I used to live near there. That whole place flooded back in 2019. About 2 feet of water was in there. You can tell by how dirty some of the VHS tapes are on the bottom rows. Brings back memories from my past. Thank you for that, those were some great days for me!
UPDATE!!! We were just there at 11-30-2024. The DVDs are all gone. Along with the shelves. and alot more broken glass. The Place was called the Fox Hollow Cafe and Flea market. The dvds were part of the market. From what i can see the owner died in 2015 and its sat there rotting along Mo/IL border. some merch is still in the box and 4 trilers in the back have backstock as well. Its been gutted far worse. so right after you left a bunch of people came in with bats broke and stole alot of stuff... The area looks like this for miles. Just vacant buildings abandoned
You know how a lot of us come to see the decay and aging of items we recognize. It’s hard for me personally to accept it and see it when it comes to VHS, Vinyl and CDs. I just wish they could have been preserved knowing the value they once carried. Thank you for showing this place to us.
Fox's Flea Market and Fox Hollow Cafe in East Cape Girardeau, Illinois, 1-26-2020. The place flooded in 2019, but I think it has been out of business for awhile. The last post on Facebook was July 17, 2015 · "R.I.P Sally Jane you were a joy to work with all these years. You will be missed and loved by many". Perhaps the owner passed away.
Seems another comment feels confident about the 2015 death date as well. I guess it's a case of not having a successor, what happens when an owner just drops dead. It's not something we often think about, what kind of chaos could be brought about if we simply die and have no real continuation plan in place for others.
I've been watching your videos for several years now, and I've probably said this before but I really appreciate how respectful you are when exploring. I love the meaningful silence to let the location speak for itself, like a time capsule, and the sharing of your thoughts and feelings throughout. Thank you for being you!
Some gems in there but it is a graveyard monster smash LOL, the exposure and moisture damage is on a ridiculous level for mold growth, bugs and roach damage very possible, there are some worth salvaging but others are in what I call "Day after tommorow" Conditon LOL one step below "Dog Toy" LOL Keep on huntin'
If you find a 📼 tape with white stuff on the tape, toss it out. That's mold. It's a VCR killer. It messed up my VCR. I had to learn the hard way. Don't let this be you if you still use a VCR.
Its like stepping back in time or into a post apocalyptic wasteland. I look at all those VHS tapes and think back upon simpler times. It's like another dimension preserved in time
This was an awesome find. It is very frustrating how people are so disrespectful. 😢 Thank you for documenting our history. I loved all those videos it made me miss Blockbuster as well.
Out of all of the urban explorers on TH-cam, I enjoy yours the most. You're different and sound like you really care and enjoy what you do. Sorry you ended up having to take off for a while because of the tick getting into your system. I'm sure that literally sucked

@@DarkExploration I agree on that one. Unfortunately I could never do what you do. Just had two hip replacements and my knees are next, but love watching your channel
27:50 You're right. So much disrespect to antiques. I'm amazed. How does this happen? There are antique stores near me full of items just like these. Often very valuable stuff.
My dog Peppy died from Lyme Disease. It took 1 year to find out and 1 year later she could not walk and gave up. We have Anya now, and she got the shot and 30 days later the booster with her collar. Every year she will get the shot. I hope having it, you can still live a normal life. GL from Vermont!
It's amazing how decay and the elements of weather reclaim buildings and structures. It's too bad that some of the building materials couldn't be repurposed or the items in these structures be used instead of letting it all go to waste. I know all items can't be repurposed but the ones that can should be saved if possible. Yeah, you truly found a nostalgic piece of history with this place. You tend to wonder how these places become abandoned
So bummed I missed the premiere. This find was beyond amazing. Such a treasure trove of eclectic stuff. To note the walls look like this location was under water for an extended period of time.
