I bought the Hawk X 250 recently. Carburated. I'm glad I didn't get the fuel injection. Mine is counterbalanced. Runs smooth with stock carb. Very low vibration. No problems. Make sure all of your electrical connectors are tight especially for the ECM. That can cause issues.
I wish I could afford the dlx at the moment...I'm brand new to motor cycles wish I could see this in person
Wow! I'm surprised it had those issues.
The New Exhaust leaves a bit too much of a gap where the muffler attaches to the pipe. I am going to try to fix that this week.
i like what you did to the hawk and that seat rocks, cool video brother, i put the same exhaust on my hawk X 250 carberated version, with the nibbi carb and zero issues it RIPS i cant believe the power, i didnt think these 229 CC motors can actually get much power what a difference though, did some other mods too, im surprised that the E.F.I DLX hawk is functioning that way, keep us posted when you get your bike tuned and fixed, id like to see a part 2 video. check out moto cheez he has the same bike and has access too a tuner for the DLX computer it gives it a shit ton more horsepower. i think delphi makes a tuner for the computer.........

Sounds good in the concert hall! Bummer about the electrical gremlins - those are the WORST!
I may just have to pull the tank off and open the looms up underneath if changing the switch doesn't work
Good comparison between the stock and your new exhaust. I'm sure having fixed that cracked header pipe helped out some too.

these bikes need to be dynoed to get a map then tuned acordingly
Like you said maybe the kill switch is bad. And I would guess maybe the o2 sensor is bad. That would keep it from running well. I had a kill switch go bad on a ride I just bypassed it. Good luck with it. 👍
I have replaced the 02, but who knows. Having no code in memory doesn't help the search.

well.. it sounds better. I guess start at the kill switch and go from there.
I have a new headlight and front brake hose. Pretty much taking the whole front apart at this rate
