In the first example, since alcohol is obtained, so hydroxonium ion must be present in the medium and if it is there, then it can easily cause deprotection of amine group. Why it is not happening?

If we use dil. acid then boc deprotection do not happen.For boc deprotection we need strong acid. Dil. acid solution is sufficient to get alcohol.

@Engineer, LiAlh4 cannot reduce carbon carbon isolated double bond but if phenyl or any kind of group which are in conjugation with double bond then it will reduce. IN SHORT U CAN LEARN THAT LIALH4 CANNOT REDUCE CARBON CARBON ISOLATED DOUBLE BOND BUT IT CAN REDUCE CARBON CARBON CONJUGATED DOUBLE BOND.
