12:40 personally a United fan means you support United as a whole from the Men’s/Women’s , youth team and even if their was a kindergarten team I’d support that.
@@Imbatman257 but most United fans only put money into the men’s team. If we want the women’s team to be taken more seriously, more people have to spend money on supporting it, that’s just economics sorry.
For as much good this channel has done and will do for the club, they are also the only channel still saying that the Ashworth sack was a “bad look”. It was a business decision. The man obviously failed to impress and was deemed unworthy to lead our club. I respect them MORE now for making the tough decisions with such decisiveness
They have done everything with the aim to improve the club. The waste that had crept in over the years was clearly out of hand. Cost cutting and price increases was inevitable but shit for a lot of people and that is sad. But this is all down to the way the Glazers have slowly destroyed our club and the energy should be directed their way!
'Waste that crept in over the years', mate are you a Mckinsey consultant? So much waste that the club has still being profitable enough for glazer dividends over the past 10 years? Despite no real success on pitch? Glazers never wanted to sell, they played us like fools. They brought in Jim who had the balls to do all things they didn't have leverage to do, which allows them to keep majority control of the club. I can look past redundancies & other basic cost cuts, but so many are just brutal & pointless like cutting a £20k disabled supporters fund, no sandwiches for stewards & raising ticket prices for most vulnerable in society like pensioners & kids. Don't let this PSR & 'losses' fearmonger you, despite the glut, financially we're still one of the most well off/ran clubs despite not getting top tv revenue due to poor on pitch outcomes. Jim has frankly made the situation 2x as bad. He's ensured Glazers never sell up now & Jim hasn't shown why he's different other than more PR.
Love Paddock. Stood there back in the seventies ,but…..Very naive of you Joe……Its a business. As a club and fanbase ,we are too sentimental. No one is bleating that Rashford is earning 500 times the uk national average. Insane IMHO. We need a huge ammount of work and change. There are a ton of things to sort before bonuses and re-hiring is required. Yes its a shame but by accounts united have way more staff than any other PL club. As for all the staff changes ,you need to work in a few more companies and see the real commercial world. Its cruel and brutal like real life.
The problem with the 100M in sales, is that only 36M is booked as income in last report. Where is the rest gone? Agents? Paying of wages to those sold? A big ???
£66 tickets? That’s inexpensive to moderate by us American fans perspective. Not everything INEOS has done has been perfect, but we as a society and fans want instant change and instant success. That’s impossible. It’s far easier to break things down than to build them up (look at what the Glazers did post SAF). We need patience and time to see if it’s going to work or not. We can already see a plan being put in place. Let’s give it time to see if it is a success or not before jumping all over them. We were shit for a decade. I think we can have 2-3 years of patience to see if all the big picture stuff pays off or not.
Cant really agree with the criticism of the approach to the womens team. The club is in a dire financial situation, the priority has to be the finances and what SJR has recognised is sporting success (of the mens team) will drive revenue. The womens team will not. Those are the facts, if you want to change that, we all need to start going to the womens matches and buying shirts with their names on etc - but we wont.
he is doing WORK. why cant everyone see that hes clearly underlined the issues, stadium, facilties, structure of recruitment and long term plans for game model. He isnt perfect. More could be done. but if u look at the circumstances with our financial issues that has bled the club dry the past 10 years. this is a BIG job to turn around we do need some years but once we get a good crop of players. and we dont have to spend 200m every window we will start to see the fruits of their labour.
So why get involved in a club you don't have financial support to help complete the project? Selfish and greed, his ego is the reason we live in fear of psr.
@@oldmickymicky ? ok lets just let the glazers continue to destroy man utd from within. Im not happy that he hasnt got the financial means to back man utd properly but when you're talking about money in the billions its never without anything. BTW he has backed man utd. fear of PSR? yeah lets get -15 points one season when we're close to the title mental.
The ticket price hike is a disgrace. As a Utd fan who grew up in manchester, I live in London now and regularly go and take my son to Chelsea games. Tomorrows game for example, my ticket was £27 and child £13.5. League games are a little more but usually I pay less than £66 for both. INEOS are taking the p*ss. It will be hard for Utd to get back as with FFP you can no longer buy yourself out of trouble.
Tbh, the jury is massively out. The Ashworth fiasco is something they really need to learn from. I like the approach in the transfer market. They're a bit all over the place with their other clubs, that concerns me. Hopefully we'll be better off in a year or 2
In the meantime average players are earning millions. Whike the working classes get smashed to pieces. The women's team doesn't make a penny that's why Sir Jim has zero interest. He's all about money
Its always about money. Any well run successful club is about "the money". Its a sign things are usually going well like winning trophies. As for the womens team,go and watch them and put your money in the pot. I only have a passing interest in it tbh.
@jtbkilmartin9110 Not really interested in women's football to be honest. However I would go and watch on a one off. We need to compete at all levels. However if you put in 1.3 billion you wouldn't really be interested in something that has no financial returns.
United fans are unbearable, if we don’t have money or sign players because of FFP, United fans complain. If the club makes decisions that affect FFP positively, United fans complain. Can’t win with this lot 😂.
It's a long term strategy with Ineos and we've gotta trust them. The ticket increase is wrong, but that's their choice ultimately. But I wish people would stop pretending to care about the women's team. Women's football is artificially pushed by the media and when you see little clips, you see largely empty stands and low standards. Let's not pretend otherwise.
Arsenal are averaging over 30,000 for their womens team. We're only at about 6000, but they mostly play at LSV which doesn't help. If they were playing regularly in Manchester we'd have much higher attendances, the interest is there, the demand is there, it's the biggest growth sector in football.
We payed Newcastle 2.5 million quid for Ashworth, not exactly the "millions" as Joe said, 2.5 mill in the prem these days is small change. Yes, there was a bit hassle bringing Ashworth in, but hardly to the huge detriment to United, now he';s gone we carry on...
@ in the context of football, it really isn’t a lot, you’re right. I was just being silly, as 2.5 IS a plural rather than singular of 1, obviously. Anyhow, I think Joe said £1.5 in the vid, not sure if that’s accurate, but it underscores your actual point: the money isn’t significant. Time lost waiting on his gardening leave, time lost on five months here with poor productivity on his part, time lost on finding another person (if any) for that position… think they will look for a replacement or part out the responsibilities to the other admins?

True but Ratcliffe's investment help the Glazer's keep the club. So he is enabling them, he is the reason they are still here
