Wow! Makes such a difference if troubleshooting the issue is done properly. I really hate when Dealership Service only comes with the extreme solutions for customers. Like, "you need a new turbo" or "your engine will need to be replaced and it will cost $46,000" (personal prior experience with Mercedes).
Root cause analysis well done. Now that the correlation is strong you can prove cause-effect and back it up with evidence registration! I have the same car and same issue so definitely getting a second opinion. Thanks for sharing !!!
Excellent Job my friend, you’re a humble man and held back on talking about Audi really bad. Very good Honest job you did here. Thank You for being a Great Certified Mechanic/Technician.
Excellent diagnosis........keep up the great work, i love watching your videos, and dealership is one place i dont trust, i have been through it, they fcuked me once, never again,
ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS, what we, accident investigators and pilots do to survive. Great job brother, unfortunately, it is difficult to find a trustworthy mechanic, unless you are referred to or know the person. Sterlerships are simply UNBELIVABLE. Thanks for sharing. I am having the same exact problem. Merci mon cher.
Nice job this is why we don’t throw parts at the car. I’m glad he called you vs someone else. Nice job brother hope all is well. Did you ever do a video with the snap on transducer cable lol? I kept my eye out but couldn’t find it
@weldingjunkie Thank you Brother, Everything is going well here and I hope Everything is going well with you too! I haven't had a chance to make a video with the Transducer that you sent me, I hope to use it soon! Thanks!!
@sneakdza Yeah!! Now I wonder if they were gonna replace the entire turbo and charge the customer for it, or maybe they weren't gonna replace it but still the customer for it and then just fix the leak, or did they even know it was just a leak!! it's sad!!
Hi guys . Great fault diagnosis but correct me if I’m wrong are you driving the customers car with your dirty work gear on . I noticed the guy in the passenger seat with dirty arms . My car was due for its MOT not long ago. I watched the workshop staff lying on the dirty workshop floor then jumping in to the customer car . I told the MOT guy nicely that he is not to sit in my car until he gets charged . My car still passed its MOT .
I have the same issue it happens a couple of times a month but only when I go up a big hill and roll into the throttle but not every time I go up it’s fine on the flat engine will happily redline when I try and force it to go into limp mode I get the same codes I also get fuel pressure low and fuel pressure high
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair thanks for the reply I have vcds due to be delivered this week my current scan software won’t do live data on Audi so when that comes I will be having a good look
Emergency room physicians and auto mechanics have lost the ability to make the correct diagnosis based on a competent history and examination. Instead they both rely on testing and then they frequently lack the ability to interpret the test results. The Audi mechanic fails to consider the differential diagnosis’s for loss of boost. A little good detective work can go a long way and in the process save a bunch of money and avoid unnecessary testing. As a physician over the years I have seen a steady deterioration in doctors ability to make a correct diagnosis without subjecting their patient to every test possible. A problem that apparently affects many different occupations.
@DrBruno50 Yes! That's True, I see it in our industry all the time unfortunately, There is a Slogan by One of my Favorite TH-camr Scannerdanner, he often says don't be a Parts Changer! I think a lot of Doctors are Parts Changers Too! Now I'm gonna start asking for a second opinion when it comes to Medical stuff Lol!!
Reason 6981 why I do all my own work on everything. HVAC, Cars, Home repairs, etc. I can buy all the equipment needed to diagnose and perform a repair and still only have a fraction into what the "expert" was going to charge me. And I have yet to have the "expert" to be correct in their diagnosis. I now have all the tools for future jobs if needed.
I've had the same code come up on my 3.0l tdi q7 2006,,mine lost boost, then it come back, then I lost it again and now it doesn't boost at all,how do you remove the turbo can't seem to find any video
@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair I took it to an audi specialist payed 600 gbp for them to change the pipe from the turbo to the exhaust manifold, went to collect it and they said it might not of fixed it but it needed changing. I've bought a new turbo with actuator, there's nothing wrong with the engine, checked all pipes I can see visually couldn't see a problem,I had my glow plug light come up once or twice but now it doesn't come up at all,the cars just got no boost it still drives above 60mph just takes a lot longer to get there then usual
I say stay away from dealerships, just because you pay them lots of money doesn't mean there that good, send them the video, make the know-all technician cringe.
Nicely done, dude! Good guys like you are the reason why I don't go to the stealership for repairs.
@aparris911 Thank you!
You are one of the best on TH-cam. You deserve more followers. Keep it up

To be honest I pretty much embarrassed. I work for the BMW dealership and it hurts when I hear about incompetency of some mechanics at the dealership.
