    I've been rock climbing since 1980. I still climb strong, 12a/b, at 66 yrs old. Nothing here looks like fun to me. Congrats for enduring and staying alive.

      That's so awesome, and I hope to still be crushing like that at your age! Congrats on the hard work I'm sure it has taken to keep that up. Beautiful that you still have the stoke after 40 years of doing it. Yea, although I love rock climbing and push that at my own level, some of us were dropped on our heads as kids, it screwed our wiring up, and we find the most intense beauty, joy, love, and fulfillment in what others would not dream to be a "fun time." I've lost friends every year to this sport. I'm still here. I wrestle with that every day and try to do them proud and carry their spirits with me in the mountains.

      Thanks so much for the stoke! It's been a long year of work, adventures, and exciting new things. It's kept me away from the editing table, but I'm back at it, so stay tuned. And here's to you sending strong for another 10 years!

    I love his honesty in all his videos. Does not pretend, shows mistakes too and challenges. Amazing climb!

      @@beartoothalpine you yourself climbed without Leash or?

    • @beartoothalpine
      @beartoothalpine  ปีที่แล้ว

      @SWISSPOWERJET I normally do not, only use leashes on bigger alpine routes where if I drop my tool I can't get down or bail from the mountain. If I can get down without my ice tool, I don't use them. I hate how they interfere with my movement

      @@beartoothalpine oh then we have the same attitude.
      In an emergency, I prefer to take a third Icetool with me.
      Which tools do you prefer to climb with?

      Totally! Ive never carried a 3rd tool other than a piton hammer, really just try to kot drop em haha. I've climbed on Nomics for years, but am about to switch over to the X Dreams. They're my favorite that I've used.

    I'm at that age, buy the time I realize I need to crap, got about 10 seconds. Like a space x launch. Penguin walking 🚶‍♀️. Be like having lucifer hanging from a rope.
