    You must make official complaints to the police, the port and the local council. As well as informing the press about these plods making up the law and making threats of arrest illegally.

    Typical of an arrogant Plod. No introduction, mis identification, no hat, chewing gum (which his mouth open, like a child).
    He couldn’t handle real policing so his superiors left him
    Here.
    PS. Interesting at the instant aggression. Compare that with “Stop Oil”… where they’re left alone and brought drinks.

    I work for a cleaning contractor on the site. They are trying (unsuccessfully) to get the cleaners to take pictures of their work.

    The guys he mentioned that check out speeding rules and regulations are doing a public service and if people are being fined for contravening certain rules, then they need to make sure that all the rules are clear and measured distances are accurate .
    Get those right , and there is no issue they are bang to rights to be fined. Interesting that the police want rules bent in their favour to prosecute without checking themselves that
    Everything is in order for them to prosecute .

      Exactly, there should be signs on the entry to the port and it should be clearly marked, which you’d imagine would be by a fence or gate, like at Portbury and Avonmouth

    Well handled interaction. I got the impression the constables - both of which appeared arrogant (especially the one chewing gum) - were ignoring TGA and focused on AY. They were both keen on their tiny patch and certainly seemed loyal to "Peel Ports". They made themselves look a bit clueless on modern day laws but seemed more interested in some Victorian bye-laws. Not a good look for them but audit gold - fantastic work.

    It's a bit hard to tell exactly where you were in relation to the Dock Estate boundary line. Bye Law 38 (a) only applies within the Dock''s Estate otherwise that smarmy copper should be told to Foxtrot Oscar!

    • @TheSadButMadLad
      @TheSadButMadLad 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it meant to include aerial photos then Google would be in the dock. Since Google have published images of the port on GoogleEarth then it's proof that 38(a) only applies to people actually on site. Though I note that the bylaw doesn't ban the making of notes about what someone sees. 😀😀

  • @nevillemason6791
    @nevillemason6791 ปีที่แล้ว

    "You're not allowed to fill-um." (between chewing gum). He totally ignores the fact most trucks entering the port have dashcam systems with multiple cameras recording in HD. Peel Ports have no control over this data which will comprehensively record details inside the port. What a joke harassing two individuals outside the port because it's an easy option and he hasn't got anything better to do.

  • @TheSadButMadLad
    @TheSadButMadLad 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Port police are separate from the rest of the UK police. They have limited powers and are limited to the immediate surroundings of the port only when necessary. At all other times they must hand over to the proper police. Because they aren't proper police and don't have much to do, it tends to get the dregs of the real police. In other words, the only ones who work for the port police are those who have been fired for whatever but not something serious enough that they've been put on the barring list. Port police are way below even the transport police.

    If there was a geofence around the port then the drone would refuse to fly over.
    Isn't that how it works ?
    I'm pretty sure that's how it works.

    They DO ‘own’ the airspace ( up to a certain height ) , but they do not CONTROL the airspace that they own .
    In the same way you can OWN a piece of land , but if it is a Right of Way , the owner does not CONTROL access .

    • @TheSadButMadLad
      @TheSadButMadLad 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The certain height being a reasonable height above people so that the flying thing doesn't interfere with their activities. So on the ground it could be something like 20m up. But if someone is in a cherry picker, then it not 20m above the ground but above the person but probably a little further away than 20m so that it's not distracting them and affecting their safety.

    • @TheGwentAuditorTGA
      @TheGwentAuditorTGA  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There was a court case which ruled that a land owner cannot own airspace
