Moose shed hunting with a dog in The North Maine Woods, shed hunting for moose antlers. We set up camp and started shed hunting but Gracie was injured with snow blindness so we had to leave. In this video we are using a luxe hiking gear megahorn tipi hot tent with a woodstove. #shedhunting #themainewoods #sheddog

Hello! Are you in Aroostook county? I have a snowmobile house in Eustis. I left on my sled one morning about a month ago and was riding down to Rangeley on ITS 89 . I saw a tree branch on trail and stop to pick it up so no one would blast it. It ended up being a moose antler. I tied it to my sled and kept it, every said it was nice. I guess I got lucky. I hope the dog is ok 😊

Hope Gracie is all good now, My buddies dogs have gotten mild snow blindness but my old dog (Saint Bernard) always seemed to be okay, I would check for it and he always seems okay, might have to do with his breed's familiarity with snow and adaptations

Not much room for activities when you have cots in it
@@TheMaineWoods thanks. That answers another question I had. When I’m going light I sleep on the ground and throw a blanket for my 2 hounds. I have 3 setups depending on what I’m doing.
@@coreygraham3572 yes that’s how i was doing it on an insulated ground pad but being that low it was soo much colder than being on a cot
