I'm 40 and showed my 5 year old this the other day to show him the amazing tv shows I watched as a kid. Got really emotional and struggled to hide it. Stunning theme tune and brought back so many memories of a fantastic show.
I'm 17 and my dad introduced this show to me when I was really little (around 2010) and I was absolutely obsessed with it, it's cool how different generations can appreciate the same things
Get your child as many of these Cartoons on DVD as possible... quick, while there is still Time before their brain is rotted by the modern drivel!! 😁 I've done this for 2 kids now, just don't forget the juice carton and crisps for the full effect 😉

For me in the late 80s and early 90s, the surprise of what came on TV next was everything when it came to Thundercats, He-Man, BraveStarr, Jayce & The Wheeled Warriors and TMNT. I'd blow up in excitement soon as the intro starts.

It's not weird! After watching this theme song video for the 1st time in like 5 yrs, I started tearing up/crying. I think it has to do with nostalgia attached to the series and the high anime/story-telling quality. Rankin-Bass also followed up with Silverhawks which is similar to TC in everyway...Not quite as gd, but when you're 1st it's hard to hav the same success...;-)
We need a channel or something that can air a lot of these 80s cartoons. Even obscure ones so everybody can watch them. We can have certain cartoons that ran for 1 season and/or got canceled still needs to re-run somewhere in the modern day so the kids of the current day see what their parents or grandparents watched. I know certain shows had bad frames in their show, but nevertheless, certain shows still have good stories. 60s cartoons, 70s cartoons, 80s cartoon, and 90s cartoons, including the very rare obscure ones need to see light again. Certain cartoons got done so dirty that they aired once on TV and never aired again, and they didn't even put them on casettes or DVDs at all. They should Ultra HD and restore these shows.

+rshadio The animation of the cartoons in the 80s were of a much higher standard than what we saw in the 90s, 00s and even today due to the main cartoon genre being Science Fiction. When you see other cartoons like Jace and the Wheelwarriors or Visionaries or even Mysterious Cities of Gold, the actual animated skill levels were far superior and a lot more detailed.
i actually wandered mysef that some time ago and i was looking at some episodes here and well in the credits most supervisors were Japanese i really believe its cause of that whether like it or not tehy know some superiro quality standard for animation And music as well!!!

Impossible to forget such masterpiece. The way he performs the sword´s ritual, it makes me chilling every time I hear the galactic sound when he is bringing the sword to his face. Just like that red ray that goes towards the sword. It brings me so many good memories of that time. I miss those days. Who else tried to imitate that ritual?
Okay so I was born in 2005 and I would watch this all day with my dad and brother. Three maybe four episodes in the morning them outside to play!! Except in winter it was all I would watch. The only shows I would watch until I was 8 was Voltron, Thundercats, He-man, She-ra, and Gem and the Holograms. I still remember all the three songs too 😂
I wish it was too. The 80's and the early 90's had all the good shows. Now they have nothing but stupid shit that make kids dumb as fuck. They used to have a little education lesson at the end on some shows like "The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog" and "The Animaniacs."
For a short period of time, I thought channel HUB (New Name: Disovery Family Channel) had classics because they had about 3 or 4 shows that was in 90's but I was wrong with the other shows was 2014 or 2015.
I'm way too young to have caught this when it was airing, but my parents had the full dvd set for this show. It was practically my childhood before we could afford to get every channel on tv. Even afterwards, I loved it so much, I'd want to rewatch it over and over again.

I'm 43 years old and still have to listen to this a few times a year to keep things nice and moist. THE best intro of any cartoon ever made. There were a lot of decent theme tunes in the 80's and early 90's but this takes the cake. Proper boys cartoon end of, back when you were allowed to have cartoons exclusively for boys or girls.

The way I discovered Thundercats was through the Relient K song: "I'm Lion-O". I started watching the series, shortly after 2021 had started and this definitely has to be one the greatest cartoon series ever created! I was born after the 80's, so I wish that I had known about this cartoon during my childhood. Also, "Thunder, Thunder, Thunder, ThunderCats, Ho!!"

This show depicts so much good!! I’m a 90s baby but I love it!! My nephew fell in love with just the intro of it!! That’s what really caught his attention. Instead of playing a video game he got hooked with Thundercats. Now seeing it now I see how they talk about God and the enemy. In a artistic way. The beginning of times. Good vs evil. About helping people fighting demons everyday. We face that everyday! This generation of kids tv shows don’t have that, don’t have a good meaning anymore, they don’t talk About God. I'm from Gen Z and I absolutely LOVED seeing this show on the channel teletoon Retro, I saw the Flintstones, the Jetsons, Beetlejuice, He-Man, She-Ra, the Looney Tunes! This show would sometimes air on the channel when I was little and while I don't remember any of the episodes, I don't recall changing the channel when it was on. RIP to Teletoon Retro... What I remember most about the cartoons from back then is the music. Thundercats, He-Man, G.I. Joe, and so many others. All had such awesome music.

Okay so I was born in 2005 and I would watch this all day with my dad and brother. Three maybe four episodes in the morning them outside to play!! Except in winter it was all I would watch. The only shows I would watch until I was 8 was Voltron, Thundercats, He-man, She-ra, and Gem and the Holograms. I still remember all the three songs too 😂

I wish it was too. The 80's and the early 90's had all the good shows. Now they have nothing but stupid shit that make kids dumb as fuck. They used to have a little education lesson at the end on some shows like "The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog" and "The Animaniacs."

For a short period of time, I thought channel HUB (New Name: Disovery Family Channel) had classics because they had about 3 or 4 shows that was in 90's but I was wrong with the other shows was 2014 or 2015.
Thundercats, He man, Filmation Ghostbusters. The intros of these cartoons are amazing and composers deserve applause

I'm way too young to have caught this when it was airing, but my parents had the full dvd set for this show. It was practically my childhood before we could afford to get every channel on tv. Even afterwards, I loved it so much, I'd want to rewatch it over and over again.

Such a cool show, one of my all-time favorites!!! Great cast of characters, good voice actors, fabulous animation style, scary villain as in Mumm-Ra "THE EVER LIVING"!!! This theme song was a great intro into the show very catchy!!

THE best intro of any cartoon ever made. There were a lot of decent theme tunes in the 80's and early 90's but this takes the cake.

I was a kid in the 80s. Nothing will ever top cartoons from the 1980s and early/mid-90s. Ever.
The way I discovered Thundercats was through the Relient K song: "I'm Lion-O". I started watching the series, shortly after 2021 had started and this definitely has to be one the greatest cartoon series ever created! I was born after the 80's, so I wish that I had known about this cartoon during my childhood.
Also, "Thunder, Thunder, Thunder, ThunderCats, Ho!!"

This show depicts so much good!! I’m a 90s baby but I love it!! My nephew fell in love with just the intro of it!! That’s what really caught his attention. Instead of playing a video game he got hooked with Thundercats. Now seeing it now I see how they talk about God and the enemy. In a artistic way. The beginning of times. Good vs evil. About helping people fighting demons everyday. We face that everyday! This generation of kids tv shows don’t have that, don’t have a good meaning anymore, they don’t talk About God. I’m glad the creators designed a great show and a great show to inspire children too but only if we show them. 🙏🏽🕊🤍🤍🙏🏽👏🏽✨✨✨✨✨✨🐅🐆THUNDERCATS!!!!!!!!

I'm from Gen Z and I absolutely LOVED seeing this show on the channel teletoon Retro, I saw the Flintstones, the Jetsons, Beetlejuice, He-Man, She-Ra, the Looney Tunes! This show would sometimes air on the channel when I was little and while I don't remember any of the episodes, I don't recall changing the channel when it was on. RIP to Teletoon Retro... Thank you for introducing me to these incredible shows😮💨

Legendary. I grew up with all the classics of 80s cartoons.... Thundercats still has the most kickass theme of any cartoon i can remember.

This was 80s-90s cartoon all the art was made in Japan which is why it’s so epic once the Japanese companies stopped making our cartoons it became a downhill spiral into the crap we have today … thunder cats , Ulysses , transformers , Jason wheeled warriors , centurions, Mask, visionaries we’re all Japanese made .. they were the best EVER .. if your an 80s baby you are more blessed then you know … notice how alpha male all the cartoons were too!!!! turned boys into men!!
