You need some kind of soft plastic on the buzzbait it gives them something to suck in. Even just a piece of senko will drastically help with hookups, but i normally use 2.8/3 inch swimbait or 3/4 of a fluke type bait. Same with the spinnerbait, and you'll hook up with even the super tiny bass.

Need to do some more of the trophy pond swimbait fishing you used to do few years back
I have an idea for a challenge for you and fletcher, ADUB, Tyler, and/or Tara! The anglers have 10 baits(soft plastics, hard plastics, whatever yall like) and each person has to start with the same baits. The timer starts for 20 minutes and whoever catches the first fish gets to stop their opponent and draw the name of a “less than desirable” lure that they have to finish the 20 minutes with. Whoever has the most fish after the 20 minutes is up gets a point. After all of the “good lures” are used up, the scores are tallied. Example: Noah and Fletcher start with a Texas rig with a rage craw. Timer starts and 5 minutes in Noah catches a fish. He turns to fletcher and tells him to pause the timer. Then Noah rummages around in the bucket with the names of the punishment lures and draws the rat lure. After fletcher cries and ties, time resumes and the battle continues. Hope you like it and can’t wait to find out if I see it on here
