  • When the playoffs come around, a team's weaknesses are magnified. That sure was proven in the Cowboys' loss to the Packers. So what happens now? Should they look at getting a new head coach? How about a new quarterback? Is that even possible? Doe a culture change need to happen (again)? Is there anything that can be done to end this extended run of postseason failures? Time to talk about questions that may not have any good answers. | Presented by ‪@wingstop‬

    • @jeromemallory9434
      @jeromemallory9434 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      He can learn all he wants. Under pressure it all goes out the window and he "thinks" he is making the right play only to be baited by the defense.

    • @patrickleblanc613
      @patrickleblanc613 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Its not exactly the pressure dak struggles with. Its more so a type of coverage, a philosophy. Dak is actually one of the if not the best qbs at dealing with pressure, especially blitz pressure. But context is important here. The problem that dak has with pressure is when the defense is able to pressure with just the base down lineman, with the front 4. Dak is far better when the opponent commits more personel to rushing the passer, not less, because that means less defenders in coverage. Thats why dak has problems with his reads in those situations. This is why we need a good run game and a healthy and physically dominant oline to help. We became one dimensional, dak or bust, on either side of the ball, because dak ( and cd) were our only real defense against the opponents own rungame because our defense only knows how to rush the passer, and then what happens if we cant get home? Well you get that first round exit and a trip to the couch.

  • @jbondmont1256
    @jbondmont1256 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    The issue with this team is that the team is one dimensional on both sides of the ball, they can't run and can't stop the run. The coaches have been masking and working around this for years and the packers knew this. If you are going to build a championship caliber team then get what you need to compete. Stop bargain shopping for players!!

      @@BrianWaller-qe7gr lets talk about 'prime' zeke and postseason. In 6 postseason games 'prime zeke' had a grand total of 2 tds and averaged 2 yards a carry in 4 of those postseason games. That's a running game? Dak had double the rushing tds that zeke had in same amount of games. Freakn prime zeke was history after beating seahawks in playoffs so many years ago. Dallas is 1-4 since then because they are a 1 dimensional offense. No running game.

    How did the Lions get Goff? How did the Rams get Matthew Stafford? How did the Eagles get Hurts, How did the 49ers get, Brock Purdy,, Green Bay, Love; Jets Got Aaron Rogers? The answer is more simple than you think. I could go on and on. You are stuck on Dak, just like Jerry was stuck on Garrett. The contract has an end date. Jerry just doesn't have the guts to get a new QB. "You are what your record says you are". Dak is a decent product during the regular season but he "panicks" in the playoffs or, better yet, when he faces a competitive team. His record speaks for itself. He is not the answer. The coach is not the problem. Players play the game. This is not Madden Football. The coach doesn't have joysticks on these players.

    The salary cap started in 1994 and the team hasn't found that much success since 1996. The game is played so differently now I think we would benefit from a younger HC and a different GM

    Offer Parsons, Lamb, 2024 1st to Chicago for the number one pick.
    Draft Caleb.
    Offer Dak to the Raiders, Commanders, TB, Miami, Vikings, Patriots, Broncos, Colts for two second Rd picks. Take the cap hit this year for Dak.

    Belichick, Harbaugh, and Vrabel are all out there.
    McCarthy should be gone. Not because he's bad, or because Jerry's angry, but because there are better options out there.
    The Cowboys need a vision, desperately.

    Only thing that needs 100% change is the GM! He's the 1 constant in all this.
    I would like to see some tweaks to Mccarthy's offense. Seems more like a shorter, quicker version of what Kellen was running here.
    I'd like to see more scheming guys open like Det, SF, Mia and GB do to name a few. Imo, Mccarthy is putting a lot more pressure on Dak in later down because the run and WR screens and such have not been successful that much.
    But the GM has to change along with the glitz and Hollywood glam BS!
    Until that happens, I think we'll be stuck at current level we're at.

    I noticed that all four Cowboy podcasts did their best to steer the fans away from firing Mike McCarthy. Really? All four podcasts personnel agreed that this is the path to follow? You can’t get any 2 people to agree what day of the week it is. That’s means all four groups got marching orders from headquarters. So McCarthy stays. And there will be a new offensive coordinator- that’s the wrist slap for him.
    Dan Q is leaving for another team. BTW: we lost our best MTM cover corner early on which destroyed the defensive scheme of the last 2 years playing man and press. Then Stephon Gilmore tore his labrum against Washington which meant he couldn’t play press coverage. So all Dan Q could do is play zone which the team was not accustomed to playing all year long. And with LVE out there was no real linebacker to stop the run. What did you expect DanQ to do with that remaining collection of players? His options were very limited.

    Build an identity, draft the players that fit that identity, grab free agents that fit that identity, and then have the team prepared for big games. If the team has to start over to make thar happen, then it is what it is.

    Next season, I don’t care we are 17-0, Dak 10,000 yards, 500 TD, if we don’t win in the playoffs it’s doesn’t matter, so no fan should be happy until we win in the playoffs

    Fellas all they have to do is strengthen and fix the O line especially the Center position and draft or sign a real lead RB, big bruising RB to get a dominating run game to give Dak help. He’s not a QB that can win games by himself he needs that dominant running game to take All the pressure off of him. He’s a manager type of QB not like a Mahomes type
