It really shows how intelligent Lucifer really is. I feel like in the future, Charlie is gonna find out that Heaven is not the place she was hopeing for, and that her and her dad are gonna try making Hell as powerful as possible to take the war from Hell, into Heaven, and then that's when everything in that universe begins to shift.
Because in the Bible, it says how Lucifer tried to overthrow God, and was sent to his world of Hell for eternity. So maybe, in Hazbin Hotel, Lucifer will try to gain control of Heaven, and finally witness the true beauty of imagination and creativity, possibly even travel to Earth to see how far humanity has gotten.
We still don't know who the true leader of Heaven for the Hazbin Hotel universe is, it could be Adam, or maybe Adam is one of the very low of the low of Heaven, like how the Imps are of Hell. But I don't think the show is going to go that far, last thing we need is Jesus Christ himself getting involved in the show. Not like he already is, with Heaven and Hell, and demons and angels.

This is just my thought but even in Helluva Boss, most "nice" demons are hellborn demons while all sinners we have seen are cartoonishly evil, since they were sent there because they're bad(Vaggie is right in the song). So Charlie really has her work cut out for her(because she want to redeem sinners specifically)

The pilots events was confirmed to be still canon by Viv although the character designs and voices have changed. and the first episode follows right after the pilots events in the shows canon.

Wonder If that may be part of the reason why he seems so salty about all this. I know he's just naturally an a-hole. But It's possible that he's particularly cruel to Charlie because she reminds him of his ex, who ditched him when he was literally the only man avaliable in Eden. And who can blame her.

Which makes it an even bigger shame that it wasn't remastered for Amazon. Episode 1 is, as a first episode, pretty bad because it heavily relies on the viewers having seen the pilot before in terms of grasping the status quo that the show starts off on. It's not only problematic having it on two different platforms, but the pilot is also the only episode that wasn't dubbed into the other languages that Amazon offers, which leaves people who don't speak English out of the loop.

4:59 to answer your question of why the exterminators look like imps, it has been said in the hazbin live streams that when angels travel to hell, they take on a demonic form, and that the opposite is true for sinners and other inhabitants of hell if they were to travel to heaven.
I have a theory that the longer the angles are exposed to hell, the more corrupt they become, hence why Adam is SUCH an annoying shit in this. Like, he used to be good but the more he's in hell, the more he enjoys the killing. Take the Cherubs in Helluva boss for example. The more time they spent around demons, the worse they became until they "fell" and got cast from Heaven. The only reason Adam hasn't been cast out long ago is because he's a powerful angel at this point and has actual power that the Cherubs don't. I think that would make a VERY interesting twist later on
Or another option is that since Adam said Hell is forever that insinuates that Heaven is forever too so once a person's soul goes to Heaven they can't go to Hell for becoming a bad person as long as they don't break any of Heaven's rules. With Adam being one of if not the first person to go to Heaven, he would be the most corrupt because he's just been doing whatever he wants with no punishment as long as he doesn't break any of Heaven's major rules.

Yes Katie Killjoy's voice in the pilot was better. But IT'S BRANDON ROGERS DOING HER VOICE SO ALL IS GOOD.
Also this episode raises MANY plot points. Lilith's "disappearance", the Hotel (obviously), Heaven's interference and revenge... It's so much deeper and more plot-heavy than the pilot lead to believe and it's gonna be great
Alastor has antlers all the time, they just grew bigger in that scene. He's a deer demon, like Angel is a spider demon. I'm not sure they kept it as part of his design but in the pilot the bottom of Alastor's shoe has a deer hoof print.

Keith David has had one of the most diverse and amazing careers I can think of, and it is his voice that has always shined through.
I'm dating myself here, but for me, he will always be the voice of Goliath from Disney's Gargoyles...and not just because it's an awesome show. I ended up being an impromptu stand in for director David Twohy when he went on a SFW tirade about working with him on the set of Pitch Black when he was a guest at the 2004 Gathering in Montreal (Fan Convention).
That voice will be with me until the end of my days, and he works amazingly well as Husk...particularly in Ep 4.
Also, in terms of dads in this setting...the bad far outnumber the good...and holy F! do they set the bar low...Crimson, I'm looking at you.
As for Helluva Boss characters, we can't forget that there is a big difference between the hellborn and sinners...to say nothing of possible angels cast into hell alongside Lucifer during the Fall.
Sinner's by definition are those who had a mortal life, and were condemned to Hell by their own actions. This creates a collection of characters who HAVE to be flawed, and who will have a far greater proportion of them who may revel in sin.
For Charlie, and other Hellborn...the literal ones at least (AKA fallen angels need not apply), they have done nothing to warrant being in Hell. In their case, and literally in the case of Charlie, they are there because of the sins of the father. They have no predisposition towards evil outside of that Hell imposes on its residents.
It's a key difference IMO.

Angels like Adam look like Imps because they kina are the imps from Heaven. Viv said that Imps going to heaven would be like angels, and angels cast down to Hell would be Imps.
Alastor's vocal static fades in and out _based on how sincere he's being._ The more what he is saying is 'in tune' with what he's really thinking, the more the static disappears from his voice.
Pay attention to it, it is VERY important!

Vivzie addressed why the angles resemble imps. When an angel goes to hell they take on a demonic appearance. And the reverse also occurs. A demon would take on an angelic appearan if they went to heaven.

About Alastor's voice effect, if I'm not wrong, there's some lore stuff vivzie said way back that, when alastor is fully sincere, he doesn't have the radio effect. So you can tell when he's lying, being sarcastic, etc, and when he's dead serious and sincere
To what you said around 25:05 yes those people are pretty chill but remember that all of those examples are people BORN in hell, the sinners are people who died on earth and are now in hell because of it, they were not born there
So one of Alistor's abilities is that he doesn't show up on camera very well and will glitch out displays if attempted. Unconfirmed if it's intentional or just him existing though.

Btw the new voice actor of Kattie Killjoy is non other than Brandon Rogger who voices Blitzø from Helluva Boss as you already may know... The reason why Vivian decided that is because Brandon made a series on his chanel called ,,Bryce Thanktrust" and he actually does all his characters there so he did Bryce ofc as well... So to get to the point Bryce's charecter is extremely similar to Katties and so Brandon voices her from now on... Anyway, i love your reaction, you always look at the details and it's great! The Cat-like creature that transforms into the Key of the Hotel wasn't in the pilot at all, it's an entirely new concept made for the official show.
the Exterminators look like Imps because they're actually using uniforms and LED Masks to appear more intimidating, they don't look like that naturally. Or at least that's what i remember from the Lore.
Yes, the Pilot it's still considered Canon despite the differences in designs, and based on the dialogues we can confirm that this takes place one week after the most recent extermination while the Pilot was like... one day after it.

Also I find it funny how keith's new character basically got enslaved by the character who is literally based on Dr facilier (Al, is a voodoo man, who probably came from New Orleans, he makes a lot of deals has mysterious powers and a mysterious grand plan and a living shadow... Dr Facilier is a voodoo witch doctor who makes a lot of deals, has mysterious powers and items, a living Shadow and a mysterious grand plan... So it must be frustrating for keith to basically be dealing with his own character has the antagonist of his new character.)

For the less fucked up people in hell... Well, in Helluva Boss we are shown very little of the people who went to hell, mainly just the clients of IMP, but we mostly see those who were born in hell. It seems to be implied the actual sinners are mostly in Pride were Hazbin Hotel is located, and that is were you get the really shitty people who went to hell because they deserved to go to hell.
Sinners can only be in Pride because Lucifer banned them from going to any other layer unless that was changed after being picked up by Prime

38:36 no, it was less. Some fans have noticed that the level of static in his voice is inversely proportionate to his sincerity. The more sincere he is, the less static and clearer his voice becomes. In this case, he felt Vaggie had a great point of his entertainment hinging on them actually getting past step 1, so he would need to make an effort to keep them from failing out of the gate

From what Charlie said in the beginning it sounds as if God is not in this show. She said that it was the angels who created earth/Adam etc.
It is noticable that the most we hear about the hierarchy of Heaven is 'the Elders', not a singular creator entity who is in charge.

Yeah I had the same reaction when I heard Angel's now voice for the first time. It's actually really good but we're used to that character talking with the great voice of Michael Kovach. I guess in a few episodes we'll be used to the new voices. On the ohter hand, i was NOT READY to hear Husk suddenly start speaking with the voice of the president from "Rick and Morty". Like, I forgot who Keith Davies was and that he voiced Husk and then when husk started talking i had my eyes close and I was like "president curtis? wtf are you doing in hazbin hotel?!"
Also yes in his "true" demon form Alastor has antlers because he's linked to deers, he has deer ear shapes on his hair, small antlers that grow very big when he's using his powers/being menacing and it's confirmed he has hooves instead of feet. I think he had a link to deers when he was human, like eating deers or something, but I forgot his backstory so maybe not.
Also at 23:53 the guy apparently too bored to care about the knife in his eye that just walks into frame to say "I'm not doing well * collapses *" Is way too relatable for me lol
Fianl note : I know it probably isn't the case and that even if Helluva Boss canonically exists in the same universe the best we may get is some cameos, but I really hope that it turns out the I.M.P. killed that angel. Or maybe Striker? But that'd be weird because the imps are hell-born demon and Adam himself said they're not killing hellborn demons (only killing sinners) so why would Striker or the imps kill an angel? Yeah that theory is probably false. I'm really hyped to see who killed that angel then.

Apparently the story of how Alastor died was due to a hunting accident, being confused for a deer. Plus it does give him more wendigo style traits with his cannibalism.

the past tense likely doesn't mean lilith's dead (as charlie's words suggest later, she hasn't seen her in seven years with charlie assuming she's just busy, not something you'dthink if someone is dead) and more that Lilith has given up on humanity and, like msot of hell, shares the opinion they cannot be saved or redeemed.
Someone made an interesting remark on an episode 2 reaction I watched: It's stated that Alastor was away for the same amount of time Lilith was, that being 7 years. People are theorizing that either Alastor IS Lilith in disguise or he has something to do with her being missing.
The thing with all the nice people in hell is outside of the pride ring, everyone is hell born. All the sinners, the people who earned their way into hell, are in the pride ring. Hell born people aren’t necessarily bad, it’s just where they live.

Well lilith has music that can boost demons. He is a radio demon. They could have chosen to work on something to boost them to be able to match the angels. We just have to wait and see. Because with the power stolas has to give access to the earth they could have done something there or to expand a plan. Idk the details but there is something going on and I do think al is actually there with charlie for a reason.
This show is absolutely amazing so far. Great characters, banger songs, an intriguing story with massive stakes, I can't wait to see where it all goes. Also, I like how the angels are portrayed as more evil than the demons. And that they say these demons "earned their damnation" when Adam, the one who committed the original sin. If anyone deserves to be stuck in Hell forever, it's him.
Well yes however Lucifer is the one who got Eve and Adam to sin. So the ones getting the worst punishment will be the Big L and his squad. And rightfully so, take a look at our world + humanity's flaws. If the Big L hadn't done what he did, we'd been living on a paradise of a planet, and our species would be worth a damn. Let's be honest.

As an asexual, aroace does not necessarily mean that he is sex repulsed and/or uninterested in romance. It could be just less or differentely expressed. Or it's totally not there, who knows, it's a spectrum.

Yes they can have someone to be emotionally attached to but I was referring to "hooking up" in this instance. This seemed like more of a "hooking up" just because instance and from experience I know how uncomfortable that can be.

The reason Alastor has antlers is because the way he died is he was mistaken for a dear by a hunter, Well, trying to dispose of a body, so he got shot in the head and died you see every Demon looks the way they do because of the way they died and lived

Adam is too egotistical too admit he has fucked up. Also gotta love alastor being the proper overlord while Charlie is too much of a sweetheart too use her true power.
One thing to remember is Adam is most likely an archangel which would be probably about the same level in Heaven as the sins in Hell. Also I believe since Adam says Hell is forever that insinuates that Heaven is forever so more likely than not overtime humans that became angels would slowly become more and more twisted over time because since they are in Heaven everything they do must be good and right with them not going to Hell for anything they do in Heaven even if what they are doing is actually wrong, and I think in this episode Adam proves this right because he's seemingly almost as bad as Mammon if he was that bad from the start he probably wouldn't be in Heaven but because he's already in Heaven and isn't rebelling like Lucifer did they won't send him to Hell as punishment for his misdeeds with Heaven keeping him because he's useful even though at this point he has become a horrible person.
fun fact, when Adam says "ugly people" when listing problems (35:55), he looks at the viewer (us) and breaks the 4th wall, calling you ugly

Viv said the pilot is considered 'soft canon' It happened, but if you skipped it it wouldn't really matter basically. And some elements might not hold water anymore. Also Angels voice will grow on you, all the voices that were off feel better by episode 4 to be.
Also i think its just that Pride is mostly sinners - ppl who are there because of what they did. Demons are just.. well people. They're all their regardless of being good or bad.

39:09 I have the theory that Alastor have total control of the distortion of his voice, so, in this scene he is trying to convence Vaggie to make the deal, that's why the distortion of his voice changes, to be more... “Friendly” between ENORMOUS Quotation marks. Some people said that the distortion changes when he is honest, but i don't think so. Alastor always have a plan.

Regarding the antlers on Alastor's head, as far as we are aware his "true" form is going to be more akin to a wendigo
based on a scene cut from the pilot, I actually think exorcists (the angels lead by adam to slaughter the denizens of hell) wear cubernetic masks over their heads, explaining the horns and why their faces look...a bit off.
the scene i'm referring to is a shot from the trailer for the original pilot that shows some angels standing around menacingly and for a brief coupl secones their faces GLITCH like a computer monitor.
I've only seen the first episode so far, so that's all I'm basing my thoughts on, but it feels like we're going for the "an angel killed another and is letting Hell take the blame for it" kinda route, maybe even a "The kill was done specifically to have an excuse for war"

From what I remember from the pilot, the radio filter on his voice varies sometimes, usually when he's being more serious iirc
38:42, It did, Actually! An interesting thing about Al's character is that whenever he's actually being truthful/serious/genuine about a topic, the static in his voice clears up quite a bit. Hence why, most of the time, as a dealmaker/overlord, The radio affect on his voice is so heavy.
Which if you think about it makes a nice contrast with Vox who only has static in his voice when he gets angry
Also Lucifer likes Circus stuff, look at LuLu land after Via runs away in episode 2, or at the doors of the Hotel
I have seen the other episodes and I have a theory.
I think when Charlie's singing is part of her power and it affects people and reality around her without them realizing it.
I also think them same is true about Lilith but on a much greater level to the point it just affects all of hell all the time.

I want to point something out. Helluva Boss has shown us the other rings of Hell where imps, hellhounds and demons roam around freely and live like regular people for the most part. However Hazbin Hotel exclusively takes place on the Pride ring and involves mostly fallen human souls known as Sinners. So Vaggy only really knows that side of Hell.
