After watching your last video, "I was afraid, I was petrified thinking I couldn't live without following your adventures for a while. (...) And ... So you're back! from other spaces with that big smile upon your face!" Wow! Nice to have you back, Captain, forging new adventures! Thanks.
    Best regards from Brazil!
    Um forte abraço do Brasil!

A suggestion for an episode. A tour of the boat showing the condition of various parts of the boat after sailing across the Atlantic. What would you have done differently. What parts have worked up to expectations? Which parts should have been made differently? Etc.

Thanks again Alan for the sounds of boat and sailing. Sounds so relaxing, that it somtimes lulls me to sleep. I then have to rewind and see what I missed. Congrats on your landfall.

Welcome aboard! Very challenging winds however I'm heading East in this video as opposed to the typical W during the crossing. Good eye!

How delightful to be coastal cruising and exploring after that ocean passage. Great weather for the run up to Schull … your sail seems to be holding up well. Glad you had a good rest at anchor. Do you have any particular routine for anchor watch when you’re on the hook? ⛵️🇨🇦⚓️🙂

Great to see some of my favourite cruising grounds Alan. It gets even better in my opinion further west, but understand you need to travel east. Agree with anchoring or picking up a mooring..
    Best wishes Alan, Nigel.

My preferred nights are certainly at anchor- but with a coffee early morning! Thank you for sharing with us.

For the next few passages I'll be towing the dinghy as I sail up the coast of Ireland. I go on coffee fasts for months at a time especially when I am sailing (the first few days brings headaches as the caffeine works it way through) and this leads to better sleep I believe.

Hi Alan been fascinated by you and your boat. Could you explain to a retired sloop sailer how your junk rigged mast works without shrouds.

    • @RoversAdventure

It's low aspect and been designed to be free standing with a substantial bury down to the keel for it's height.

The first part of the video shows the view aft, and the outboard is clearly on the stern mounted bracket. Later it is mounted to the bracket on the stern pulpit. Did you actually move it in transit or do you have a second outboard?

Great stuff! Think I'll tip a pint of Guinness in your honor.
Question: Just noticed the Honda outboard. When did you change, what happened? Must have missed that.

    • @RoversAdventure
      @RoversAdventure  6 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

The Honda is on loan from a Rover hero for powering my dinghy

During long passages across the sea, does the sound from the mast, or other sound, ever disturb you? The squeeking we heard in this video would get my peace in the long run.

It was too bad that you were not able to follow through with the plan to sail from Halifax directly to Horta with Dan from Thunder Bay. It would have been great to see how Wave Rover ii sailed in a direct comparison to a Globe Class 580. But the build schedule was delayed and these things happen. I must say you do appear much more relaxed using the Junk Rigg and your vessel is much more " Ship- Shape" with out the additional six sails the 580 uses.
