      Hard disagree, use my 3000cp gardivors all the time, never once use a single bug type. Bug is garbage for dps and tdo, and there are always better counters. Even having plenty of good dragons and ice, I still find myself occasionally using gardeviors and togekiss

      It's only useful against Raikou more or less.
      You can use Groudon or Landorus against Zekrom if it got Outrage to neutrulize the damage. Though if you are going to use Garchomp you better off using Dragon attacks since Outrage hits harder than Earth Power in non boosted weather. If it's sunny, use Ground since they are boosted by 20%.

    Yoooo Daxiii. ABSOLUTELY LOVED this video. Fantastic job - (1) you went through every typing extremely quickly and efficiently, and it didn’t feel like any part of the video dragged on, (2) you gave the player base some really good insights that only a more seasoned veteran would have picked up on (e.g., the stuff about not powering up bug types, all the insights re: the dragon section, fairies general uselessness, etc. etc), (3) threw some well-times humor in there (“I wouldn’t even be mad if you just kept relobbying up your Mega Charizard Y” LOL) and maybe most impressively (4) you nearly COMPLETELY killed off the “GO AHEAD AND…” except for two early on and four or five toward the end, which made the video a billion times more bearable/watchable. Absolutely smashed it, and a really enjoyable watch. You’re my favorite PoGo TH-camr after this one, mate.

    I really liked how you told something about the usebility of the types. In other videos I watched back then, they just read down the Gamepress list and said nothing about it. So I have 6 Powered Up Useless Sceptiles now.
    But when my Raid Parties got deleted because I reinstalled the game.
    I looked up at Pokebattler the top Counters for every 5* Raid Boss and Came up with 10 Type Teams. I named those teams after the first two letters of the Raid Boss they are effective against and Noticed that my Rock Type Team had the most abbreviations followed by the Fighting, Ghost/Dark and Steel Type Team.
    Also I enjoyed the little Team building section at the end. My phone is now 3 years old and not the fastest anymore. 2 DPS and 4 TDO attackers seems good for me. This means I have to catch one more Rampardos for my Rock Type Team.

  • @Windows7Aero

    Great video! I must point out though, that normal-type pokemon DO have a niche in raids, albeit a small one. Since they double-resist ghost-type moves but can also learn ghost and dark-type moves, certain Pokemon (such as Stoutland with Lick/Crunch) make excellent counters to ghost type raids such as Mega Gengar because they can super-effectively damage it with that moveset.
    But yes, I agree that overall normal-type pokemon aren't ideal for raids.

    I personally don't bother with megas or shadows and have no problem soloing tier 3 raids except umbreon was a bit of a stretch and I wouldn't fvckle with shuckle. And since legendaries are a group effort, good enough is good enough for me. I feel for new players who don't have tier 2 raids to solo and hope they come back.

      The only reason why Shadow Pokémon are usually higher is because of a 20% damage boost you have and I think that beats 15 attack in terms of damage so for dps shadow Pokemon are usually better unless they have frustration which you either have to get an extra move or tm it away in an shadow event

    • @oneonone8855
      @oneonone8855 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are a casual player and don't spend money or much time playing every day. you can use normal Pokemon.
      The most important is to TM away the move "Frustration" and you can only do that curing certain events Niantic puts up. (Keep updated on the blog to know when.)
      a 0/0/0 Shadow is still better than a 15/15/15 purifed so never purify unless it's a defense Pokemon like Shuckle or Wobbafett. Just don't use Aggon, it's bad.
      I don't power up bad IVs, neither if it's shadows. I keep hunting for minimum 12/12/12 as a Shadow. (Only 96%+ for non shadow Pokemon I invest into.)

    Rather than just start powering up some of the top attackers and building teams, I recommend that players look at pokebattler and see what the top ones are in the current or upcoming bosses they wish to fight and work teams up for those first. My favorite is my shiny Mega Altaria...it will help my teammates run thru Palkia . My line up will consist of that along with a shadow Dragonite, a couple regular Dragonites, a Rayquaza and a shiny Dialga.

    For me, TDO tends to be the stat to look at. DPS is great and all, but if the pokemon doesn't last then I'm wasting time in the raid waiting for the next mon to come out. That said, I'll compare DPS to TDO myself to see how they stack up against each other, as 10,000 TDO doesn't mean much if it's still only 100 DPS (exaggeration, no mon has those stats). In my experience, you have to try different pokemon and combinations to find what feels 'best' for you. IMO, best to lead with a tank, especially on any relobby since you could spawn and immediately hit a charge attack on a relobby.

    • @greenmiles9896
      @greenmiles9896 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@madewahyu9665 You Can't get rid of frustration unless there is an event( that allows you to tm it). But another way if you can't wait is unlock the second charge move and use that

    I'm a new player and these Shadow/Mega/Legendary Pokemon are not really accessible.
    Maybe you can do a budget version of this?

    when you building a team for Dialga, you should have two teams, cloudy use full fighting type, and sunny always use ground type instead of shadow machamp and fighting type

  • @341Legos

    Yo Dax once Mega Swampert comes out grass types will be one of the MOST useful raid attackers because it will do double super effective damage and since its part ground electric types will be pretty much useless against it.

    • @oneonone8855
      @oneonone8855 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah. bot not that many does Mega raids since there are other ways of getting Mega energy. But you are right. grass is it's only weakness.

      There is no real limit because even a 0 % shadow machamp will do more damage than a 100 % non-shadow machamp. But of course no one would like to spend stardust in bad iv. So the limit depends on your personal standards.

    Did you forget to mention Smack Down is a legacy move for Tyranitar, or did they change that recently and I didn't notice? I doubt they would have since it's a community day move, so best to get one during the December Redux.

    Daxi I'm kinda struggling, because I normally use my Pokemons for raids and for PvP's, so I will need to compare both for which is the best. I'm thinking will you make a video on like, which pokemon is better for raids but not PvP, and which is better for another one, also which can do best on both with the same moves?
