Just a little correction, the g27 is the older (13 years) model of the g920/g29. The g29 is the playstation/pc version, and the g920 is the xbox/pc version. Caught Jesse in a race once when he was first starting out, hopefully will catch one of you guys!

In reality, the Iracing Setup... if researched correctly can be had between $600 to $1000. Those deals are getting fewer as people learn of the blitz for Iracing -- upping prices due to demand. I have a $600 Skytech Gaming PC. Logitech G920 with a deep dish custom wheel. Runmus Headset, Conquer Racing Seat. That's about it. Also I have a 32" Samsung TV. I'm also building a custom wheel stand. When's your league race? At some point could I join it? I got the Late Model and a few tracks.
I'm sold on doing this, I come from flat track motorcycles from the 70's and I have followed dirt models for years. We use to go to Eldora when you could camp outside of the entrance 500 ft from the main gate. It was run on Sunday afternoons. I am curious are the setups like real-world racing cars. Plus on the setups did you get help or use your racing experience for setups? The setups that come with the game can you be competitive or do you need a setup for the car? I know there will be a tall learning curve but after you get to be able not to bounce off walls will the stock setups work. By the way, I've been following your real racing careers for a while now. I wish I lived by you guys so I could help out some. lou
This is pretty much the best intro setup you can get. I sell simulation products (cockpits, wheels, etc) as part of my job and I recommend the Logitech wheels all the time. Great set up and I know people who run that wheel and have upgraded to Thrustmaster or Fanatec pedals. It can end up being cheaper to build your own PC and I build them myself for customers, but iBuyPower is probably one of the best companies that sells pre-built PCs. Or check out Ford Entertainment Group, the guy that runs it really active in the iRacing community and can help you build a great PC on a budget. I would also check out the iRacing Flea Market page on Facebook. You can find a lot of great stuff for a good price. Don't get caught in the trap of thinking you need a ton expensive gear to be fast on iRacing. The only thing I recommend to get better/faster at iRacing is better pedals and a wide screen monitor, or VR (but that's a lot more money for the headset and PC that can run VR). not counting the cost of my pc, but I spent $150 on a thrustmaster wheel and pedals very low end, but I have not found any flaws in it, im not a gamer I just use it to race online and it gets the job done, the pc I brought 3 years ago ran me $600, its the cyberpower gaming pc.

If you live close to a data center and don’t have a good enough pc to run iracing I highly recommend getting shadow PC. It’s a bit pricey but it’s a powerful fully customizable pc in the cloud

You say you like what you have, but a Fanatec Sevro setup for steering makes a WORLD of difference. Get your hands on one, I was blown out of my seat. They are big money though :(

Told you your learning curve was going to be short. You have skills, and race the big cars, which helps. You’re way faster than me. My setup is similar, but about to upgrade to a better PC, VR, and full driving rig. My brother told me the VR is a game changer for total awareness for what’s going on around you. Like sitting in the car, instead of a 60 fov.
@@dasnicenoob6140 VR is incredible. I was racing last night, and had a car to my right, but I lost where he was. A quick look to my right to see I was clear, to grab the high groove again.
@@dasnicenoob6140 it is, but I just do dirt. There are setups out there that cost 10 to 20 times more than mine. Then there’s the nascar guys. I’ve tried all kinds of PC games through the years. None could ever come close to the adrenaline rush doing 30 laps on a dirt half mile with 23 other cars.

Thats a solid solid pc setup. Nice prebuilt, my last tower was from iBuypower as well and has been running strong for 5+ years and counting, was my gaming pc and now the wife uses it (I built my current setup)
OK, OK... enough pretend cars (yes, I have iRacing too). Let's see where the 10 and Y2K20 cars are with their new skins and suspension mods. We need to see more REAL CARS!! (and dirtbikes) :D
Joshua's 27 late model looks pretty good on IRacing....bet the real thing would look even cleaner 😁. In all realness would he fun to see him hop in the trackstar or something and turn some laps.
If you guys are having trouble with the brake pedal being super stiff/tight you can take the bottom platform off and there is a spacer/stopper along with a spring, if you take that stopper out it'll loosen that pedal up it'll give it a more "realistic" feel.
If you guys had the sim racer built one of you could using it. Now that would awesome to irace in. Thanks for the tips and videos, keep them coming. Stay safe and enjoy the time with the family.

Late Models on iRacing are definitely not easy. Definitely got to put in the time to get good.

you all need to look into oculas rift and doing it VR in iracing. i think you would enjoy that. enjoy watching you all.
I raced for years on dirt and I can’t see how you race on iracing without being able to see out the right side of the car in the turns.
you can set up a dual or triple screen that allows you too "look" out your left and right

Adjust your ffb to about 8 keeps the wheel a lot looser to set the car into the corner and
Be easy on brake and throttle aswell

i spent about $1500 and i have a racing rig, running vr no prob. i got the wheel second hand but everything brand new ( You have to wait for sales).
