Dude.. you have so much knowledge, skill and patience dealing with the engine it's a very humbling experience. I'm curious how you got this experience.

awesome video man. I recently had to replace a head gasket on a D16A6 CRX Si and it went well but if I had more time I would have inspected the cylinder rings but I ended up just working on the head mostly but the car does burn more oil then it should but nothing too crazy.

@@mullac720 Interesting! My brother and I just picked up a ‘99 with 190k KMs (118k Miles) on it and it’s burning far more oil than yours is (judging from the exhaust pipe emissions in the video). It’s also a D16Y7 and the previous owner said he was putting in about a quart every 3 weeks. We haven’t started working on it yet, but I’m suspecting piston rings are stuck and/or valve stem seals are leaking. I’m going to attempt to bring it around with products like Seafoam, Berrymans B12, and/or a LiquiMoly Engine Flush. To see if I can get the rings un-stuck. Maybe I’ll make a video!

@@ekcivicuk Found out that the PO filled it with 7L of oil so it was blowing a ton out the exhaust and busted a bunch of seals. Drained out half the oil and gave it a can of aerosol Seafoam, a can of B12 in the tank and it runs like a top. Got some vids too 🤙
