first and foremost awesome job with the ramp, I would suggest that you have concrete barriers around your buildings for those moments of cars losing control. and for moving the ramp around the compound you could put in heavy duty castors that could be raised or lowered, or if i was doing it, i would put poly skid pads underneath the ramp and just have a system to drag it to where you need it, make like a poly skid sled that fits underneath and then can be removed so that the ramp doesn't move around when you are jumping it.
I was really astonished at the amount of engineering and effort that went into building what is seemingly a super simple ramp. Turned out awesome though! Can't wait to see more it in the future!
You should make the ramp a new twist with the semifinals......or in the finals, to "shake things up". You could put it in one spot for the semi's and move it to a different spot in the finals, so it's fresh for everyone.
Ok Adam there are a few ways to move the ramps. You already have a fork lift, you need to get a boom attachment that the forks slide into, this will allow you to use a hanging suction cup/magnetic manipulator to pick up at the center of each ramp. You will only need two or three people to move each ramp. One driver and the others to stabilize. Cost is relatively low as you can have a shop fab it or do it in house. The manipulators can be found at a local rigging supply store, or they will point u in the right way.
Nice, love the song you picked for the ramp build. I like how you guys don’t mind bumping into each other while sideways and at high speeds but didn’t want to go off that. Should be great to watch during a competition.
One of the first videos on the compound: this compound won't be a track, we've got neighbors and we really want to use this professionally. Now: our drifttrack with garages built on it now has a jump!
Put it on casters like a drift kart, pull lever and the casters go down and lift the thing up. Then its on wheels and off the ground. Split into 2-3-4 sections, can easily enough clamp the end of the ramp (the higher end) together. For the lower sections, maybe a beam/rod that runs from one side to the other, that screws together (think tie rod end? idk) that squeezes it / pulls it together.
Lower the P.S.I. in the tires to help absorb impact and add grip in the landing 👍 ADD rollers that bolt on to the high end of the Base of the ramp for moving 👍 Merry Christmas 🎄 Love the content 🙌

My idea for transporting those would be to keep them in sections (how ever you want the sections and many) and then make something like woodworking bow ties. Make the bow ties solid not the ones that are hollow in the middle and then make countersunk holes into them so they can be flush fit screwed in and secured. Obviously you’re going to need to fabricate something for the bow ties to bolt to and the correct depth so they’re nice and flush and strong to keep everything together. Also I’d make the bow tie so you can screw in a small lifting eye or bolt somewhere to get a grip to remove, Incase the bow tie get jammed or wedged in there and you can’t get them out by hand or a strong magnet. Kinda seems like a lot of work but in the long run it’ll not only make things easier but look cool and y’all can learn something new and possibly use the idea down the road on something! Hope this helps and I hope y’all use it cuz I’d love to see it! Have fun and be safe boys!
