I have long enjoyed watching Cleetus and crew grow their channel, but the most impressive thing I have saw from him is his unselfish desire to help promote other, lower sub count TH-camrs. Guy seems like a legit good dude and watching him go from putting deer whistles on Corvettes to running with the big boys has been really cool.

Project Neighbour is still going strong, it's been smashed up a couple of times and had an engine refresh not long ago but it mostly does burnouts and drifting these days. I doubt Garret will ever let that car die seeing it has a special place in his heart.
Well, they hand built a 5,000hp, 5sec race car from a pile of straight tubes, and a carbon body.. No shit.. Sounds crazy to say, but that's facts brother.. I had a fox body spiral so out of control, I had to sell it as soon as it was complete.. Was gonna be a small block powerglide fox w/ 8.8 cheap, but honestly it was the beginning of the street outlaws season 2 or something, and racing was really ramping back up, so I went full out after getting a good deal on the billet BBC, over the next 4yrs it turned into a 25-5 double frame rail, 518 billet BBC, 118mm precision turbo, rpm TH400, fabricated 9" rear by Tin soldiers, over $15k in paint and powder coat.. the motor alone made 1056hp, the turbo kit bolted on, and made 1680hp on 5.5lbs (wastegates open) and 2620hp on 20lbs & 3490hp on 30lbs.. They stopped there, but the motor was capable of 45-50lbs.. It was TOO Nice, once complete.. I literally took it to a car show in town just to show it off, and a guy from Texas put in an offer on my YB post and offered $130k, so I sold it.. he was the orig owner of TSP..
Leroy, Mullet, Ruby, and the blazer all run Holley, McFlurry is on Haltech. Eagle is the first FuelTech they have.. Edit- I think because of steel roof and quarters, it’s weighing in at a shade over 2850 with him in it.

In 19 I made a YT account to upload videos of RC cars, and started following him and others in the car community. Never did upload videos, but watched way too many 😂 Next thin I know a few years later I was driving an hour or so from Clearwater to The Freedom Factory. I’m still flabbergasted. The man is a force. The car weights 2468lbs with no driver. A lockup does not give you all the hp to the rear wheels. It eliminates any slip but you still have your parasitic drivetrain loss. Therefore not all the power makes it to the rear but it’s worth every penny having the option. Some vehicles will lose more than 20%+ to the rear. So if you are making 5,000hp you could possibly be losing 1,000hp with 20% slip on top of the parasitic drivetrain loss. We can see all this with sensors on the driveshaft etc and why data is king for tuning.

Anytime you are talking about drivetrain loss, you are referring the hp from that point. Yes his car though does make about 6k. If he did not have a lockup you would have not seen 5k on that run. I mean, it's an all billet proprietary engine that doesn't even share bearing sizes with the Chrysler hemi so not sure where you wanted to go with that. The hemi chamber is great for drag racing for sure but this isn't an old 426 based engine.

If you run a PLR engine, you run Precision turbos and Fueltech - period. They literally have the tunes pre made - they literally just plug and play stuff. If you watch his testing videos they can remote tune it better than most can on site tune. The gas tank in the front has the supression nozzles right on it. he is running 2 10# bottles of fire suppression

it's not so much that a hub dyno is more accurate, it's that you can't transfer that kind of power from tires to the rotor in a normal one. the wheels would peel off instantly.
I always thought that hub Dyno wheelies where so impressive until I watched Cletus's video. I learned they start in low gear. Because of this, it's not nearly as impressive as I thought. Dyno runs are typically done in direct or high gear where the axle tq is much lower.
The car is like 2600 with driver.. now you see why it went a 5 sec pass after just one shakedown session.. Pretty cool what an open checkbook, amazing sponsors cuz of your outreach, and one of the best chassis builders in the game RN.. I'm happy for him, but I wouldn't want nothing that crazy, and maintenance extensive..
That 3718.5KW is the electrical output in KILOWATTS Edit: this is the wattage for the burst panel run (5,052.1 hp) / 3,767.3kw= 1,000.01336 watts which is no wonder y the fuses instantly blew

It was 2468 with no driver and no weight bars. It was just under 2700 with him in it. What it weights at a race will depend on the class rules.

The g-forces upon acceleration, having the gas tank in the front helps it force fuel quicker, top fuel and funny car do the same thing.

Our friend Cleetus is going to be in a Nascar Arca Series Race at Daytona in Feb. I believe the 15th or 16th.
