As a charge blade main since 4U i can say, its really easy to get to the point where you just turn your brain off and go, hehe guard into AED go BOOM, HH players on the other hand? They have my utmost respect 100%
@@warwicksulista8320 yeah, charge blade aint that difficult really. I got into MH with world and when I got the hang of the mechanics, it became my favorite weapon.
Hunting horn looks so awesome in this one. Really happy they only took some stuff out of rise for that weapon. Cause imo the world one was solid, but a tad bit slow. But im very happy with the other weapons as well. Cant wait.. The DOOTING WILL BE LEGENDARY
My high school buddy Michael introduced me to the franchise by bringing a game if it on his 3ds to school. Turns out he's an OG Fan; one of the first to figure out how to use the Chargeblade and share his findings on old obscure forum pages. Some time I'll let him teach me.
Gunlance in MHW is literally just Explosive Acupuncture (edit) Chargeblade in Wilds will literally just be the thing that adds the tism to whatever my doctor says I have
The clashes between hunters and monsters is called Power Clash from the livestreams and are activated by blocking at the correct time on certain attacks
22:40 My beloved Switch Axe. What you saw at 23:53 is its discharge attack in sword mode. In MH: World, there were situations where you could run at a monster, grab onto it, jam your axe into it, and charge until you blasted off like a rocket!
Gunlance main excited to relearn my weapon again from the ground-up in each new game o7. It looks like they've really worked shelling into the combos more, that shelling sidestep move looks interesting too. SwAxe looks mostly unchanged, except for that new sword mode counter (not a bad thing, it's already the perfect weapon). it looks like they might've made the old button mash attack the focus attack for this game, with an elemental finisher?
Sunbreak gunlance was a unique beast that I doubt we'll ever really get back again, but fighting flying monsters while also flying was fun while it lasted. Even without the wacky speed, I am still here to do two things: ignore all the monster's defenses, and ignore all the monster's attacks. Being beholden to game mechanics is for lesser weapons, like longsword.
"Jack of all trades, master of none" is often said with negative connotation, while the full saying goes: "Jack of all trades, master of none, but oftentimes better than master of one"
Hey Jack. Wanted to let you know, as Long time MH Player, Insect when it was introduced in 4 and 4U it was a beast. In Generations and GenerationsU Aerial Style IG was where it peaked. It sadly has lost it's luster in other games. I hope one day we can return to Ultimate Insect Glaive 🎉
DEFENSE IS THE BEST OFFENSE! NOT ONE STEP BACK! I used to be a gunlance player in world. Switched to Lance because I need to reposition so much. I think I'm going back to gunlance, and if I can, I will use both.
Hunting Horn in World: you know what, I'm actually having a lot of fun with this weapon. So many one-time passwords to unlock a buff/boom! Rise: Hmmm... not really feeling it. Basically hammer with music (didn't really like HH that much in Rise and switched to Hammer). Wilds: ooh, they got some moves. Hope it's closer to World's version.
I played with different weapons in World and liked the Lance, hammer and big sword the most. That lance looks great. I'm looking forward to rectal adventures with the lance.
bit late on the comment, but the DBs have had the Levi move since at least World (slide downhill then jump attack) it's just that now we can grapple onto the monster AoT style
honestly, i dunno how much my dual blades will be using focus mode. the main application of the dual blades is "flail", so targeting specific weakpoints is a little bit off-putting.
I still wish we’s get a proper spear, like it’s the most used weapon for hunting in human history yet we have yet to get one. (I don’t count the lances, they are too different to a regular spear.)
Who’s also female, as we still have yet to see her male counterpart. Alongside the female counterparts of fellow Fated Four members Astalos, Mizutsune, and Glavenus.
21:23 You might be glad to know, Jack, that the second part of that was added later on. It really just refers to someone who is skilled in many fields with a good level of broad knowledge, and generally good to keep around. The "master of none" bit was likely added and popularised by people (most likely specialist tradespeople and family businesses) who wanted their juniors to avoid broad knowledge in favour of the particulars, most likely to strengthen their own prospects by lessening the number of cheaper options for potential customers who needed something done. Sorry for the infodump. Didn't realise that was gonna take up quite so much space.
@@atroniac5703 Some people say that the original had ", but oftentimes metter than a master of one" on the end, but this isn't true. That part was added even later to make the insult back into a compliment.
500 views in half hour, my man is getting close to #1 in Gaming Also I get the feeling Capcom is trying to milk MW every 4y or so and I didn't play newer games, you guys feel the assets from game to game are copy and paste?
Him: i al sold on monhun wilds. Me: really? Just now? Edit: 11:45 that you re a connaisseur. A refined expert in your craft Edit2: hammer. One does not refrain to transcend the bonk time continuum. You take the brain of your ex. N bonk it while bonking your target.
The only thing I don't like right now is Greatsword. Wish there was more reactivity on it, because it just doesn't seem as heavy as it used to. Maybe it'll change when a demo comes out.
Dude, charge blade players have my utmost respect, getting to do all that complicated stuff, and look flashy as hell while doing it
We charge blades are tankers it's our job to handle the hard stuff
@@randomdoomer8549 And we bowgun users sit back and help out with more dakka

It is in fact, not complicated, it's just doing particular combos to get shit powered up a billion times over and turning into a buzzsaw for a bit

The chill zone. My favorite slop channel.
18:38 Me, giving my hammer a concussion as well as the monster:
Of course the hammer has a brain, it's a smart decision to play Hammer!
It's an even smarter decision to play ChargeBlade
People say hammer is easy until they learn they cant just hide behind the monsters tail hitting like a LS player
the monster that Hammer was made of must not have been hunted by a Hammer user...the brain would NOT have been intact
Hammer is basically: Be smart, don't think, judt bonk.
Insect glaives went from helicopter imitation to straight up pole dancing on the monters
HH Haters when the air starts speaking blunt damage:

I still find it impossible but just imagine they add dalamandr the BIGGEST elder dragon of them all
I'm so hyped to see you join hunt for Wilds!
Oh? We got another hunter in our midst?
No new weapon, but we do have a new trailer out! Dropped literally an hour after you came out w this :)
I NEED to get my hands on that lance I can't fuckin wait
The clashes between hunters and monsters is called Power Clash from the livestreams and are activated by blocking at the correct time on certain attacks
Jack, I believe there's a chance they might add dalamadur later on.
It's no longer 'how big is the fight?' but rather 'how are we gonna fight?'
I've been a Chargeblade main since mh4u, and watching the slight changes in the overview are just *chef's kiss*.

They took what i loved about world's combat and then combined it with some of the flashiness of GU/Rise. Oh yeah, we're eatin good brothers.
There’s also going to be some new footage at gamescom either today or tomorrow!

I'll just say it now they are going to tie weakness exploit to the wound mechanic and I don't know if it will drive me crazy yet
As long as it's not as crippling as World I won't care
