That little cover flap on the Skullcandy charging pod is useful keeping metal chards and little pieces of debris out of the charging port. Very useful when working with stuff, like cutting, filing, grinding, because these get everywhere, including pockets.
BTW, very decent REVIEW, and not just specs vomit or unboxing masquerading as such. REALLY appreciate the call quality in traffic noise test. 👍

Great comparison, I wish there were more ear hook ear buds to choose from. I went with the X10. Your right they are great for mixed use. They work great for lifting and jogging, but get loose and fall out when I jump rope.

Some feedback why I liked your vid: your show and tell combo of the use and control did it for me.
You actually show how the tapping works (phone next to earbuds) and show how the tapping can be altered and what options you have (easy for me to pause the vid and have a good look 👍). The sound quality is something you can find all over the internet and will be experienced different by everybody. Specs (and product specials) can be found online also, (but are good to hear side by side). But the real day to day controls... Try to guess that from a internet search... That's what makes or breaks a product for me. That's exactly what you showed as good as possible.
I also liked it a lot that you made an effort for real use with all of them. Your search for differences and comparable specs, CHAPEAU!

Great review that does well in covering the pros\cons for each device. I understand your concerns about the x10s. The hooks are not as robust as the others but I like them. The rotating hooks make the buds and case small. I only use them in 2 hour spurts so the battery life is okay. I think touch controls are annoying when you are active. I think noise cancelling is less important than transpency when you're outside. Appreciate what you do.

Currently using an older Jlab air sport, the batter life isn’t what it used to be. I get about 2 hours before they say “low battery” in seeming random 2-10 second intervals rendering them completely useless for their final 15 min of battery. Its horrible. I hate them. Hopefully the newer ones don’t do that 😂

Again, another excellent video! I love these kind of comparisons. I don't remember if you had chance to try the Soundcore Anker Spirit X2, but I'd like to know your opinion if they are better than the Sport X10. For only having IP68 certification and 9+36 hours of battery life, they still seem pretty atractive to me.

I really like anker products and have had a pair of spirit x2 and recently bought the x10. I can say I firmly like the x2 better than the x10 and am actually really disappointed that they discontinued the x2 for the x10. The x10 does fit fine in my ear and sounds very good but the ear hooks are small and flimsy and the one button on each bud is in an awkward position compared to the 2 buttons on each of the x2 that are in a perfect position imo. The only reason I had to replace the x2 was because they finally succumbed to years of sweat from treadmill running. I really really hope anker moves back in the direction of the x2 design. As I mentioned I bought the x10 but am disappointed in the changes they made and am seriously considering looking for a different option

25 minute review video! Professional and detailed! These sports earbuds are all good, but they are in-ear type and may not be very suitable for outdoor activities. Open-ear headphones should be selected for outdoor sports. For example, the Wissony Hi Runner Bone conduction headphone I am using is very practical and powerful. It is suitable for running, cycling, hiking, swimming and other scenes.

Hi Andy, very poor experience of sports X10. The button of one side went away during run, battery went to 70 minutes in 3 months, when I asked for aftersales, they said go to the vendor of the country you bought from, only thats the way to get the claim so it also failed the international coverage for claims. I wish I could get move buds H1 but the only available local option is jlab epic air and jlab jbuds air. Trying to figure out among these 2 to buy.

which of jlabs or tribits has the strongest transparency mode? Which of them sits most comfortably on the ears? I was thinking of wearing earbuds at work and must be able to hear around me and be able to wear them for a long time when I work and listen to pods, never listen to music. I am grateful if you can answer the questions as well as you can so that it will be easier for me to order, possibly JBL is also a candidate if you can compare it with what you remember from the test. I spent the last 30 minutes out my workout trying to disable the sensor with no answer guess who taking these back tomorrow... because I can not move my head without these thing going crazy like I am pussing the button.. so... their my honest review other then that it's nice fit on ear and it sound good.. but I can't workout with out these things beeping at me like am pressing the button..so it's a no go if you actually sweat..

Here's my review of the x 10's. I wear them every day at work. They sound great to me, but I would not call myself an audiophile. They feel secure in my ears but thats different for everyone. The battery life is noticably short for me, but remember I wear them everyday. If you use eartips on the larger side tou need to make sure your earbuds are truly charging when the case is shut. In my experience my foam eartips were pushing up the earbud causing an unsecure charge. Overall they are wonderful earbuds if you are using leas than 7 hours a day, but im here finding more for longer battery life. I used this very video to buy my x 10's and the suggestion was so awesome that im back to find another pair. Hope this helps someone.

I filed for a warranty and sent my buds in. They sent me a redemption code for a new set but the code was invalid at checkout. That was 8 months ago. I still can't get a response after numerous attempts to get a valid redemption code. I have all my papers and screenshots to prove it.

I have the tribits. I love them. They are excellent earbuds. However, the ear hook has snapped off before. I was able to glue it back on. I had one that the left side would die before the right side. I emailed customer service and they mailed me a new pair that I received in 3 days. If you are on the fence on which to buy then definitely pull the trigger on these. So much battery life and amazing sound quality that is good with any music type or frequency. Only a slight lag while watching videos. For gaming I don't think these would be the ones you would want, but anything else they are perfect. I weld 10 hours a day and these last all day. The transparency mode also helps me to hear things going on around me without losing my music.

I did have the JBL Endurance Peak 2 prior before the 3 ... and I dont know why they changed the touch control & the case :( They did have touch-gestrures (e.g. up/down swipe for sound etc.) and a case with a proper lock-button ...
The better IP-Rating and longevity is a plus, but i preferred my old Version 2s ...

Thank you Andy for this comparison nice job. I've got the Reflect Minis and the Live Pro2's and I love the sound quality and build as well. But the controls are frustrating and I don't understand why? They're not the only name brand company that does this either. I hope you have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year and thanks again. 👍💯🇺🇸

Just purchased 2nd Jlab, and bass is superior with the correct ear tips, and EQ adjustment. Though , phone calls could afford firmware update for some improvement. Be aware feature is flawless and fantastic, ANC is so so. They are already super durable as I work on an industrial environment. TIPS MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE! I PROMISE!! Great review of all products! Love your reviews 👍

I have and use both the jlab and skull candy earbuds. Anyone who just needs rugged headphones for when they're out the ENTIRE day, get the jlab. Easy in the pocket, seamless transitioning to and from them and between buds, and I cannot stress how useful the USB plug is. Sound quality really isn't bad, it might not be the best but they're very clear and I can enjoy music in extremely loud environments. ANC was cool for those noisy places too, but it eventually broke and I've never used it since, tbh not all that useful. My gripes, which aren't major, are that the case isn't the most durable and after a few drops I have fear it could break if I accidentally yeet it. Earbuds also turn off after a good fall, which is pretty annoying. Another thing is that after putting in after market tips the buds sometimes don't turn off in the case, or turn on in the case which I shoulda seen coming, but still annoying. Finally, the touch controls don't turn off outside your ears. In other words, DO NOT place them tip up. I imagine that's a problem with most touch earbuds, but these are the only ones I've had and I notice it here, though you learn real quick.
Now the Skullcandy. I only use them because I have them, and it's just a pair for when I'm at the PC moving around. Just putting them on you get like 3 seconds of that power on voice that mutes all audio but doesn't pause, so if you go from speaker to earbud watching something, pause it. One to two buds isn't bad, but similar thing where there's a ding that interrupts your listening, not nearly as bad as turning it on but annoying still. They also really feel bad, plus genuinely didn't stay in my ear and normally just hung at my ear holes. Not as easy to just throw in. I don't mind the buttons though, not any issue there. Sound quality is also definitely the worst if you don't just want bass. You can definitely watch videos with them, but they're very mid tier clarity. I also personally don't like the case because it feels excessively long and big, taking up more space in my pocket than I'd like. Finally, the cover is low key annoying, but I guess has it's perks.
Tldr: epic ANC is awesome for extremely busy people who just need something reliable

      Update after receiving the tribit:
The sound of these is leagues better than either other option. Case feels way better, and while I don't plan on dropping it, I bet it'll be fine. Probably not very comfortable to lay on these headphones (which is no surprise, they're not meant for that), but they perfectly fit in my ears and are snug. Overall definitely a good buy, and will be replacing my jlabs in most day to day use. Would recommend

I think it's past due for another one of these with the latest offerings. My fave right now is the Soundcore Sport X20, having upgraded from the X10. Even though you can no longer fold in the earhooks, I find them to be easier to put on and put back into the case, since the hooks are sturdier. The button also seems easier to access & press, for yet another ergonomics improvement. Sound-wise, I can't say that I notice a gigantic difference, and I don't even bother using ANC nor ambient mode while I wear them for jogging & shooting hoops, but overall they seem to be a noticeable step up for me.

Great review, best I’ve seen for all of these. I bought the Tribit’s, they are exactly as you say, really good. However one of the charging pins on the right side of the base has decided to give up suddenly so the left earphone is permanently dead. A pity as they are really good but frankly a waste of money about a year after purchasing.

Bought the Skullcandy and must say, that nothing I can set up, neither in Apple's Music App, nor in the SkullCandy gives me anything close to decent bass. And I mean they suck big time. No depth, no darkness. Cellos and string bass sound like gutless violas. Pink's band sound like they exchanged the E-Bass for a Tromba-Marina. I have no idea how you got your Skull candy to win a bass contest, but honestly, no bass to speak of. Certainly not compared to my SoundMAGIC E11, nor with my AKG K371.

If you do outdoor sports I would suggest the Endurance Peak 3 to everyone. Skullcandy may be an option but putting an actual skull on the outside is a big nono for me because its so ugly.
Problem with touch controls in general is that they are hard to use when actually moving (like running) because you dont have any physical feedback of where what button/control is compared to physical buttons, like try to accurately control your buds while youre actually running, good luck. Another downside is that if its raining outside/your sweeting and you maybe have a hood on those things will trigger the touch controls. I am currently using the Endurance Peak 2 and it really sucks when its raining outside and you have a hood on that it triggers the controls all the time. It will play/pause start/stop and skip songs which is very very annoying and this causes me to just go without headphones in those conditions completely which immediately disqualifies them as sport headphones. From the pictures most of the companies provide you can already assume that its targeted more towards feelgood sports. Not actual dirty sweaty stuff. Gym is the least demanding type of sport you can test your headphones in.
I will now buy the Endurance Peak 3 because from the Peak 2 I already know what im getting + I can disable the touch controls in the app.
