Have you been watching what your battery has been doing on Intelligent Flux? Ours discharges for two and a half hours in the peak window, stops for the last half hour, then discharges a bit more later in the evening... it doesn't really cost anything and it doesn't empty the battery, but i am just a bit confused! I'd be interested to know if it's just us or whether this is common... I do love this time of year when the numbers in Octopus Watch are negative though 🙂
It’s now April in Adelaide, South Australia, mid autumn. Days getting shorter. The 6.3kw north facing system on the house generated 717 kwh for the month. The 6.5kw east/west facing system on the shed generated 632 kwh for the month. Total production of both systems for the month is 1.35 mwh.
7.56kWh solar PV split over E/W roof 592.2kWh, Exported 171kWh to the grid, ASHP used 142.21kWh for heat and hot water. EV used 248.25kWh of electricity and travelled 1002 miles. We consumed 968 kWh in total from the grid, 26.1 at Peak rate and 941.9 at Off Peak. I am near to Lincoln, UK
For the ones at the start you can go to the GivEnergy web portal and look for the "reports" option in the menu to the left. I selected the monthly report for this one, which generates that page I showed first. The other charts are all of my own creation, using Google gsheets and a lot of data processing. I did a video about how I process the Octopus data here: th-cam.com/video/5FwjccO2bZc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=cMmGJ86V0xso20zB

I have indeed been watching with interest. I'm planning on doing a "Living with Intelligent Octopus Flux" video soon, so keep your eye out for that.
Also just hit negative on electricity for the first month this year...Hurrah
Nice. Time to build up some credit.

Not bad at all.

I reckon you won't be far off covering all your consumption in May by the sounds of it.
Would you mind sharing how to generate these graphs? I have a giv energy system, and i am unsure how to do it. Thanks
