As a Filipino, Thank you America for fighting with us during Japanese invasion. Freedom for everyone. 🇺🇲🇵🇭
🇺🇸💖🇵🇭
As a Filipino. You need to smarten up the Philippines was a colony of America. They had a duty to fight the Japanese for you
@@DW-op7ly We were never been a colony. We were not controlled by America. We have a freedom to govern ourselves. We exercise freedom and democracy. We wont let a Chinese communist like you control our land.😊😊😊
@@DW-op7ly He already knows that. He's just being appreciative. Calm down. lol.
Nagpasalamat ka pa. Andaming minassacre ng mga kanong yan sa pinas. Dapat sa libingan na yan araruhin at taniman ng mais😂😂😂
USA and Philippines has long deep connections and friendship. No one can ever change that relationship. ❤
Every American that visits the Philippines should pay tribute to the Manila American soldier cemetery.
This is the true meaning of BALIKATAN, shoulder-to-shoulder fights to win a war, the history of brave Filipino and American soldiers during World War 2.......
I am a proud and grateful Filipino-American!🇺🇸❤️🇵🇭
As a retired Army NCO I am always at a loss for words when I see these places .
My...how can anyone watch this video and not be moved to tears? These sacred grounds show what the cost of freedom looks like! May these soldiers rest in peace for their ultimate, noble sacrifice! God Bless the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for this moving tribute! 🙏😔🇺🇸
I am a Filipino
And I am always thankful to those American war heroes who fought for us to achieve our present freedom.
God bless America always
Speechless here. What a beautiful and amazing journey for the World's best Choir and its Orchestra. Truly awesome. 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭❤️❤️❤️🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Our Mission President snd Sister Hyatt brought us in that sacred place in May of 1990 shortly before were sent to our respective areas of assignment for the next 18 and 24 months with the inspiring words ringing in my mind...."that others may live".
Thank you to all of the American heroes that sacrificed their own lives for our nation's freedom. Mabuhay and God bless America 🇺🇲
🇺🇸💖🇵🇭
“The Government, our People, for the people shall not Perish from the Earth”
-Abraham Lincoln
"Gone but not forgotten." Thank you for coming to see them. Without their ultimate sacrifice that city of Manila is not standing as it is now. We have more American cemetery in Clark and Iloilo city. I hope some if not all can visit them too. Without them we are all talking Japanese in the Philippines. God bless America, God bless the Philippines. My own kid is active duty in Europe serving both countries. The torch of light goes on for both our countries.
🇺🇸💖🇵🇭
Yes in Jaro, Iloilo City. I always pass that cemetery.
Sa tingin mo ba wawasakin ng mga hapon ang manila kung wala mga kano? Pagkatapos ng ww2 tinulungan pa nila mga hapon para makabangon. Mga kanong yan ninakaw lang resources ng pinas. Pwe😂😂😂😂
As a Filipino, I Salute to the Men and Women who give their life to fight for Freedom!
Pinatay na ninuno mo saludo ka pa? Bobo amp🤣
❤ United States of America 🇺🇸 PHILIPPINES 🇵🇭 ❤ thank you USA for always be with us . Salute ..
I like you have coverage about this. The Guy anchor is very friendly toward Filipino people. Love this❤
May God Bless All this Beautiful People
DO YOU KNOW THAT IN THIS SAME CEMETERY WAS THE PHILIPPINES DEDICATED FOR THE MISSIONARY WORK OF OUR CHURCH BY PRESIDENT (ELDER THEN) SPENCER W. KIMBAL WHEN HE WAS JUST A YOUNG MISSIONARY? ❤❤❤
It is the place where then Elder Gordon B. Hinckley dedicated the Philippines to commence the missionary work in the country. It was in May of 1961.
Thank you K S L for showing this event . Seeing it was a blessing. Good job . N.C.
Thanks for covering this.
My father deserves his service and was buried in America
We love American soldiers ..We appreciate your kindness❤ salute 🙏👏
It’s really heavy on the heart no matter how long it has been or how strangers we are with each other. May they all rest in peace and thank you for all their sacrifices for us🙏
As they always say we will never forget thru the man and woman of marine corps, military, of respected countries who vow till the end of their lives to serve and protect the world peace on this earth. Thank you very much as a new generations we enjoy the freedom to live. Even though life on this earth is very challenging . We feel the legacy you left to us. We hope that freedom and peace you give us we will continue to fight
“Rampage: MacArthur, Yamashita, and the Battle of Manila” by James Scott is a heartbreaking, but excellent account of the battle.
Big thanks to america for always with us... And to those fallen hero may your soul have a wonderful rest in heaven..
Thats why big respect to americans soldiers who sacrificed themselves just to protect our country.....dem i just can't imagine...

Welcome in Fort Mc. Kinley Taguig, Philippines
Yes it's former Fort William McKinley a melitary base by the USA.
Thank you for all the service... Rest in Peace fallen soldiers of America. This greatly show that Filipinos and Americans are brothers in arms for a long time now
It's not just vets from WWII. There are also some from other conflicts, including WWI. There is a list of groups buried there in the main monument.
USA is The Philippines' beloved great benevolent, brave, heroic, valiant defender and liberator. "God Bless America and Heaven Watch the Philippines, friendly with America, let her always be! " by Irving Berlin. Rest confidently assured by and under "her great mantle of protection and promise. " I shall return!" promised, made done and delivered by dearest US General Douglas MacArthur.

America Philippines ❤️ each other gdbless
So touching❤
My 3 first degree cousins are Filipino soldiers during WW2 are buried in the American Cemetery. Two of them are brothers and the 3rd. One is ou r first degree cousin. 🇵🇭🇺🇸
God bless America!!!
It’s so touching.
Looking out onto the vast field of crosses and Stars of David, it was as if the ghosts of the rows and rows of soldiers, sailors, and marines were standing at attention, ready to serve their country again. It is for us, the living, to remember Lincoln's words at another cemetery. "that the government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from this earth." This will only happen if righteousness prevails and despots and wannabes fail. My cousin lost at sea, is listed on the memorial wall.
Every single American as well as people from other countries should bend a knee in prayer and thanks, for these are only some of the many heros who died that u have the right to live free and do with ur life what u will. Japanese or German is the language u might be speaking right now if not for these souls. 😢❤
A big salute to those fallen soldiers.
I love the song Gloria Alleluia
Thank you God bless America with the 🇵🇭
spirit reconnected to him
Mabuhay!
🇺🇸💖🇵🇭
This Cemetery has also a Museum inside.
Wow . RIP
Thank you USA!❤
"a marine who went down in 1945 in the SOUTHEAST PACIFIC"
Im sure that is an error because that would be closer to South America than East Asia.
If your point of reference is in USA but if the one taking is in the Philippines, South East Pacific is somewhere in Polynesian Islands. In fact Philippines itself is in south east Asia which is in the Pacific. Obviously This guy is in the Philippines.
Southeast Asia is the right term today. South Pacific is the popular term 100 years ago if you want to use Pacific ocean as the base of reference. You are rigth about southeast pacific as closer to south america.
@@FoodieOmni They didn't say the air battle was in Southeast Asia, they said its in the "SOUTHEAST PACIFIC".
@898 The entire Pacific is the point of reference, what you're doing is looking for a reason to excuse an obvious error. Nobody who lives in California will ever say that Nevada is in the East Coast of the US just because its East of California. Please just stop with this stupidity.
@@stuka80 if you reread my post, I was agreeing with you. I was just pointing out where the video might have diverged.
The Philippines once become america, under Commonwealth.
😢
This painfull that china never had, thats why they act arrogant now and wanta to provoke war.
To all fallen soldier who died for our freedom today, thank you for your service.
A snappy salute to all of you.
Sana kinanta nila ung national anthem nila ❤❤❤
Ikaw na lang daw
❤❤❤❤
Good for the choir to visit this very special place. As an American living in the Philippines, it is my favorite place to visit. Incredibly beautiful, and kept in absolutely impeccable condition by the American Battle Monuments Commission and the respectful Philippine crew.

God bless the USA 🇺🇸

Didn't Poland also have an American cemetery?
Theres also in netherlands and france
Almost everywhere in western Europe I guess. Here in Italy aside from American cemeteries, there is one Brazilian cemetery where I live here in Pistoia, Tuscany. They (Brazilian forces) helped liberated the town from nazi/fascists forces.
How about the fallen Filipinos when Americans invaded the Philippines? I hope the US will remain true to its intent when they gave education to my people in 1900s.
World War 3? Noooooooo!!!!!!!! In Mars!😮😮😮😮
What about the non catholic soldiers?
I'm pretty sure any soldier who needed a proper burial was given a burial site regardless of faith.
Born Again Christian, Baptist,
When I visited this place I couldn't hold back my tears thinking of so many young lives wasted due to war.
❤❤❤
🇵🇭❤️🇺🇸
I can't wait to visit. Been planning for so long. My father fought with the philippine soldiers in 1945. 1st cavalry US army. Lost buddies. Effected him his whole life. Had nightmares. But loved the people there. Helped families. And our cousin Paul Henry Carr died in battle off Leyte on USS Samuel B. Roberts. I know his plaque is there. And I hope to find some of Dads buddies. I cry watching this. Its so beautiful. It will be my honor to visit soon.
I'm proud Filipino American with a teary eyes watching this video its very touching moment.I'd say thank you to all Filipino soldiers shoulder to shoulder with our fellow American soldiers who gave their ultimate sacrifice to our freedom..God bless America 🇺🇸 ❤and the former US colony the Philippines 🇵🇭 ❤

The Manila American Cemetery is a special place.
Joseph W Lipinsky KIA - Killed in Action = Plot A Row 3 Grave 139, Manila American Cemetery, Manila, Philippines. 43rd Infantry Division, 169th Infantry Regiment.
I think this is the most well maintained cemetery in the entire Philippines
It is one for sure

Can we stop destroying our young men? Every generation!
Amen. What a journey
WOW
🇵🇭🇺🇸🙏💪
Gives me goosebumps while the choir is singing the battle hymn.
Also parodic version in the Philippines called “GLORIA GLORIA LABANDERA” instead of “Glory Glory Hallelujah” used to be laundry woman and Anti- Gloria Macapagal Arroyo protest song about laundering money.
❤

Why would anyone want to listen to dreary slow organs and old mormons singing?
And yet they do listen, and from allover the world. Take a listen sometime, it will bring peace to your soul.
🤣😁
@@KevinReeve it makes you fall asleep , but sleep is peaceful, so I'll agree.
