Thank goodness I found this video! I’m a 50 yr old woman with zero experience with this stuff. I’m single and tired of paying or asking for help so I’m learning to do this stuff for myself so I can teach my daughter and grand daughter to be self sufficient. You tube has helped me do things I never thought possible! Thank u so much for making this video slow and perfectly explained. 😁

This video was exactly what I have been searching for!! The clear way you describe every detail as you go through the steps eased all the anxiety, fear, and frustration built up over the years regarding testing testing anything with my volt meter other than batteries! I now have the confidence to go test my outlets!
Other videos explain how to do things but usually leave out many small details and I think that is because it is assumed that the viewer already has knowledge of electricity beyond flipping light switches and plugging things in … which I do not.
I read a comment from a woman who said she had always thought the larger slot of the plug-in was the positive side and I laughed! But I laughed because I have always believed the same thing!!
You are now my hero because you obviously know your audience and I am very grateful and thankful to you for taking your time and making the effort to share your knowledge in the way you do.
I will click the ‘follow’ and return many times in the days and months to come now that I found you!
    God Bless you!
From a new fan on San Juan Island, Washington state.

Great Electrical Video! Will save me several trips to my Apartment Breaker Box! Heck, I thought the big slot on an outlet was the positive hot one because it was definetly the biggest! You finally gave me the balls to finally stick my voltometer, which I've had in my toolbox for over 15 years, into a wall outlet receptacle. Prior to your cool ecture, I was only using my voltometer to check the remaining power of my aaa and aa 1.5 batteries!

Absolutely the best explanation I have ever seen someone do to make it easy for a 2 year old to understand what they are talking about. Not really I was just being sarcastic on the 2 year old part lol. I have been trying to find a video just like this one for hours tonight and when I said lord help me understand what I’m doing here because I’m going to try to figure it out one probe at a time and pray that I don’t end up like the KFC extra crispy tonight 😂. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us and making it so much easier to learn and understand your explanations. Absolutely amazing work 👏👏🙏🙏❤️❤️

I appreciate your video so much! Respectfully, and with appreciation, that symbol between the V and the ma is the capital form of the greek letter Omega and represents Ohms. The lower case represents angular resistance. I had to look that up. I knew the name of the letter but not what it meant. You are a really great teacher and just saved me money I don’t have and now I can fix my outlet. May the blessings return to you in whatever way you may need.

Love this video. You repeated all the safety stuff enough times I got it. Which takes longer with me. A guy who's been hand digging 20 years. I don't ever think anymore. So repetition is so important to a master and using a shovel. Lol. The guy who needs it but won't hear it till it's said 3, 4, 5 times.
First I heard the long line on the wall socket is the ground. Then I heard you say again it's not. Went back and checked. Lol. I caught it because you repeated it two more times before I realized I was switching the two.
All in one video. Very nice.
The stuff written on the toolsweek website left questions. The video answer them all.
When I first looked up, "how to test ground with multimeter," tools week came up first. I could tell immediately you knew what you were talking about.
But the writing was so short and sweet I left it confused.
Specifically the voltage test. Starts saying, "Take out the connections," which left me thinking, "which connections? And does he mean disconnect them?
Till I watched the video I was about to connect my multimeter to both sides of the battery.
I gotta thank you for being very repetitive about the safety stuff. In writing and in the video.
Electricity frightens me much. I been digging 20 years with a shovel. Almost hit big volt lines more than once. I'm talking solid hits. With digging bars. That break conduit. Digging pet graves unmarked in places where the a boulder or something put lines where they'd have never been start to finish.
Lucky I ain't dead 3 times over before I learned that you gotta get marks going 4ft deep. 2ft? I'm betting I'll survive anything I hit. And lines follow the part of the the bird 999 times out of a 1000 I'd say.
I do sprinkler system service. Just got electrocuted by a low voltage line. Which I thought wasn't possible.
It was not a pleasant experience. Lol. Shit
