To use the side door in the headache rack you could cut the bed that is hindering the opening of the box and either make it quick release with a body clip or hinge it to either swing up or outwards to give access for when you need to access the compartment, so you are not going to get the slideback mechanism that has been produced for this truck, unfortunately I can not remember the manufacturer to quote them. This is turning into a nice useable truck as I looked at it as another Traxxas 6x6 gimmick vehicle.
