I love how much warmth and empathy Sol has for Osha without feeling un-Jedi like. It will be interesting to see the mystery unfolding and how it changes the way we view him.
i'm still amazed that the actor learned english for the role. and can even handle subtle uses of the language like in the "who is he" exchange in the apothecary
@@ahmorganwell the Force apparition of her sister led her to a shortcut after all…I sense a another dyad like we had with Rey-Kylo where the Force is trying to bring the twins together for a purpose!

There's loads of interesting mysteries being set up in these first two episodes but Qimir is the one that has me most interested; I like how he's set up like a goofy comedic supporting character, but we get all these little hints that indicate that there's more depth to him, and he clearly knows more than he lets on. Needless to say The Acolyte has definitely got my attention so far, and I'm curious to see how the mystery will progress as the series progresses
The May Sol fight was awesome! Kinda reminded me of Bariss and Lynne. Fear is my ally. You choose your allies poorly. Your anger makes you predictable.
Erm, I only speak for myself and I’m struggling to enjoy this show, I was hoping for another Andor and so far it’s no where near that standard in dialogue and writing. I’m glad that others are enjoying it but the conversations I’ve had with my friends about it would almost put me in the bashing category. I just want better for my once favourite franchise. And I’m a little hurt that bringing up flaws can get you tarred and feathered so easily nowadays. Please don’t imply people are fascists just because they may be a little overly harsh about a show.
If the Jedi know there was an attack on Torbin, why didn't they post a guard to protect him? I am also wondering why Torbin wouldn't allow himself to be stabbed if he was willing to take the poison and commit suicide anyway?
@@chunkykitten I have no problem with anyone who doesn't like the show, provided the reasons are valid. If it didn't really look interesting to someone, they could choose not to watch it without insulting the people who do. If you watched it, but it didn't hook you, you don't have to continue watching it, and there is nothing wrong with that, as everyone's mileage may vary. I have a problem with the people who don't watch the show but then get angry at me for liking it (which is happening far too often). And people who don't like the show because it features a woman or LGBT? Those people who don't like the show because it features them are garbage, and I have little tolerance for them. As soon as someone says the show is "too woke", I start getting angry. I understand what you are going through, and I too feel like I'm about to be tarred and feathered just because I do like the show.
@@chunkykitten It's fair to not like the show, though I don't think this was ever billed as another Andor. There's only one Andor and we were damned lucky to get it. The Acolyte seems to be more oriented toward action and mystery (there was a big fight in both episodes).
Yord is correct in saying that Mae can't defeat a Jedi master, but he is again clueless to the lengths she's willing to go in a fight. The mystery is truly in the past with this show and I can't wait to learn more.
A flashback episode would be great for, if anything, more carrie anne moss scenes. Also, does anyone else think it's ironic that the most dangerous job is being done by someone called Osha?
Yeah, there will be a flashback, not sure if it'll be a full ep or part of one, but there are defo scenes from the past in one of the trailers or tv spots. It shows Sol with much shorter hair and one of the others.
I've laughed at the people who only look at this show for its supposed political commentary and social justice nonsense.... I just like watching a good show!
They could've casted actual twins to play Mae and Osha, but Lucasfilm thought one person would be enough. That's one way to cut costs. Next you tell me that they made a movie with an entire army where every single soldier is played by the same actor.

Are we ignoring the poor filmmaking and writing on this show? I’m not understanding how quality and consistency aren’t important anymore. I really hope whatever the Jedi did is worth all of this killing, but so far, I don’t believe the writers have the ability to tell that kind of story.
This isn’t your goofy Clone Wars banter or even over-the-top Ahsoka quantity over quality…it’s a murder mystery with plot twists and diversions in every episode (Headland also did Russian Doll), so it takes so it takes people with a high enough IQ and comprehension to enjoy a more adult version of Star Wars! 🤨
@@collegebro85 No, it's bad. I don't need to insult you to express my opinion. The facts support my position. The show is filled with awful plot contrivance's, the dialogue is stilted and poorly delivered, and the amount of times the creators lose track of time is baffling. For example, in episode 1 Osha, crash lands onto a planet, somehow without a scratch, and before she wakes up the Jedi have captured the criminals from the escape pods, imprisoned them, questioned them, and have assembled a team to go after her. How?
@@Cornberry We shall. It's hard to understand the glowing reviews with dialogue like "Attack me, with all of your strength" and "A jedi doesn't pull her weapon unless she's prepared to kill" after you attacked her and innocent people. The fight scenes were cool and it's nice to see characters that aren't connected to the OT, but aside from that, this show is mediocre at best.
