Sea Of Thieves is a really good game, it doesn't have realistic graphics (except for lighting, Sea Of Thieves lightning is wonderful) But it has a lot of content and pretty nice details. Even if the game have arcade stylish type of game, It's still awesome, and is more enjoyable than this sh*t. One of my favorite videogames, it doesn't have all the recognition it deserves.

I just don't understand how the newest game can be such a MASSIVE downgrade in a technical sense. I always figured the writing wouldn't be up to snuff since the first trailer, but holy shit, they had all the source code and assets available to them from the previous Saints Row games, and they still managed to make something objectively worse (again from a technical standpoint) than even the worst of their previous entries. Even the very first Saints Row game is more technically sound and enjoyable to play. Just a sad situation all around. The older we get, seeing all these developers who used to make absolute bangers reduced to what they are. And it's because no one with a high proficiency in coding and design wants to work at a place where they have to endlessly crunch and kowtow to investors who have no idea what it actually takes to make a good game.
Investors nowadays just want to get a quick buck and it shows. Modern game releases like this Saints Row feels like rushed, unpolished, and unoptimized game because investors put on ridiculous deadlines so the game can be delivered to the market quickly without even thinking about the game's quality.
I feel you. They started from scratch on the coding while also building the game. Saint's Row and Cyberpunk have at least showcased the positive to developers, not to do that.

Playing through the older saints row games legit reminded me why i enjoyed them so much SR2: cheat codes (car masshole and ramming the damn train xD), causing chaos and having the FBI respond (along with ultor security sometimes), military like response (even though they dont really have tanks they just have the "Grizzly" aka Bear which is somewhat like an apc :), Fuzz job, FD/EMS job (if you get the ambulance or fire truck [like in GTA]) SR3: upgrades, jokes, also cheats, STAG deployment, zombies (kinda fun to "clear" out the nuclear plant island would've been cool if there was checkpoint on bridge above it cause the toxic cloud practically engulfs a section of it), military response SR4: Even though it was the same game with superpowers and aliens it still proved to be better than agents of mayhem and the new saints row. Plus the fact i completely forgot about the dubstep christmas gun and death from above (nuke >:))

Some game companies need to understand that hyper-realistic graphics do not make games actually realistic, but attention to detail, realistic NPC behaviour and overall polishing do.
overall polishing? Devs get that but investors and stake holders just don't care as long as they make a profit as soon as possible. Most games with hyper realistic graphics have great attention to detail, graphics, a.i , Writting and level or world design. Example: God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon Zero Dawn, Horizon Forbidden West, Red Dead Redemption II, GTA IV , GTA V, Marvel Spider-Man Miles Morales and Uncharted Lost Legacy and Uncharted 4 need I go on most of these High budget realistic graphics games have it all. Creating Complex NPC Behavior is very hard as tons of money is spent on Dialogue, Motion Capture, Writting, etc. unless the company is Rich like Rockstar or Sony with great talent, its unrealistic expectations to expect.

I actually liked Saints Row 3 and 4 and 100%ed them on 360 and own them on Switch. This makes me want to play Saints Row 3 again. Saints Row 2022 continues to be an embarrassment

Playing through the older saints row games legit reminded me why i enjoyed them so much
SR2: cheat codes (car masshole and ramming the damn train xD), causing chaos and having the FBI respond (along with ultor security sometimes), military like response (even though they dont really have tanks they just have the "Grizzly" aka Bear which is somewhat like an apc :), Fuzz job, FD/EMS job (if you get the ambulance or fire truck [like in GTA])
SR3: upgrades, jokes, also cheats, STAG deployment, zombies (kinda fun to "clear" out the nuclear plant island would've been cool if there was checkpoint on bridge above it cause the toxic cloud practically engulfs a section of it), military response
SR4: Even though it was the same game with superpowers and aliens it still proved to be better than agents of mayhem and the new saints row. Plus the fact i completely forgot about the dubstep christmas gun and death from above (nuke >:))
Not only this, but let's not forget that clothes are even wet after being in the water in 2008s Saints Row 2. I feel like the new saints row game went back so many steps in terms of technology. I don't get it.

@@whkn_is_my_new-channel As a game dev I agree, and saint row makes me feel insulted since that is not what we are supposed to be making, even with a lower budget the experience should be #1 what volition didis not a game that follows its legacy but it is closer to a tech demo of the city, I feel sorry for some devs in their team because they probably wanted something more polished, at least I expect they did.

Some game companies need to understand that hyper-realistic graphics do not make games actually realistic, but attention to detail, realistic NPC behaviour and overall polishing do.
overall polishing? Devs get that but investors and stake holders just don't care as long as they make a profit as soon as possible.
Most games with hyper realistic graphics have great attention to detail, graphics, a.i , Writting and level or world design. Example: God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon Zero Dawn, Horizon Forbidden West, Red Dead Redemption II, GTA IV , GTA V, Marvel Spider-Man Miles Morales and Uncharted Lost Legacy and Uncharted 4 need I go on most of these High budget realistic graphics games have it all. Creating Complex NPC Behavior is very hard as tons of money is spent on Dialogue, Motion Capture, Writting, etc. unless the company is Rich like Rockstar or Sony with great talent, its unrealistic expectations to expect.

@@firecraft1324 Saints row never had great graphics just standard AAA graphics post Saints Row IVbut yeah Cyberpunk 2077 definitely has graphics over actual quality though the story wasn't that bad it had its moments I guess with Kick Ass Music to boot its a shame it never reached its potential not even close.
