Hey Nathan, I myself along with many others really do appreciate you taking the time to make all these video's and give us updates on the transitional restoration that is taking place. I don't know if your video camera has the capability, but i think you should also be taking some digital still pictures and in the future you can do a "Before & After" Series showing the dramatic changes over time that will happen. Who knows, maybe in another 5-years the Mt. Union yard will be cleared out of trees if the new Foundation can make a deal with Mr. Salone. We all know the main focus will be at Orbisonia and the Steam Locomotives, but eventually some clearing operations will have to take place either north or south or both in order to have a decent excursion route and i think the 2 biggest or expensive projects would be making the bridges at Augwick & Pogue safe for a train crossing. Speaking of crossings, I don't know FRA rules & regulations, but if the EBT tracks cross a State Highway, will they have to install modern crossing arm gates and signals? Stay safe.

Great idea, and I probably will. And yes if it does come to the railroad crossing a main road they most likely will put in signals.

That dump car would be very handy at the main yard

Side dump cars are standard gauge unfortunately

@@MarkRBlackwell the ebt did swap trucks on standard guage hoppers commonly so its actually quite possible to do a truck swap as there's probably a few hundred trucks and wheelsets to do the needed conversion

@@southern207hobbies Waste of time and money. Plenty of hoppers on site to use as ballast cars.

@@MarkRBlackwell I ment to haul fill material in as there's bound to be washout sections plus it would be handy for track and right of way maintenance

Mt Union Connecting RR failed because the one primary customer they had backed out before track could be laid. There was interest, it just was withdrawn. Also their loco was a Plymouth CR-4, probably more similar to M-6 than M-7. It all folded up with Mr Levin’s passing.

Is mt. Union going to be back in operation some day?

All I can say is hopefully. The foundation is trying there best with what they've got.

The only way Mt. Union Yard will be back in operation with hopefully the original Mt. Union Wye installed, is if the EBTF buys or leases the yard. Hopefully they will do that at some point. I have every intention of asking them whenever I'm back up there.

That sounds like a good idea, but right now the foundation won't be able to restore the line up to mt Union for quite a few years so leasing it now wouldn't do anything for the foundation.

Nice video series. Be careful going back in there. EBTF doesn't own the yard and current owner not friendly.

Yeah. I wish he would would sell it to the E.B.T but he won’t. They’ve offered vast amount of money but he still won’t let them.
