I don't know if this story is in the bible but the story mentioned in the Surah is about the garden is about brothers who inherited a garden from their father. During his lifetime, the father allowed the poor people to take from the garden's fruits. When he died, his sons, except one, decided to prevent the poor from benefiting from the garden. They decided to go one day and gather all the garden's fruits before the poor people come. However, God destroyed the garden to show them that the garden is his in the first place and the poor people have a share in it.
the story is from the Stories of children of Israel... maybe there is something similar in the Bible... Allah knows best

about the one chosen, is prophet jonah .. when he got sad and left his people and didn't accomplish his task which God ordered him ,, so a whale(fish) sollowed him when he was sailing,, then he asked forgiveness from God ,, then God forgave him ,, and he came back to his people ,, but they all became Muslims(submitters to God ) after they noticed in his absence that he was a true messenger of God ..
Quran has many context because its focused in delivering the message of worshiping God alone, repenting and doing Good to prepare for the afterlife ... ..

Allah tells in this surah about the people of Makkah who deny the guidance and the clear truth that Muhammad came with and they attributed madness to Muhammad because of it. That's why Allah tells Muhammad that he is not crazy as the ignorant among his people claim. Along with this, Allah gave him the exalted character, which included the qualities of modesty, kindness, bravery, pardoning, gentleness and every other good characteristic.
'They wish that you should compromise with them, so they (too) would compromise with you.' in this verse, basically the people of Makkah who are indulged in shirk(Association with god like idolatry) and Muhammad called them to worship only one true god(Allah) but they rejected Muhammad and beat him and his disciples. But when they found that people were attracted to islam then they wished that Muhammad would permit them (their idolatry) and they also would permit Muhammad (to practice his religion). This means that Muhammad should be quiet about their gods and abandon the truth that Muhammad is upon.
Basically then Makkah's people think that the idles they worshipped had special connection to Allah, and idle can fulfil their desire. But Muhammad told them to only worship Allah, not to associate Allah with these idols.
Yes brother. In the end it was a reference to Prophet Muhammad because his people were accusing him of being mad or bewitched or even of being a poet. He had ti face all kinds of accusation from the pagans of that society.

Yes that's right.. so in the beginning of this surah and the end of it.. it was actually the Almighty pointed out a direct conversation to Mohammed (salla Allah alayhi wa sallem) to warn them about their behaviors as they where pagans back then in Arabia.

There are some stories Bible that are not in the Quran and vice versa.

Nearly all profets have been called bad name. They denied the message Ibrahim, Noah,Moses, Jesus and Mohammed peace be with them all.

But Allah chose him , Here Allah is telling us about ALAEHISALAM , He was also a prophet , Allah is giving Mohammad saw a reference of him that “ Be not like the companion of fish “ because he was Swallowed by A whale by the Allah’s will.
