Much love to Ireland 🇮🇪 from Cymru 🏴 I must say, I knew they were different but I thought Irish and Welsh would be more similar but Gaelic is completely alien to me.
@@Inquisitor_Vex There are a few links even if you do not know how to mind your P & Q connections - once you can see the P/Q link there are nice realisations of familial relationship awaiting you - watch out for ‘gan’ though - almost opposite in meaning. Aimsir/amser and glas are also fun! 🤣 Keep your ‘ears’ open and your ‘nose’ sniffing for cognates! ❤️
Hi from Malaysia. I tried it on Google translate before but the translator does not provide voice for Irish for pronunciation 😁 compared to other languages. Thanks sisters.
I stumbled upon you accidentally a few weeks back, but now I am hooked. Very informative videos and you’re just too funny! This particular one makes my head hurt! 🤦🏻♂️ Keep up the great work!!
Thank you for making these videos! my dad's side of the family is from Donegal and as a New Yorker American I feel the deep need to pick up my heritage, and your videos have helped so much! you really are doing the Lord's work Molly, thanks again for helping keep our culture alive through your channel, and I'm glad to have the honor of learning from you!
Dia dhuit Molly! You exceeded my expectations! I just loved it l! You taught a lot of useful words!Good job! Mhúin tú a lán focal úsáideach!Maith thú! Go raibh maith agat agus slán tamall!
I came across your videos by chance, and have enjoyed them quite a bit. My grandfather's parents emigrated to the USA from Mayo in the 19th Century. Apparently, they were able to speak the Irish language because I remember my grandfather, who died in 1969, knew a few words. Maybe my great-grandparents used Irish when they didn't want their children to know what they were thinking 🤔? In any regard, thanks for doing what you do to keep the language alive.
Dia dhuit Molly! Like always I liked your video a lot ! I must confess that I learned a lot of new words! Great video! Keep it up! Caithfidh me a admháil gur fhoglaim mé a lán focal nua!Físeán iontach! Coimeád sé suas! Go raibh maith agat agus slán go fóill!
Hello, Dia duit, sorry this question is not related to this video, but could you please, please tell me the difference between 'the bottle is in the bag, and 'there is a bottle in the bag'? As far as I can tell the Irish translation is the same for both? Please help me before Duolingo sends me insane 😜😜😜

The Gaelic languages are the other branch of the Celtic language tree to Brythonic languages like Welsh, Cornish, Breton
@@cigh7445 exactly! One would assume that because we share a common language ancestry, we’d have some common root words or something.
