    Background
    The "Billboard Effect" became known in 2009 through a study by Chris Anderson, Ph.D., from Cornell University in the USA.
    The original study was called "The Billboard Effect: Online Travel Agent Impact on Non-OTA Reservation Volume" and can be read on the homepage of Cornell University (School of Hotel Administration).
