3:09 you could also just check the divide by value x box and put 5 in there to put it back to its original size, that’s a lot easier to do instead of calculating the right number especially if you’re trying to divide two digit numbers

You should play around more with the Gradient trigger. make a cube out of dots and give it the same group. Then see what happens. Your mind will be blown!

Experiment with rotation too, you can make some crazy stuff (AudieoVisual demonstrated this on a recent video)
I Am trying to make a 3d cube that can be rotated individualy in the x, y, and z axis. Only problem is that it's wierdly streaching in the x axis, idk why

3:12 actually, there is an easier way to do this. Just check the box that says "div by value X" then keep it at 5. This will divide the scale by itself which will always send it back to 1. I learned this from the official editor guide.

with the scale trigger, instead of say 5 and 0.2, you can use 5 for both and check the divide box in the second one
You would want to turn on div for both of them, then 5 for the first and 1 for the second
(x = 1, then for the first one it multiplies the scale by 5/x = 5, then x = 5, then for the second one it multiplies the scale by 1/x = 1/5
The potential from not only how easy it is to make that but also, it takes very little objects to make that! 2.2 sure is amazing and it is only going to get even better.
i wonder what would happen if you try to add extra decor to auto build like extreme demon levels and see if it would work?
at 2:50 instead of using lock to player x for it to lock to the camera, you could use lock to camera x and y to have it work with camera controls
1:58 You can actually don't need to set the rotation center to another group now! If you give it group 1 but instead of "add" you click "P", it will make that object the parent of that group, so if you enter that group in fields where there can only be one object (rotation center, follow id, etc), it will use the parent object.

I'm not a creator, but that wall of scale triggers you made at the start, I bet you could achieve the same thing with literally like 3 triggers total now
oh, and you might want to have the background effect follow the camera instead of follow player x

Been working with a lot of particles for my level and I gotta say these videos are a big inspiration for loads of the effects I'm using! Have come up with a few of my own though, so you could check them out and see if it gives you any ideas
in the particle editor, under one of the menus there are free buttons labed "relative" "free" and "grouped". by default its on grouped. but if you change it to relative and start moving the particle object, instead of all the particles being glued to the object like usual, the particles will be dynamic, you should definetly mess around with that as it can create some really nice effects by moving or rotating the particle object with relative selected :)

What if we could customise our editor without mods? Would make so much sense to move frequently used buttons and triggers on top.
What would make more sense is a “commonly used” tab because then the other tabs are always in the same order. You could (ab)use the C tab to have access to all the most common blocks you use

5:01 Wulzy, You can deactivate the shockwave and similar triggers like that when in editor by activated the button in top right corner (6:53 this button)
The top right check box on all of the shader triggers disables the preview in the editor separately in case you want to see your cool shaders without seeing the shockwaves or smth

But now I made 50% progress on a rateworthy platformer level because of 2.2 stuff
the hard part was decorating everything but now everyone can use 8bit blocks and effect triggers to their leisure

I am building a layout rn and I am so exited to start decorating it
I could barely do anything before(would take forever) but with auto build and all of that I can easily make levels, and I love the gradient trigger.

In the swing mode if you put blue orbs you can make sharper movements
And you can also use pads too
It’s really cool
If you select triggers and then press esc and press the "create loop" button, i'll loop the triggers in order automatically for you, so you dont need to copy and paste it forever

As a mid creator who’s kinda getting too good cuz of 2.2 I agree and here’s an essay about 2.2:
2.2 Defined:
Pixel blocks makes everyone amazing! Use a darker color for base and lighter for
Detail then you’ll get the best block you’ve made! Add some particles and you’re done!
Camera triggers: Ah, Rotate, static, Zoom and offset most used triggers, You could just
Put random numbers and you’ll get a good project. (Don’t forget easing)
Shaders: There really are just so many you could use! Don’t forget
Changing what u want the shaders on!

Tip: Use -1.00 move time on move and rotate triggers for an infinite time when you lock an object on x axis
I think many people thought that levels will be even more impossible to build, use even more objects and be much laggier than in 2.1 But it seems, there are a lot of ways to make cool effects easily with few objects
I kinda like the way we didn't need to set group 1 to alpha trigger and make it 0 opacity... it's just that the new "hide" checkbox won't show the hidden object when you uncheck the preview mode...
