We’re getting closer to my dream 21.5” 4K monitor.

We have the same dreams :) Although I slowly switch to 24". Did you find anything interesting recently ? 4K 22-24" ?

I'm thinking about using this as a travel tv for RV camping or for watching tv/movies in the back patio (not leaving outside of course). If I use a Roku stick, any reason this wouldn't work as an ad-hoc "TV"?

Uperfect actually makes a 144hz 18-inch for gaming. I assume this one is aimed more at productivity

Agreed, this one is not aimed at gaming

So I'm not in the market for this monitor but had to leave a comment for the algo bc you were honest about the response rate. Other reviewers have said it will work just fine and you can see the motion blur in their gameplay 😏 Grazie! 🙏

does it actually look like it's 100% sRGB? I bought another monitor from Uperfect, they claimed that its 100% sRGB, but I got other monitros to compare, looks more like 45% NTSC

60Hz is from previous era. I don't feel good working on it (my first CRT had 85Hz) and I simply "feel" the flickering not all of you might notice. My Asus 22" FHD offers 75Hz and that's a huge difference from 60Hz. Uperfect does good monitors, but...not so good - refresh rate, tearing when scrolling text. I own one 4k 15.6" from uperfect and I am also disappointed.

You write strange things. It’s amazing how it is that I work all day long on a professional benq for $1500 with a frequency of 60Hz and don’t feel the slightest discomfort? Maybe because LCD monitors don't flicker? And high frequencies are only needed in games.

The move from 75 hz to 60 won't make a significant diff in either screen flickering or tearing. Maybe your eyes are more sensitive to that. And outside of gaming, there's no significant advantages to higher refresh rates bc almost all media available for consumption maxes out at 60 fps so its foolish to call 60hz from a previous era. If you disagree, you're drinking the big manufacturers kool-aid. They're happy making more money selling 75hz-144hz TVs and monitors to consumers who do nothing but watch 24fps (cinema) to 60fps (sports) content all day. But sure the going through the menus looks smoother 😅

honestly it's almost 2025 why are they even releasing any new monitor with less than 120hz? That should be the new baseline not 60hz

60hz is absurd, this would have been the perfect monitor if it was 100hz+. 22'' is the perfect dimensions to fit into a carry on suitcase while flying

Your comment is absurd -- this isn't a gaming monitor and even gaming-focused companies like ASUS can't make a portable IPS monitor with those specs yet, as panels of this size aren't anywhere near efficient enough. The closest monitor ASUS make comparable to this (MB249C) is almost 3x the price, 24 inches and running a horrible 60Hz/1080p res whilst consuming up to 60W, so this monitor is a steal in comparison to that abomination. This is a portable productivity monitor. There are much better portable Samsung OLED or QLED monitors at up to 15"/16" to choose from for content consumption and gaming that use less than half the power and they're not getting to 120Hz refresh rates anytime soon for less than $800 (which would make it way too niche).
