Uncle Mike comes from a long line of "smack talkers." No matter the subject, he will give a good ribbing about the topic at hand. And he takes it even better than he dishes it out.
I love these episodes with your old friends. The camaraderie and friendship comes through and it’s a joy to watch. We all wish to have friends like that.
Uncle mike sounds like his brother bob and Jim, oh I don’t miss or any of that stuff🤣🤣🤣. Glad you guys are hunting elk together and having a good time.
He surely is that. It is so fun now that he has had surgery to improve his hearing. He has never had a bad day in his life and is always smiling and making others smile.
@@randallharmsen5802 I'm with you on the good hearing comment concerning Marcus's hearing. I lost all of my hearing in my left ear and 35 - 40% in my right ear. I can hardly carry on a conversation with another person who is only a couple of yards away. One piece of advice to whoever will take it: Always wear good hearing protection whenever you will be exposed to any loud noise. Working around air powered tools and machinery and shooting without hearing protection during my younger years, destroyed my hearing. Thanks Randy for sharing another great video with us. Stan
Wow- what a memory jogger- long drive but in the USA, good friends and lots of BS, a beautiful elk, great food and Marcus(a definite keeper - knows how to work with old people!). Time to put up!!
Freaked me out when I saw the Eagle Guest in the background. I live a mile from there. You are in the middle of some of the best elk hunting in the west. I have two elk hunts coming up here myself (my daughter and I) Happy hunting!
Great episode! Lol you might be a Newberg if "stands out like a turd in a punch bowl " works it's way into every day conversation. Love these family shows!👍👍👍
Man, I'd love that deal you gave Marcus, I live in Northern Colorado in the Steamboat Springs area and would love to sign up as a packer! even if I dont get a leupold rifle scope in exchange. Love you guys, I am an Adult Onset Hunter after growing up overseas in a family where nobody hunts or owns guns. Take care, keep finding fresh tracks!
What a great group you got there, Marcus with the fresh coffee, smoked elk and gravy ,and packing out the bull, all while getting it on video! I see why you dont fire him..lol. just kidding. I cant wait for the next episode!
You didn't even have to tell everyone that was your Uncle, you can tell your related with the same Finlander looks and sense of humor. I heard the recap podcast on HuntTalk with Marcus and Dale, but I look forward to actually watching video of how it unfolds. I am sure I am in for some extra laughs that wasn't in the podcast as well. Thanks for sharing.
This is good inspiration. I’m headed out to help a buddy with his Utah over the counter cow hunt, I’ll probably try and kick up some Chukar too. Good luck!
Man Marcus I would jump all over that trade! Nobody has every offered that for me. My whole life it's been "hey kid grab ahold of that meat bag and head for the truck". For that I got a good breakfast the next morning and a ride home. Which I happily took. I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings
I learned to shoot like that when I was growing up. You would be surprised at how fast you can get the next round ready. You learn to reach over the scope with your left hand while still supporting the rifle.
Episode 2 will be dropping Wednesday (11/20) at 6 AM MST.
Thanks, I love following all of your hunts. The suspense of posting the next episode is worse than the draw.
Randy Newberg, Hunter I’m glad you guys drop your stuff in the morning. My employer isn’t.
I love seeing a couple of old timers getting out and exercising their sense of humor. Looking forward to tomorrow's episode.
Got to hear the story in person, now time to put it in to action! Can’t wait for more!
This is like our elk hunt. Old timer's talking smack and fresh ground good coffee. Junior's packing out too!

Really enjoy the family banter. Hope to see you making more of these memories.
All the “ya, you know its” makes my MN heart happy in this series!
You guys should be proud of yourselves. Content, camaraderie, footage, and the post production.
Your show is the best! Thanks, John W.
Great to see you and Uncle Mike brings back old memories. Thanks for everything.
Great Show ! What a great New Mexico Bull ! Thanks Randy and Michael !
We sure love your videos RANDY! You show the reality of hunting. Always look forward to your episodes!
Thank you. And thanks for watching.
Uncle mike sounds like his brother bob and Jim, oh I don’t miss or any of that stuff🤣🤣🤣. Glad you guys are hunting elk together and having a good time.
Uncle Mike is such a hoot! Awesome bull hope Mike finishes the deal. Marcus coffee maker and head cook, gotta love that too!
He surely is that. It is so fun now that he has had surgery to improve his hearing. He has never had a bad day in his life and is always smiling and making others smile.
Randy Newberg, Hunter we all need that humorous person in our lives! Yes hearing is so important hopefully the surgery improved it for him.

Shaping up nicely! Looking forward to the next episode!
Great start of the series! That's a heck of a deal Marcus...heck, I'll come help if mounts my new scope! Can't wait to see what's next.

“Some” of the best elk hunting?? THE best elk hunting. But SSHHHH🤫🤫🤫!! They’ll all wanna come.

Great way to start the week! Looking forward to the next video!!
We raise our bulls not to spook at minor things like noisy carnivores. Haha. Welcome to the NM wind...

Excited to watch tomorrow. Get him, Mike!
I saw bulls down there every day too. Its an awesome area. Hard to beat NM for elk hunting!
Beautiful footage. Uncle Mike’s accent makes me miss the old timers back home.
Fingers crossed.
Looks like a really good time/hunt forming up there. You guys are living life to the absolute fullest!

Randy, I always look forward to your videos .
"Stands out like a turd in a punch bowl." I can't wait to use this phrase.
Looking forward to tomorrow. Love that you are hunting with family.
Uncle Mike is the guy he make you laugh at of nothing and he looks like a OG hunter...
You lead quite the life Rando!
And man I wish I had the confidence your brother does 😄
10:20 guys I feel for you still using jetboil products. You’ve gotta try MSR. You’ll never go back!
Not a thing wrong with JetBoil.
This is good inspiration. I’m headed out to help a buddy with his Utah over the counter cow hunt, I’ll probably try and kick up some Chukar too. Good luck!
Incredible! Elk all over the place!
Can't wait to see this one play out tomorrow!
I love the Minnesoooata accent comes out strong when the family's around lmbo
Man what a fun episode. Can’t wait to see a big bull down.
This one's gonna be fun.. Marcus making off like a bandit with a deal like that.

Uncle Mike is too funny
How come you have Tennessee plates?
Awesome Thanks for sharing Randy
My favorite videos are of you and your uncle.
I think you will like this one with Uncle Mike.
@@Fresh_Tracks He kinda reminds me of me. Old school.
Like a turd in a punch bowl - I almost wrecked laughing!!!! Great channel Randy!
Watching videos while driving?
Irrigating on the quad bud
Next time you come to New Mexico, get some chocolate pinon coffee from Aroma coffee. It's pretty good.
Listened to the pod cast of this hunt been looking forward to it. I am feeling really exotic😂😂😂
I don't know...things are just starting off way too fast and perfect. Good luck tomorrow. Mahalo and Aloha from the Big Isle "🤙"
You got a great uncle!
Man he is funny you weren't kidding he is funny🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 great bulls
Giving wind that strong what would you suggest not taking a shot in as far as mph both rifle and archery?
3:05 Uncle Mike the lefty shooting a righthanded bolt. Hopefully he doesn’t need a super quick followup!

Get him in the morning boys!!
That’s my Grandpa mike 👍🏻
Notice any mule deer during your scouting??
Can’t wait till morning.......
Good scouting!
I love my state scenery I hope I get to hunt soon since I'm barely getting things together
I'd love to hang out with you guys. Such a great group!
What's up with the Tennessee plates?
Gimme that smoked elk recipe!
Good stuff & funny. No elks in NM...
I’m starting to see where Randy gets his personality.
Raandy!
Whats with the Tennessee plates? Hiding the identity of the great Randy Newberg.... LOL
Lol - "Turd in punch bowl"!
I don't recognize Mike. He is a trapper and from MN. Is he a member of the MTA? I don't think I have ever seen him at any of our functions.
Randy, Why does your truck have plates from Tennessee when you say you live in Montana? I've noticed this on several of your videos.
It is Nissan's truck and they are based in TN.
@@Fresh_TracksThanks for the answer. That makes sense. I do really enjoy watching your hunts.
He sticks out like a turd in a punch bowl! 😂🤣
Where is this in NM?
What unit you on, Randy? man that’s awesome!
Sheridan Saunders looks like unit 13 but I could be wrong. Lots of big bulls down in the south west
Its 16e. Definitely a overlooked unit. We hunt the same exact area.
I wouldn't mind knowing which unit that is..
Cole Burns looks like 13 but don’t quote me on that one
Cole Burns maybe even in the 16s
Sounds like a great trade Marcus! I’d do it!
How much did we get off the coffee when using code "randy"??? Haha
Yes!!!! It's a Marcus sighting. Hey Randy I think you have gave enough promotion to Nissan to warrant a new truck from them...jus sayin
I think he should go with a GM product. Lol
You live in Bozeman, Mt, but your truck has Tennessee tags. Why is that?
It is Nissan's truck and they are based in TN.
@@Fresh_Tracks That is what I figured. Just curious.
I love Mondays.
Glad I'm not the only kook making pour over coffee while elk hunting.
Some how I think this Hunt is not going to go as planned.Backup plans
Like a turd in a punch bowl !!! Hahahahahaaaa
Eastern NM?
Nope south central. Just SW of datil. Lesser of the 16s. ;)
Tell uncle Mike to step it up. You guaranteed a good laugh. One chuckle but I think he can do better. No pressure though.......
Wow ok we looked for 3 days in a unit for 13 hours a day and saw one track and no elk lmao
#sickfootie
#EatTheWolf
Surprised to see you talk so loud when the first bull is only 300 yards away!
You should shoot that one....heard that somewhere before
