No, no I have not, but I am now. Let's see... Goombas are basically mushrooms, and with their headbonk abilities from the Paper Mario series their bodies seem to be firmer than a mushroom. I would guess they taste like a meatier mushroom, but what kind of mushroom? I'm no expert so the only brown mushroom that comes to mind are portabellas. So a Goomba tastes like a meaty portabella. A mushroom steak if you will.
Without bothering to look up if they are based on anything my best guess would be young shittake mushrooms. I bought a bag of dried shittake some time ago that were too young and even after boiling them they had an absurdly hard, wood-like density and were very difficult to chew. So much so I had taken to breaking them up with a mortar and pestle just to use them. Not kidding you could put them in slingshots and go bird hunting with the friggin things.
@@SlitherLament They say they’re probably mostly based on shiitake but also their name has the word for chestnut in it, so maybe they have somewhat of a chestnutty flavor to them…

They changed the level from when it was first released. I actually downloaded the original version. From what I can tell, the old level is harder.

How does it give you a key at the checkpoint after you've already gotten one?
I call offscreen shenanigans. Could be an offscreen block that gets hit releasing a key in process. 🔑
@@DubberRucks But it still wouldn't know if you've actually earned the key yet... I was thinking maybe if it loads under certain ON/OFF switch conditions? No idea.
@@NikkiTaLance I’m pretty sure there’s something that happens offscreen that’s different when you spawn in the room from the checkpoint rather then entering it normally. So really having the other key before death is irrelevant it’s just actually using the checkpoint to come back to rather than to make the other one reusable.
You normally can't die from that checkpoint (without timing out). Thus the only way to respawn at that checkpoint is to get the key, go through the keydoor, and die.
Respawning at that checkpoint triggers some sort of contraption that awards a key.
