I'm watching through the whole ship review playlist in order and I must say I really appreciate the change to the layered breakdown approach. It's very helpful for me in terms of preplanning what changes and upgrades to make with regards to hab placement and reactor/grav drive upgrades should I happen across any of these. It saves me cash in the builder in the long run and I really appreciate that since I'm not great at setting up cash exploits.
I have several little ships that I use when I fly alone. This is one of them. I did the exact fuel upgrade you did plus I doubled up on the better engines and maxed out a reactor for more power. With just Vanguard weapons (6x) on here, she is a little beast.
Fine, I’ll have my morning coffee going back and watching reviews that I previously missed liking and commenting on. Great review. Ship size is about as small as I can comfortably get away with and still keep some cargo and speed of 3015 engines.
The crew value of a ship is taken as the lowest of 3 factors: a) Ship-based 1 :- the number of crew stations (from cockpit and habs) b) Ship-based 2 :- the crew capacity of the systems (weapons, shield, reactor, engines) c) Character-based - leadership skill For this ship, the crew capacity of the systems comes to 3.25, but the crew stations are just the 2 from the cockpit; if you swapped the all-in-one for a control station you would have 6(?) crew stations, but the ship would show the crew as 3 or 4 (depending on whether fractions are rounded up or down) because the crew capacity is now the limiting factor.
Oh yeah and I agree... I do have some big ships but I fly around what is basically just a modified Deimos Longsword. It's not a tiny ship but it has 8 max crew, all the weapons in the world, and is all one level so it feels seamless. It's just like cars; the fun ones are small and light but an SUV gets daily tasks done much better.
Yeah, im the same. I used to have a huge ship that could do it all, but now i fly a much smaller vessel that can do the same stuff, just not as effective
Have you thought about doing a Top Five comparison video for each class of ship. And in those classes best brawler, best cargo ship, best all-rounder, etc?
TLDR: I need a better brawler and a 2nd transport/cargo ship. The rambler in white might work better for me. I do like this color scheme because it seems a bit Freestar Ranger, but white is the way to go on this one for me. At this point Star Eagle is such a wonderful all-rounder for my needs I'm having a problem finding a reason for any other ship. Star Eagle is good at brawling and has good capacity. What I'd like is the option of a better (than the Eagle) brawling ship AND a better hauler (more cargo). Two ships for one or the other and the Eagle as a daily driver works for me. But until I get my 1st outpost up and running and I'm over the learning curve, Star Eagle is doing the job.
It is one of the customized ships. Most shipyards will have a single custom ship that is always there, but only there(if there are multiple ship sellers at a single location they'll often each have one). The Vagabond should be Titan's customized ship. Usually customized ships have rare parts, and offer early access to parts before you have a high enough character level for them to appear piecemeal. The Vagabond is equipped with the SG-35 Deflector, which is mid-tier for total shields but takes up to 12 power.

Do you have to steal it or buy it? And where?

The Vanguard Obliterator Autoprojector is on all of my ships. Six of them is all you need for most the of the game but more weapons is always helpful.

It's in the works, just finishing up the ship list first.

It is nice to have multiple ships for each role, but having one all arounder, specially early on is much more viable
Where did you get this ship? I mean you buy it or you steal it? I've never seen one, except on Mars but i can't enter...
I bought it. It's quite common in ship vendors.

Venus is the time dilation planet.
Mercury works aswell, just not as long but still enough to reset thr vendors
