So nice to hear William’s tribute to Steve Wright. I was a relatively recent listener to his show through BBC Sounds and was so upset when his afternoon show was cancelled. I kept hoping the BBC would bring it back.
Thank you for such an epic episode today. I had to switch from the pod to here to view the flasher cape and then witness the legendary ironing demo. I was on the edge of my seat worrying that Jordan was going to burn a hole in the bespoke shirt when he left the iron sitting there. The tension was palpable. Thank god William took over. William - I see you more as Bailey and Sage than Waitrose or F&M. Jordan def a Lidl/Aldi hybrid, with a hint of Tesco Express. We need to hear more about William’s ‘quality items’ he has on display!
William you make me laugh so much. You look like Sherlock Holmes in that cape! And as for your ironong board..😂 Love you both. Thanks for all the laughs

For people wondering why they didn't mention Jordan's news, they record this a week before it is released so it probably wasn't known about before they recorded this.
The electrical sockets in the USA that are near water (Kitchen or Bathroom) should have surge protection built into the fixture. If they do there will be a little red reset button on the face plate.
I agree with the rest of G and Divas we should had more on the ironing, maybe boring for the studio but this is why we came to TH-cam in masses to see! Please if more there is to be more of William’s demonstrates then make them longer! Also where was his jingle! 😮
On the outlet in the bathroom, they are called GFCI outlets and they disconnect the electricity automatically when a short happens. It’s a security measure to make sure it doesn’t electrocute someone.
I learned ironing my dad’s shirts when I was a kid: yolk-collar-placket-pocket-sleeves-sides… but I never learned I was supposed to iron both sides! Yikes!
I have a couple of shirts that need ironing. As a) they're cheap from target (last minute purchase for a conference in Chicago about 2 months after I moved to LA with no smart clothes brought over from the UK) b) I can't iron and c) would rather do anything else than iron, I can donate to Jordan to practice with using William's ironing contraption. If they get ruined, I don't really care

Hate Gin, and as I was given Gin (several bottles for Christmas) I decided to purchase Dubonnet to try "The Queen Mother"........loathed it with a passion. I'll stick to Fino and Whiskey (Irish) and the occasional V&T.
Very funny ironing segment, though I was getting anxious about how long Jordan was keeping that iron on the shirt while he was talking. Probably deliberately winding up William. I rather suspect there were some hilarious outtakes judging by the look of boredom induced mischief on Mr North’s face…
This was an excellent show!!! Glad you mentioned the fake plant, saves me some time. ;) William, great insight about Leap Year, but it was Pope Gregory XIII who set the calendar to correct the Leap Years that we observe today, thus the Gregorian calendar that we use today. The pope did this as Easter was getting pushed back with each year. You can go to the Papal Observatory in the Vatican and see the very room where that the calendar was corrected. While you're there, you can get some fabulous Italian food, too. And... could you do a whole ironing segment? I was, like Jordan, impressed by your ironing board experience as opposed to one's dining experience. Also love CVS and Walgreens here in the US. Thanks for such a great episode. I’ve had banana ketchup, it tastes the same as tomato ketchup, sugar and vinegar and very mild chilli powder so it looks red, it was made coz tomatoes were scarce in the Philippines during ww2
Jordan, please try Sinutab over Sudafed, they work a lot better. Just don't take'em with a Lemsip as they've both got paracetamol in them, so they would give your kidneys a slap
@@karenchadwick5853 Not all varieties of Sudafed have paracetamol / acetaminophen. The issue with Lemsip is that it contains phenylephrine hydrochloride a decongestant that shouden't be combined with pseudoephedrine.
My ex used to iron the collars on my polo shirts in one go, it fucked them up! I kept telling her to do it Wills way, but no, she knew best apparently, and I was walking around looking like a right plonker
