I have the same bike (the 500x version) for the past 3 years and 50.000km. I agree with you on pretty much everything (especially the front brake which on low speeds is not good). The finish isn't amazing (not terrible either) and the plastics vibrate a bit at 4000rpm. But i can say that after all this time the durability of everything is perfect. The motorcycle hasn't left me stranded ever, even after minor falls. Everything works fine. The feeling isn't premium, but it works and it gives me the impression that it will continue to work like this for another 10 years. I spent 6000 euros and i believe that i bought the best bike for my use case and the money...i hope that the 525x version comes to my country (Greece), so that i can upgrade to it, in a few years.
Hey man - another great review, but the crash at the end had me worried. Looked liked an ice patch - you had a great reaction checking your girl first and keeping her calm. I always gear up and make my girlfriend wear it too (she’s not a big fan…) good helmets made a difference for sure! Winter can be treacherous , glad you’re both fine, just a little skin scrape. Continue to ride safely and I’m looking forward to the MT review! (Also QJ has a brand new 600 SRTX adv!)
Appreciate it man! Yes it was a patch of ice) gear is important, my girlfriend doesn’t like it too, but we learned the hard way 😂 The bike has 0 damage, in the end of the day it’s quite durable, even though felt cheap to me. Recently I rode another500cc adv bike from QJmotor, so reviews are coming, and I’ve seen the bike you wrote about! It looks nice, can’t wait to ride it as well🤜🤛
Hope you’re both ok . I’ve never had an off with a pillion in almost 40 yrs of riding . But it’s my biggest fear for sure - touch wood . Again hope once the adrenaline settled you were both not too hurt
Highly appreciate it! Yes it’s one of the scariest things for any rider, this was a minor accident, we laughed after, overall it was useful experience, now I approach bridges with caution, never know where a nasty patch of slippery ice is waiting for you) Hope you won’t repeat my mistake 🤜🤛
Had a similar crash this winter - learned my lesson. Gotta keep that throttle open once on ice, it keeps the bike steady, the moment you close it, the bike starts sliding. How about Kove 800x? That one is even lighter and even more powerful. Gathers a lot of hype around it
Yeah, this is the lesson I don’t want to forget nor repeat I can’t wait to find 800x for a review, It must be crazy, this 525x felt quite rapid and wanted to wheelie, can’t imagine what lighter and much more powerful 800x will do! It’s my top priority, but somehow no one rent it out. Will do my best to get a hold of it for a review 🤜🤛
@@eddywave3315 The engine is the same as on 800MT, you should be familiar with it. The bike itself weighs a lot less though, feels more like a dualsport
@@danb6497 I rode mt800, and I loved it! Great bike, want to get one for myself. When I rode with a passenger it was doing wheelies like crazy! This is why I am very curious about Kove800x it’s 50 kg difference. So did you ride it? If yes how was it?
@@eddywave3315 I did ride it and it felt unhinged and psychotic after my 650mt. Indeed it was trying to wheelie at any possible occasion. Felt quite light as well, could only try on the road though
glad you're ok. good thing you weren't going fast. bridges are treacherous. sun didn't shine there so there was still ice. they should put salt there to dry it.
Thanks) I knew that thing about the bridges in theory, now I know it in practice 😂 I wonder why they didn’t apply some sort of a solution to deal with the ice, but it is what it is)
Hope you're well. This bike is excellent, at least the one sold in Europe. Excellent suspensios...can go anywhere! I own the 500, this Motorcycle is designed for smaller riders. With about the same height as you, I had to raise the handlebar and the seat, to feel comfortable 😉 *Nope frame is not aluminium
Appreciate your concern, we’re all well!Recently I rode another small displacement adventure bike from QJmoto (the video is coming soon). And that bike has a whole bunch of vibrations as well, brakes were better, but the fun factor, power and maneuverability wasn’t as good Kove 525x was fun to ride, but it had some problems for sure, (it had over 26000on it) I want to test ride a newer one which comes with brembo brakes! Thank you for clarifying the frame thing! I got quite confused about it. How do you find the brakes on your bike btw?
@@eddywave3315 brakes are good and are stopping the bike on time. They're lacking initial bite, I think that's on purpose, this bike also ment to be for beginners. Maybe you could try more aggressive brake pads or another brake pump..
Good video. You need to get used to the motorcycle. I've hit the brakes in emergency at 150km/hr and stopped just in time. Have been to virtually every terrain and this motorcycle handles flawlessly.
Thank you! You’re right, I need to get used to it, in the end of the day I liked it more than in the beginning 😂 This wasn’t a new bike, maybe it’s been through a lot. If this was my bike I would’ve changed the brake pads, coz in my case brakes weren’t that good. I want to get a new one for a test ride to see whether it’s better
@@eddywave3315 okay looking forward to that. There is a dude who is planning to launch Kove motorcycles here in Pakistan next month. So will be amazing to know more about these machines more.
I loved LFC700, but I heard that reliability might be an issue, many rent out business owners told me they don’t buy Benda coz they don’t trust the quality of the build, and I’ve seen some problematic Benda, but never lfc700, coz people don’t ride them a lot, it’s a bike for a weekend for most guys so they don’t have many km on them. With that being said I loved it, and if you want to get one go for it!
Tried it. It rides like it's on rails: can only go forward. Thanks to that giant rear wheel. Low handlebars make sitting position pretty uncomfortable, but those can be changed. The bike is ok if you're a slow law-abiding rider and don't ride a lot. If you're planning to go faster than 80 - bad choice, can't avoid anything that gets in your way. Rdiding outside of the city can also be difficult: it's not the most comfortable bike
Hey buddy, today I went to the store to see this bike. For the price it costs in China seems fine, but still I won't hesitate to add some extra money for QJ or CF... How do you feel its build quality? Shifter seems tiny to me, and easy to break...
Well it didn’t feel well built, but I fell on it and it was quite resilient! The newer version is better I heard! I think if you look for the best quality mt450 is definitely worth considering!
Thumb up+1. But no real proof to the criticism - just feels like, feels cheap, may be, may be not, etc. the rest is cool. Not clear why it felt. My guess is because of combination - water+sharp turn+passenger. Tks!
I just took it for a spin, the only thing I can do is share my opinion, and some numbers like acceleration and specs. We fell coz of the ice patch on the asphalt
The dude could easily take another lane, but he took a variant of full brake using on the wet surface with a passenger!!! "Smart" decision 😜 😜 😜 😅 Before making a review get some more driving experience!)))
