Unless specifically you need M2 or M3, go for M1. I bought M3 MBP as i got it under a good deal and I will get a better resale value. Performance wise mostly nothing will be noticed but at times you might come across slight differences which usually doesnt matter for regular users. Screen notch looks clean to me but it comes down to personal preference. Go for the best deal you do get. If the difference is not beyond 100-150USD, go for M3 else M1.
