    00:00:34 wtf? my Google Nest Hub G2 looks nothing like that. How do I enable this?

    I still don't have the app launcher here in the UK (multiple Nest Hub maxs and various gen 1 and gen 2 hubs too) even though north America seemed to have got it many months ago. I want to know what I'm doing wrong! .... the preview programme setting didn't help unfortunately. hopefully we'll get these changes

    For Gboard, I miss the “G” search key that has been replaced with the now useless left or right arrow, and now that they centered the keyboard for tablets and foldable phones it would be nice to see an option for keyboard width like we have for height because I’d love if they keys stretch to both screen edges

      @@AutomateYourLife I got google nest hub as a gift and I'm not sure how to use this. I don't have any smart light or smart door bell in my home. I tried to play youtube videos. I tried playing music and it started playing something randomly from youtube music recommendations. Again I'm not able to search any albums. Regarding sensors showing states in the new app: I don't see any new sensor states. In the footage the sensor state that is shown seems to come from a thermostat. I've been able to view my thermostats current temperature (not just the set temperature) even before this update - I guess what you mean is that this current temperature is shown on the home view instead of only on the devices' screen within the app, or are any other sensors beginning to show their states that I've missed?

    • @AutomateYourLife
      @AutomateYourLife  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I like the Google updates, Brian. I also heard that the Weather Frog will be hopping on other Google Home devices.

      Yeah! The ole Frog will show up on all Assistant devices soon...but it always flashes when it switches to the Frog so I'm kinda annoyed with that.

      I have an Echo 4th gen and I haven’t ran into any issue, Alexa responds pretty fast, clean and as I’m a person with vissual disabilities, the important thing is that every time I ask Alexa for information about a topic, after giving me the initial response I tell her to give me more information she continues to read me all the article. Google Assistant can’t do this and I’ve tried different commands, tried it even on my Sonos Roam smart speaker too, no difference; You ask her a question about a topic, for example What can cause a throat infection? She only gives you a very brief spoken response from the WEB, and won’t read more even if I tell her to do so.
      I don’t want to criticize Google Assistant but this is how it worked for me, unfortunately. Alexa is much better talking about spoken responses, conversational gameplay experience thanks to the skills and the voice sounds more natural

Adding google into my home this year I found the same commands worked. But now if I don't include the word "percent", google sets my lights to Kelvin. Is there a setting somewhere for this?
