- In defending Islam against the Zendiq's and Dahlia, the Mu'tazila thinkers developed the concept of Tawheed in such a way as to refute the anthropomorphic conception of God. Tawheed meant that God was indivisible and hence not made up of matter or body.

Fantastic breakdown of the ideologies, their roots and the counter arguments of that time of history, Every part of which needs to be understood and internalised by all Muslims.
It’s extremely powerful and uplifting to know how the ideas of duality and trinitarianism were confronted at the time by the rational minded mutazilites.
Intellect is our only instrument by which we can decipher between real and unreal. If this instrument is not used, then you get a belief which is purely that, just a personal belief, which cannot be challenged intellectually. Then, you’re free to believe in anything you like. The beauty of rational mind is that it gives you comprehendable and digestible answers, even to the question that may not be entirely within the realm of our limited intellect.
Thank you brother for this great introduction to the concept of Tauhid based on the Mu'tazili doctrines. We shall surely hear further from you about how the Mu'tazilis lost to Ashari and Ibn Hanbal's attack on them. They and subsequently Ibn Tammiyah and Abdul Wahhab changed this concept to one which basically anthropomorphic. This has been imposed on the Sunni Ummah by the Saudis. We Muslims are in a state of Jahilyah now.

it is really really a great work and historical and philosophic perspective to better understand the crux of slam. Unfortunately to day it is a missing link due to forced abandonment of argument by the Mullah of the time.

Great way to explain
Bilkul sahi kiya. Ab hum ko phir ullama sey philosophy padne ka mauka Mila hai. Mautazila ideology kitni dangerous hai aur ya philosophy kitne gayi guzri hai ya jinab wohi gayi guzri philosophy padane baeitha hai.
Tere is kaam sey Islam ko hi fayda hai.
Allah ko aankh sey nhi dil sey dekha ja sakta hai.... it means dil ki bhi aamkhain hoti hain.... ab woh dhondna hamara kaam hai.

As Quran says..... Ayatul Kursi..... Allah is Nur of heavens and earth.....so Allah is not limited... He is above and within every thing...everything is within Allah and Allah is everything ( from esoteric perspective)
I don't think that everything is within God because if it is, then everything constitutes the God (i.e. everything is part of God)- that is against the mu'tazili rule.

Wonderful, your presentation is awesome, but I think you missed the major reason of motazila school of thought is not debates in Muslims, infact they borrowed it from Eastern orthodox Christianity, and ancient Greek philosophy.

Wonderful sir it is ok that you are explaining Motazillah philosophy but I am more interested in history of Motazillah that when it actually orignated or started although you have given history of pre motazillah period it will be more good if you also give history of motazillah how it affected society when it reached at peak and how it diminish and by the way how such strong philosophy diminishes

But as o had commented before - can you please agree that your assessment is based off of English translations by non- Muslim orientalists in general. This distinction and clarification is essential and ensures intellectual honesty. I have seen how incredibly different a subject can be when approached by a discerning Muslim vs non Muslim
