I don’t think of Los Angeles when thinking about skyscrapers
But it has a nice skyline.
Houston and Dallas
NYC, Chicago, Miami, Seattle, San Francisco, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas
Hopefully this new skyscraper in Oklahoma City Oklahoma is tornado proof like the new Mercy hospital in Joplin Missouri because tornadoes can hit big cities.
It will be. Devon Tower is already very tall (tallest building in the plains states and between Chicago and LA - excluding Texas), has handled tornadoes just fine (including the 2013 outbreak). All OKC tornadoes hit the suburbs around downtown but never in. High straight winds are MUCH more of a concern but like Chicago - OKC builds nicely for that.
Can’t wait! I hope they do build it, and make sure it’s tornado proof!
It will be. Tornadoes rarely if ever hit downtown, they mostly always hit the south suburbs, unfortunately but also fortunately.
Dream big, go for it!
It’s cheap too! Lots of people moving there.
Shhhhhh…. Don’t tell everyone we don’t want it to turn into let’s say….. California 😮😂
@@BigCountryASF people think that ca is expensive, and it is, so are the houses, but only along the coast. 100 miles inland and houses are just as cheap as Oklahoma.
Will it lean, like the one in SF?
Isn't the whole point of tall skyscrapers is due to the real estate demand of an area?
Cause thats whats nost important right bow, we ABSOLUTELY NEED this 🙄
why?
cant wait⚡️⚡️
I hope it gets built
OKC is a great location because the city is clean and has a much lower crime rate than every large city in the United States. Awesome!!!🙂
If you build it, they will come!
Now it won’t be once it’s known that’s it’s actually a decent place. You can kiss those stats goodbye
@@motorcyclemichael2182that doesn’t apply when it comes to skyscrapers. They’re only built if there’s a demand for it
Not true. Do you watch the local OKC evening news? OKC has one of the highest crime rates in America compared to communities of any size. It’s in competition with Tulsa for grim stats. Check FBI crime statistics. In OKC it’s 37 crimes per 1000, that’s extremely high. In fact the state of OK is ranked 16th out of 50 in the highest violent crime rates.
they shoulda built this in Ohio 🤣🤣
No.
Mmmmm naaaa not Oklahoma city there nothing there only 1 tall building that's all city is boring like they say yes tornado alley move it to Austin or Houston...
What Oklahoma needs to worry about is the people who are homeless and hungry. Instead of worrying about building buildings that doesn't do nothing but line the pockets of the rich.
Stolen land.
Who stole what?
All land is has changed hands many times throughout history, most of it conquered at one time or another. So pretty much all land is "stolen" by that criteria.
OKC was not stolen land. Around it, Yes; but OKC was historically never tribal land.
@@rchilde1 , none of it was ever tribal lands. Europeans are the only ones that think they can own land.
@@donkey3187 , prove it. You can’t. The concept is a foreign concept brought by white and black aliens.
