    As always, great demonstration video. I like how you set up everything and showed how it works. You might want to mention that your current set up is only 14.4 kWh and not the full 25 kWh system capacity.
    Below is a list of prices for your system, along with what's needed for home backup power. (For those that asked about this)
    1) Ecoflow Delta Pro (2) - $7,398.00 ($3,699.00 each)
    2) Ecoflow Delta Pro Smart Extra Battery (2) - $5,598 ($2,799.00 each)
    3) Ecoflow Smart Generator (2) - $2,798 ($1,399.00 each)
    4) Ecoflow Double Voltage Hub - $139.00
    5) Remote Control (2) $199.00 ($99 each)
    Total $16,132
    Add these for home backup power:
    1) Smart Home Panel - $1,599.00
    2) Ecoflow 400w Solar Panel - $1,199.00
    Total $2,798

    Excellent video! You've got one hell of a system there! This answers the question I had for using the Smart Generator to charge the Delta Pro units while hooked up to the Dual Voltage Hub. I have 2 Delta Pros and a Dual Voltage Hub hooked up to a transfer switch with some portable solar panels and I just wanted to get 1 EcoFlow Smart Generator to as a backup to keep the Delta Pros running. I'm thinking the built-in inverter will clean the power coming from the duromax. Thank you

  • @cltoloh

    How would you recommend setting the charge rate on the Delta Pro for daily use? With 3 390 watt qcells under good sun the unit is charged early in the day. The unit goes to 100% and pulls in enough power to run all devices, well under the wattage being generated. So the battery is staying topped off. I’m. Not sure if it’s healthy for it to stay topped off all day. What are your thoughts?

    • @GeneratorReviews
      @GeneratorReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is absolutely fine, the charge controller takes care of everything and on the days you don’t have too much sun I
      it’s going to still be charged in one day. You’re not dealing with lead acid battery anymore. No worries 😉

      The two most expensive pieces are the 2 main pro units. Costco sells these in a bundle on sale (right now) for $4,500. That’s $3,000 cheaper than buying from EcoFlow. Then 2 of the extra batteries are on sale for $2,600 ($5,600 from EcoFlow for 2). There’s 4 of these so you’d have to double that. So you can save a lot with Costco. So the main expense in this setup is almost $19,000 pre tax at EcoFlow for the main portion of this setup but only and under $10,000 at Costco. Still a lot of money but if you ever consider buying a setup similar to this, consider a Costco membership and wait for them to put the EcoFlow stuff there on sale which happens at least twice a year. The current EcoFlow sales at Costco are good till December 24th

      I installed steam turbine and gas turbine power stations in 17 countries for a living over the years. For 30 years my home hobby was restoring generators, mostly Kohlers and Onans. I got rid of most, kept the best, bought a few modern inverter generators....one of them after Gavin's review. I still have a nice Onan standby diesel gen set on a 40 gallon fuel tank. It's noisy, it stinks, but it's totally reliable, and gets run with load once a month. But there is NOTHING like rigging for silent running on batteries, inverters, solar panels and charge controllers, especially at night. Aside from a few cooling fans, it's quiet and gives off no odors. I build my own ''solar generators'' .... what an ugly term but we are stuck with it. I call mine Sunshine Compressors. I believe in having backup on backup. My financial return on investment is 100 years+. Everybody screaming about ROI on solar equipment never considered their car, boat, or motorhome an investment that will pay itself back. Being retired, no mortgage, no bills, I don't weigh the cost. Yes, everybody should have more than one source of power if not a little Honda eu2200i, have 12 gage extension cords, and know how to use the generator.
      I will add this.... in August 2020 we had 100-110 degree days, lost the grid for 3 days and nights. I had my fridges and freezers on batteries. Some knobhead about 1/2 mile away had an annoying loud contractor 3600 rpm gen set running day and night, no shutdown to refuel. At about 3AM I was awake and it started to sound a bit different. A few seconds later it clattered loudly then stopped suddenly. No check da oil. I bet a rod went through the block.

    I have the same setup 2 x delta pro + 2 x back up battery's. I do not have the ecoflow generators because I have the genmax 9000ied generator which I plan to manually alternate with on longer black outs where once my deltas get low I plan to switch to the genmax to power the home while I charge my ecoflows. I'm installing 2 dedicated 240v outlets to fast charge the Pros using 240v C13 cords so I have the option to quickly charge them and shut off the generator.
    My question with the ecoflow generators is once the deltapros get low enough to kick on the generators will they charge the delta pros(minus the power the house is consuming) and if so will they shut off again on their own once it reach a full charge? That would be very convenient if they worked like that.

    • @GeneratorReviews
      @GeneratorReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The man with a great plan
      Yes when it comes to the Delta Pro charging with a smart generator they shut off the generator once it’s full charge and will restart it at 30% you can actually tell it what percentage to shut off and restart

    • @TonyStark998
      @TonyStark998 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GeneratorReviews that's pretty damn slick then. The main reason I went with the 9000ied is obviously I'm getting over twice the output of 2 ecoflow generators for less money and the flexibility in fuel but also with the soft start ac kit like you reviewed I'd have the option to run my AC as long as I'm not running any other real heavy loads. My AC + furnace uses a even 4kw running. My stove, drier and water heater are all gas so I shouldn't have a problem.
      It would be really nice if they made a external fuel tank for the ecoflows. 1 tank is rated for 3.5hrs full load which I'm ballparking it around 6000watts generated with one tank. If you ran the delta pros to 20% a tank of gas fuel would get you to 100% by the the time the tank is dry with no other load. If you were using basic home loads you probably be around 75-80%. For camping these are all non issues since your sacrificing for portability but for home it would be nice to not have to worry about it for a couple days. If I ever see them on sale for around 1000 I might jump on them Just because I really like the smart features. Great videos as usual my man!

    I just received my Delta Pro, Smart Generator and 2 extra batteries that I purchased during Amazon Prime days. I was surprised to learn that I was missing the adapter that is necessary to make the Smart Generator connect to the Delta Pro. Neither box contained the adapter. I saw a lot of TH-camrs receive their adapters with the Delta Pro. I wrote EcoFlow and asked about the missing adapter. EcoFlow replied, if the adapter is not listed in the parts list of what comes in the box then I have to purchase the adapter. WTF!!!! Why sell “Smart” Generator that the customer can’t connect to anything. I mean, out of the box(es) how is this a “Smart” Generator at all. It’s really a Dumb Generator until you pay $70 plus tax and shipping and wait a few more days to receive the part. This is very stupid and petty on the part of EcoFlow. Curious to what system you would recommend eco flow or bluetti I’m going to use it for my trailer and a little home back up so I need a 30 amp plug

    • @GeneratorReviews
      @GeneratorReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It all depends on if you plan on leaving it in one location. The EcoFlow delta pro are easily able to be relocated but the BLUETTI are not easily transported
      I like both systems but that’s one of my main problem

      Thank you I was leaning towards the Eco flow but yes I will be moving around once a month to go camping and then use it at home I just wanted to know your opinion because I love your videos and you have excellent reviews

    Interesting but confusing. Do you need 2 generators if you have 2 Delta Pros?

    • @GeneratorReviews
      @GeneratorReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you need two smart generators for this setup

      Most likely that only one generator will work, but not optimal.
      You connect the one Delta Pro with the DC cable, and the other one using the AC outlet..
      The problem is that it will only detect the SOC on the one Delta Pro.

      @@MichaelEricMenk no because it can only output 1800 watts

    • @MichaelEricMenk
      @MichaelEricMenk 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@spartanpatriot3163 have you tried or does it say so in the manual?
      The port in used in the video is a DC port. Most likely this will adjust the CC part of charge based on the total load. That's no problem to implement.
      The AC input on the power bank (aka solar generator) can also be adjusted ...
      So you just claiming 1800W do not prove anything the one or the other way....

    I can't see how it's more possible.To have more watts with a gas generator from delta When it's 1800 W, max from each of that's only 3600 W between the 2. Then you gotta bite fuel and always buy fuel, which is very costly and if you don't believe me, buy gas for 2 years straight through running your fuel generator how much is it gonna cost you? Oh wait.I should have said 4 years because it's gonna take that long.Get your money back worth on it.

    What options are there for generators to recharge ?

    • @GeneratorReviews
      @GeneratorReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use any generator to recharge it using the AC plug it just won’t be automatic

    • @DSMLivin
      @DSMLivin ปีที่แล้ว

      Unless there have been an update, I don't think you can AC charge if the dual voltage hub is connected.

    MY Tale : TH-cam has many "WOOD GASIFIRE" BUILDS. By placing wood into a simple gasifier that can then Run your generator which then can charge up your battery banks with ZERO outlay if you can source the wood for free. Continuous free energy.

    I have one Pro but not there generator, do they plug the generator into the regular input into the pro’s regular power input?

    • @GeneratorReviews

      The smart generator plugs in the exact same spot the extra battery plugs in

      @@GeneratorReviews ok. Thank you.
      If you see this is there a longer cord for this?
      I ask because I wouldn’t want to keep the pro and extra battery outside. To much $$ not safe.
