I’m going there in July, can’t wait! Don’t hesitate just do it if you feel like you want to. What’s the worst thing that could happen? That you want to go home maybe then that’s ok, it’s better to go and then go home earlier if it’s like that than never going at all. That’s what I think anyway :)

Well I'm going like in a month and can say there really are a lot of BTS-Fangirls ^^
As an army myself I can say that I got interested in Korea first because of kdrama and started to like kpop. But since I was watching the dramas and listening to the music I really discovered how beautiful the language is itself. I personally would not go to Korea because of kpop because I'm way much more interested in the culture and language and I want to meet lots of people that I can share these interests with.

You should definitely go! Get out of your comfort zone. A lot of people are travelling alone so you’ll meet people right away :)

You can go without knowing any Korean beforehand. There are special classes/groups for beginners. You will learn quicker than you imagine. But you have to go on special dates when other beginners also start their course. To find out these "beginner start dates", please call your nearest EF office. Good luck! Matt @EF TH-cam Team

Is it possible to stay at a host family even if you don’t know any korean? Since it would be very difficult to communicate with the family?
@@Sara-kj5rv Yes it's possible. Korean host families are often really great. You will find a way to communicate, by gestures, maybe a few words in English, and little by little you can use more and more Korean words. It's called "immersion" - you dive into the language, live the language. It actually works! Matt

I want to go there maybe in 2020 but I'm worried because I don't drink alcohol and I can't eat meat if it's not halal. I don't know if it will be easy for me to integrate.
Hello kookie. I asked my colleagues iat EF Seoul about your question. They say that it's a bit hard to find Halal restaurants, but there are some Halal restaurants and grocery stores in a place called Itaewon district, about 30 minutes from the school. Our Muslim students so far haven’t had strict diet restrictions, so they would find Korean food without pork. However, if you want to make sure to only eat Halal food, we would recommend you to shop food from grocery stores in Itaewon and cook.

Hello there! Sorry we can't answer this question here in teh TH-cam team. May I ask where you live (what country)? If there's an EF office in your country, I recommend you to call them, they can give you the intake dates and let you know if there is still places left. You find the number at www.ef.com - In general you can start about every second week at most schools, and sometimes every week. Good luck with your plans! Matt @EF TH-cam Team

There is courses were you can go as 13+, at least in my country :) I’m going to take this course called “ youth program 13-17”, and it’s in Seoul too! You should do some research and look up which organizations you can go with. I’m sure you will find something for you :) and about the cost, that course I’m taking is for about 3216 euro but that is without plane tickets so it’s pretty expensive
Ah I forgot to add, often, the price also depends on how long you’re going like me I’m going for 4 weeks and that’s why it’s more expensive :)

Correct, you need to be 16 or above to study on the "EF Languages Abroad" program in Seoul. But in some countries, EF also offers programs for younger students, so I recommend you to call your nearest EF office to ask. Good luck! Matt @EF TH-cam Team
