The thing about the Pro, is that it doesn’t matter if Sony did some kind of showcase for it. Only way people would be able to tell a difference is if they just allowed people to see it on a premium TV. It’s no different than the issue they ran into with the PS4 Pro. Same thing Microsoft had with the One X. For those in tune with Playstation, of course they’d notice the difference, even on a compressed TH-cam video. And that’s the audience that is targeted. Not everything needs to be dumbed down and targeted at the mass audience. It’s no different that Apple with the standard iPhone vs IPhone Pro. This is a dumb rationale. buy a pc if you're a "game enthusiast" for modern games. You're literally saying it's for the people who like to spend more money.
@@numnuts2672 it’s not a dumb rationale dude. A PC is more expensive than a console, if you want it to be on a similar scale to a Series X/PS5 Pro. You can’t deny that. Not every game is on PC either. If anything, your rationale of “just buy a PC” is the one that’s dumb

@@merathe9391 Yes, it's about value but my point takes that into account. The Pro isn't bad value for the money compared to a PC. Linus failed at building a computer with used parts that could match it for the price (the specs looked better but it still didn't perform as well). So the only worse value comparison is the normal PS5, but since consoles are more like specialized PC's these days it just follows the PC line of pay more and get less value but higher performance. I'm not justifying anything, I'm just stating some facts to put the conversation in proper context as some seem to be pretty uneducated on the subject. That and questioning the behavior of focusing on talking about the products one won't be getting.
Is it bad I bought the deluxe version of Rebirth twice? One for the physical unopened box on my shelf along with the special edit version of the soundtrack, then the digital deluxe to play?
The only thing I've learned from Sony is that buying the base console is a waste of money since in 3-4 years they're just gonna release the actual console anyway, and they will maybe have 3 or 4 games to go with it this time
Errr . . . Maybe if you're a broke teenager. I can't imagine still gaming on a PS4 pro and only upgrading now, plus I'll get a couple of hundred off trading in the base PS5.
Funny, I learned from Sony that you can happily buy their base console each generation and be guaranteed to have a great selection of consistent new game releases in a wide variety of genres over the next 7ish years before you need to even think about buying new hardware.
Games aren't made for you to enjoy, they are made for you to just get hooked so that they can siphon every single penny from you. You will just buy it and maybe play it for like a month or 2, when you are done with the repeating continents you will jump to another game.
@ Yep. I also skipped the PS4 pro during its time and I was able to take in all at once the enhancements of every PS4 game that I had! I’d rather wait for the next big next gen console that will be even more powerful instead of the same console I already have but with more resolution.
That’s one option and quite common. I’ll get the ps5 pro, and in the meantime I can easily save in the next 3 years and get the ps6 when it releases… I think when games that are more demanding like FF7 Rebirth and GTA6 releases next year you’ll see more people upgrading to the pro when they realise how bad the performance mode on the base ps5 is for these games.
Lol if you're being serious Max, and people are unsubscribing from you for saying this is good on the pro, then you are much better off without those people. What ridiculous cartoons these people must be
That would be cool but remake doesn't need a patch. On base ps5 it already runs at a clear 4k output at 60fps. Now if a patch could do something about those awful low res distant background textures then go for it!
It was definitely worth the upgrade for me, especially for VIIR & Spider-Man, and PS5 game with Dynamic Resolution. TH-cam really doesn't do the game justice though, especially in the HDR department as lot of vids I've noticed, even my own, aren't uploading in HDR. Anyway, if you're going to watch gameplay of it on here at least find yourself a 4K vid with HDR. Even then though you're still dealing with some serious compression. When I saw Kalm for the first time in game, I was almost brought to tears with how good the game looked.
I think the only grumble I have about Versatility is there's a little performance stutter? Running around and gently moving the camera, there's definitely a little jump from time to time. But I've also noticed it on the old system too, in both performance modes. So, assuming it's just the game engine. Otherwise I'm impressed with how it looks. It's how I wanted it to look on the base system.
Well played my first ff game ever and it was rebirth on the pro , I’m 12 hours in and it’s incredible Because it’s low res upscaled they can put on all the effects too at low cost
Ok I havent played FF7 (but have played other FF games in the series), so can someone explain to me what is the difference between Remake/Intergrade and Rebirth and should I buy both?
I can suggest playing the original PS1 game first, then Crisis Core (or watch a playthrough), then Remake (then the Intergrade DLC) and then Rebirth. There is a reason for that without wanting to spoil the story. I am sure some others may agree, but if you are pressed for time then yes, Remake, Intergrade then Rebirth.
The remake project for Final Fantasy VII consists of a three full length games, each adapting a portion of the original game's story and expanding it out to full game length. Part 1 and 2 have been released so far. Remake = Part 1 Rebirth = Part 2 If you're unsure what 'Intergrade' is. This is effectively the 'directors cut' rerelease version of Part 1. It is the enhanced PS5 and PC port of the original PS4 game that came out in 2020. It includes 60fps+ performance mode, additional features, gameplay tweaks and bug fixes. It also includes bonus DLC content in the form of an additional short story where you play as a different character and see events from their perspective. It also helps bridge the gap between Part 1 and 2 with some bonus ending cutscenes. This mode was named 'Intermission'. It should be played after completing the main story in Part 1.
I think it would be cool if they don't have us control / play as Cloud until he finds himself in the Lifestream in Part 3 (like since the events at the end of Rebirth we're now distanced from Cloud, because he's off in his own fantasy world) - so Icicle Inn, Snowboarding, Great Glacier & Northern Crater we play as Tifa / other characters while Cloud keeps doing odd stuff & we see Tifa's POV of that - would make the player feel separated from Cloud, like the rest of the party will be feeling at this point as he keeps acting like Aerith is still around. And the option to use party's that don't include Cloud could be a way of setting that up / getting player's used to not having Cloud around.
Playing through this hard mode on the Pro right now, it’s not as hard as Remake but man is it fun & beautiful. One chapter left & this confirms it’s my GOTY.
basically. pretty much just made for devs and enthusiasts to show what the pssr is capable of in its early stages. im definitely not buying a pro but it makes me excited to see what the pssr will be like a few years down the line in the ps6 considering how well it works now. we might actually have more games that run at 120fps in the future gen because of it
PC vs Console is just such a stupid conversation, this systems are not compiting on graphics, most people dont buy a Gaming Pc or a Console thinking on the graphics and resolutions, they are thinking on setup. People on console mostly want a gaming hardware for the living room or bedroom, connected to a Tv. They want to play that way, connecting a PC the same way its not the same at all. I love playing on the Living Room on a couch and inviting friends to play locally it just feels better for me. Pc gamers sit mostly on desks and play that way on mostly monitors.
Dont think they were dumb with the marketing they probably just couldnt show those games, gta6 is probably further off than ppl think and a remastered bloodborne probably doesnt exist. Im sure they wouldve loved to launch it with a new game but they probably just dont have any ready to be even shown.

@@tj3423 you're right. lol However, I still don't understand why PC's are compared to consoles. PC's will always have higher capabilities... and price too.
Yes, there is 0 percent chance that people just don’t like getting scammed for $700 for a digital ps5 pro with no accessories, when the digital base ps5 was $300 lower in price with accessories, many years ago. Surely everyone who dislike this almost nonexistent upgrade for most games must be the ones who bought the base ps5 like that. Get a grip.
Yeah, I agree it looks great and runs great. Can’t get over the price considering that if I trade in my PS5, I’ll only get back so much money and still have to pay too much for the PS5 Pro.
I’m getting whiplash just looking at how much the characters bounce up and down when riding chocobos. Like, do people bounce that much when horseback riding?
Actually yes, there are "stances" you're supposed to adopt based on what gait your horse is currently doing so that you don't bounce too much, but you will always be bouncing
"Versatile mode" how much percentage of graphic improvement compared to "Graphic mode"? Is it significant enough? Honestly I am interested in PS5 Pro, but so far I have been playing this game in graphic mode with 60fps because there is a mode on my TV that increases fps from 30fps to 60fps. So if versatile mode is only an improvement from graphic mode but 60fps without any other improvements, does that mean I have been indirectly playing this game in versatile mode on ps5, right?
What you are saying is simply impossible. VRR that you have improves perfomance if the game is running below 60 fps, lets say is losing 10 to 12 frames. Graphics mode runs at 30 fps and there is no software on this planet to make it ran at 60 fps.
@@edooo345 I have been playing all ps5 games graphic mode or fidelity mode 30fps to 60fps on my tv, even VRR mode off, I don't know what technology this tv uses, but yes in my eyes this is 60fps. Even this tv actually can't 120fps, but there is a mode that can play ps5 games to 120fps but the resolution is locked at 1080p.
Most likely, your TV is doing some kind of interpolation to achieve "smooth motion" or some brand name for interpolation. This means it sorta generates frames between frames coming from your PS5, effectively doubling the frame rate. The effectiveness of this varies per TV, often resulting in variable frame rates and also visual artifacts (because the TV is essentially doing it's best to guess the in-between frame, these in between frames can look kinda funky, though bear in mind there are often undetectable to the naked eye). For you, this could be totally fine, but I have tendency to see the stutter that comes from generated frames and I'm even more likely to see the visual artifacts. What's often worse, though, is that this process where your TV is essentially creating and inserting frames between the "real" frames takes time, and that usually means the TV will delay the time it takes for image to get from the PS5 to your TV, so it has time to slip those TV-generated frames in between, and this will result in input latency. Again, people's sensitivity to any one of these caveats will differ. I don't use that stuff. Don't like it, but if it doesn't both you or take out of the game, enjoy your game and enjoy saving $700 bucks. Side note: Modern upscaling tech like DLSS (Nvidia) and FSR (AMD) also have "frame generation" as a newer feature, that does a kinda sorta similar thing to your TV but in a more efficient, and gamer friendly way, where the generated frames should be less noticeable and get generated at such a rate that input lag is a non-factor, but even then these technologies don't really work well with 30 FPS right now. It's much better at boosting something like a native 60 FPS to a 120+ FPS output via "Frame Generation".
Pc gaming is not the way to go like you said , way to many bad ports and a stutterfest , even on top notch hardware, i jumped ship myself and gave the pc to my boy ,now rocking a ps5 pro and not looking back
No. Nothing was changed for the Pro version. Its using the exact same settings. The only difference is that the Pro mode is 60 fps + better image quality (resolution) than the base PS5 30 fps 4K mode. But Square Enix did not change or fix anything within the game itself.
Seeing the insane scale and intricate level of detail on the sister ray in real time makes me wish that in remake they actually rendered out the far away backgrounds instead of those utterly shit low res textures
I hate that it feels like Devs nowadays purposefully make the games look muddy in performance mode or choppy 30fps in resolution mode. What the fuck happened to Demon Souls quality??? That game looks so fucking good on a base PS5, its actually mind blowing. Its like we are regressing, and the consoles are barely hitting the 5 year point. What the fuck kind of new tech are they implementing that is worth games ending up looking like hot garbage???
Most of this is really just Unreal Engine 5 and the "all-in-one" nature of game engines nowadays, which leads to a lot of overhead on top of overhead in the pursuit of flexibility (meaning "can be used to make any type of game"). UE5 is stupidly heavy for this reason. Before, every dev had their own in-house engine built specifically for the types of games they create, and didn't have to worry about making it usable for anyone else or for any other type of game. But now that graphics are getting so complicated, a lot of dev studios simply don't have the talent/resources to keep up their own engine tech so they switch to UE, and inherit all the problems of UE lol

The normal one is more than enough, but for enthusiasts, here’s a little extra

@@dr.edwardrichtofen365 PC is for gaming enthusiasts. There is a clear difference, consoles simply cannot beat a gaming focused PC.. Consoles are for more budget minded people, and for people don't want to bother with drivers/updates and such that can sometimes occur with a PC. A multi billion dollar company will be able to out-buy a single person and be able to resell things at a far cheaper price.. so ofc.. and duh.. a console will almost always offer a better value to performance.

Errr . .
If you want Quality Mode in 60 fps. Get the PRO. If you want Quality Mode in 30 fps, get the base PS5.
Or if you only have a 1080p tv get the base ps5 and play it on performance mode at 60fps.

I believe its the PSSR doing its work.

Ok I havent played FF7 (but have played other FF games in the series), so can someone explain to me what is the difference between Remake/Intergrade and Rebirth and should I buy both?
ff7 rebirth is a sequel to ff7 remake . Play ff7 remake first
Remake Intergrade is the first one. Rebirth is the sequel.
Remake = Part 1
Rebirth = Part 2
If you're unsure what 'Intergrade' is.
@@yannickyuthea3064owh ok a different story then I will buy both. Thanks
Ah, yes, the PSSR and SHTR technologies...

Graphics mode runs at 30 fps and there is no software on this planet to make it ran at 60 fps.
you can only get graphics mode to be 60 frames with the PS5 Pro
@@xenogears5177 If that's the case, then indirectly I've been playing versatile mode on PS5 all this time.

No. Nothing was changed for the Pro version. Its using the exact same settings. The only difference is that the Pro mode is 60 fps + better image quality (resolution) than the base PS5 30 fps 4K mode. But Square Enix did not change or fix anything within the game itself.

The new tech was for cheapening production costs. It just unintentionally also made games muddy while limiting performance.
We are regressing in every way, mate. As a people, quality, way of life.
That game might look good but still plays like PS3 game. There's more to a game than just the graphics
