Great review Kenny! I really like the look of the gen of the Jetta especially this 40th Anniversary model. Great performance as well. I hear you about the lack of power seats but unless you have a bunch of different people driving it they really are not necessary. Congratz on 32k! Hope you are doing great!
Awesome review. I have tested the GLI 40th in manual and loved it. Your provided me with some supplemental info that has increased my ability interest in purchasing
As you can see in the video (20:07), there are ECO, Normal, Sport and CUSTOM driving modes. In custom mode, there is an adjustment labeled "Front differential lock" with the NORMAL and SPORT options. That said, response: 1 - What is the difference in the operation of the torque vectoring system and, consequently, in the behavior of the car, when changing the Front differential lock from NORMAL to SPORT? 2 - when the car is in NORMAL driving mode, the front differential lock automatically set to NORMAL? 3 - when the car is in SPORT driving mode, the front differential lock automatically in SPORT setting?
I may have missed it, but did you mention that there are only 1984 40th Anniversary Editions being made in the USA? I got a pure white one in a 6 speed manual a little over a month ago for $28K and I love it. Great video!
30K … ? WOW. My 2010 GTI was priced same back then. That was from a German fcty but I’m still surprised at this price! Loaded with features. Beautiful color. But IMO that orange colored donut shaped trim is an eye sore. Tks for the usual great review!
The manual shifts change based on the drive mode. The DSG shifts based on how much throttle response. If you put it in sport mode and shift it manually it's way faster. You have it in Eco or Normal. I have the 2022 Autobahn black package in the same color.
May I know at what governed RPM are the 228Hp and 258 ft-lb Peak Torque of your 2024 VW Jetta GLI, 'cause its very hard to appreciate the significance of those figures with out their corresponding RPMs. Sorry for asking.
This GLI would be an absolute riot with those front wheel peels I can see myself in it right now 😂 but yeah hopefully they can start sending you press cars soon
0-60 in 6 seconds is pretty slow for the "performance" version. VW should take some hints from Subaru. If I wanted cheap performance with mediocre interior, it better give me sub 5s 0-60. VW is like, "oh you want a Jetta with sub 5s? Have you seen our $55k+ Audi S3?
Ive had my Jetta since 2015. Bought it brand new, still no problem and runs completely fine. Just like any other vehicle keep up with maintenance and take care of it and it will last a long time
Try owning a Subaru… I went from VW to Subaru for the last 6 years (5 cars, 2 engine swaps), and I’m shopping to get back to Volkswagen. I’ve dabbled with Honda but don’t forget the “oil dilution” issues in the 1.5T …it turns the engine oil into 2 stroke, which also turns into tar in the valve train.
Always thorough, always great content. Thanks! Cheers from Houston!
Thanks for watching!

Agreed. I do like the small adjustments you can do with power seats tho. And thank you!
You are welcome Kenny! Take care and enjoy that nice weather!@@703Speed

Congrats on your 32K subs
Thank you👊🏼🙏🏼
Now on to the 2025 VW GLI 6spd. 😁 Great Review.

I hopefully someday, I can buy this vehicle.
You got it bro, I believe in you

The boost starts building around 1500 rpm. That is the point at which the torque maxes out, at 258. It doesn't max out at 228 horsepower until 5k Rpm
Awesome job Kenny.
This car looks really good. Great review. How do u feel about the autobahn version.
Thank you! I’m not sure as I haven’t driven the autobahn yet!

Real cars don't shift themselves. Picking up my 40th edition 6pd MANUAL tomorrow and can't wait.

Hell ya man congrats
I underestimated the vw. I put 150k miles on my jetta so far and haven't changed anything but my tires. Never breaks.
Love the review! 👍👍 can you also do a review on subaru wrx and the new Elantra n? Those are really good cars too!
Nothing about music. Does it have an SD card slot? Is a CD player an option?
Very nice, thorough review. Wish you had tested the M6!
Maybe next time - they’re hard to come by!
are those buttons on the steering wheel capactive?
This Edition would looks seek in another F&F episode. Greetings
If the rear doors aren't key less entry ......how do you get them unlocked?
The rear doors unlock once the front is activated. The rear doors don’t have the sensor, they depend on the front sensor.✌️
@@Tread1775 ok thanks. Makes sense now.
It has a cool look to it.
Agreed
Congrats on that 32k bro. @@703Speed

Hahaha. I think I need some press cars. I guess I’m not cool enough yet 🤓
@703Speed no your cool bro oh and I did text you on instagram
Volkswagen's cars get the driving experience down right!
Is it worth spending more on the GTI or save a ton on the GLI? Also, do you get the same active safety features? Any advice is much appreciated.
Great review. No sunroof is a bummer.
You have to get the top autobahn trim

❤ I love this car but must be white
Wow, all I hear from Scotty Kilmer on TH-cam how bad Volkswagens are, and VW is going bankrupt. And VWS always breakdown .
car has nice lines and all, but why do they ruin it with the red lipstick crap. It looks so cheesy with that. Leave that to Dodge.
Lol
The brake calipers are red so it really works. People say they like the red, and I have a 22 Gli Blk Pkg in the same color.
As much fun to drive was hesitant to watch only cause its difficult for a "fat old man" to get in and out. Great review. Peace bro.
Ya, it is kinda low to the ground
I like the GLI is still around. The shiny red plastic needs to go. It looks cheesy and cheap.
Or just less of it
A lot less lol
Simple fix....getting those red bits wrapped in black as soon as i pick it up......problem solved.....rest of car looks great.
With 74k mine has a timing chain rattle facing big $ repair
No air vents or charging ports in the back. Shameful.
Those tires are junk.
Nice but I do not trust any VW to be a reliable vehicle.
Maybe not for the long term

I have three, all working fine
@@worldwargames6040Too new to be considered reliable. Any car is fine when its that new.

Good looking car for the money
