Hi, a PRI therapist prescribed me this as a first exercise and it never felt good or like it was helping, now I understand why and what to do instead! Great video!
2 questions, for the 2nd workout when putting feet on floor and applying pressure, do my feet have to be pointed straight? I ask cause my left foot points outward. 2nd question, if i want to do the 90 90 wall hip shift , can i put heel inserts in my shoe to avoud dorsiflexation? I ask because i have insertional achillis tendonitis which flares up easily when my foot is dorsiflexed.
Another great video, thanks! Great sense of humor! About "bad mother tucker")))))) I completely and absolutely agree, I came to this by experimenting on myself as well😆😆😆
bro I love your Humor! a bad mothertucker xDD Now a hard one. Do you treat vice versa when someone is secondary wide ISA, if i recall you want to get you extension/ add/ IR back before you move to primary missing moves (flex/ABd/ER). Or no matter wut you want Flex/abd/er and then ext/add/IR ? i get that you treat the breathing mechanics different, but i am asking about pelvic. Plus you would do some of this Sided to get better Anteroposterior expansion for wides ISA?
It really depends on the presentation, but I don’t really do the tuck with anyone anymore. A simple adjustment for wide could be to do some of these in sidelying
Zac! About breathing, you said not all the way out. You stopped with breathing differences too, narrow(open mouth soft exhale) Vs wide (blow candles/ balloon/ Straw) side abs all the way out of breath and hold?
@@ZacCupplesPT cheers mate, do you have videos lateral pelvic tilt type issues? Also when I stand with feet facing forward and relax,my hips and upper body rotate to 2 o'clock while lower doesn't. I can't figure it out.
Hello Zac, i have a left AIC pattern, right leg longer than left and disc herniation in L5-S1 on left leg, sciatica pain all the way down the left leg, should i do these exercises ?
Foe the starting supine hip extension exercise, does it matter which leg is extended or bent? Especially as we talk about asymmetries between left and right?
I typically test it passively and am strict about keeping it in sagittal plane. No sidebends, rounding, other leg moving. You can do it actively and look for similar things
I was prescribed the 90/90 and my si joint pain has been worse when sitting since I began doing this exercise twice a day and I believe this exercise might be the culprit. Thanks for sharing I will try this new exercise. Is it okay if I wear my si joint belt when doing this exercise?
Papa bill has a video showing the same exercise and stating that the wall push side will see an increase in external rotation, I just wish there would be some continuity between all of you guys on TH-cam@@ZacCupplesPT
Hi Zac. Thanks for sharing the video I switched from the 90/90 to the supine hip extension. I was also prescribed the decline rock back to do immediately after the 90/90. th-cam.com/video/Gd9584Hupio/w-d-xo.html I noticed this video is 4 years old and I was wondering whether or not you still believe this is a good exercise to perform?

It can do well for some, but I do think there are better moves or can sequence differently
A bad mother tucker.........
You have reached highest level of sarcasm😂😂😂
Hahahaha I try
Tremendous video! You are a gem to the field
Thank you so much
You're an amazing teacher.........and your channel is so comfortable and fun to hang out in, and work in..............hude appreciation from me:
Wow, thank you! Happy to have you here!
Makes a ton of sense. Thanks Zac!
You bet!
Great progression!!!
Thank you so much
Awesome information.
Thank you so much!!
That 90-90 I remember from the postural restoration inst.
Exactly!!!
Glad you agree!

Can we get a video on the best postion to sleep.
Been something I’ve been thinking about
Jesus , this one is gold !!!!
Thank you!!
Right on spot 👏 would you consider supine arm bar and cross connect as well?
Cross connect has too many pieces to be a good starting point for newbies IMO but the armbar could be a good choice

What if u dont have contact with those points u mentioned?
Zac!

Is this used to treat folks stuck in the left AIC pattern like on the pri channels?
Some moves can help if that’s a thing

I was also bad mother tucker 😂

Most do okay starting with both
Can the standing low supported hip extension be used as a progression and achieve the same things?
Hello sir, can you recommend me exercises for left aic right bc pattern??
How do you determine if folks don’t have 90° hip flexion? Either I don’t see it that much, or i don’t know what I’m looking at when it’s there.
I typically test it passively and am strict about keeping it in sagittal plane. No sidebends, rounding, other leg moving.
You can do it actively and look for similar things
Hello, Zac! What are the pauses between the sets? How long does they take? What is good to do during the pauses?
They can be brief. Usually 10-20s or so. Compose your thoughts, reset, and go
@@ZacCupplesPT thanks!

Yeah. Sometimes it’s given too early in the progression. Assuming your medically cleared, SI joint belt is totally okay
Why push leg can increase ir and other side increases er
IR is associated with force production and weight bearing. ER is absorption and less weight bearing

what if my big toe base dowsnt touch the ground/wall, only if i tip my feet in so calcaneus collapse and feet doesnt pronate???
Ideally you don’t want that. I’d either use a wedge/ramp under your feet or try sidelying
@@ZacCupplesPT thank you zac. how to position the ramp?
i will givw it a try tomorror

It’s not something I’ve been using as much for similar reasons Re: orientation. Just have found better moves
