at the big chain hobby store but stocking up on some kits when they went on sale. I have 2 kids now that are at the age they are interested in building. My oldest wants to stick with sci fi and my youngest wants to stick with autos.
