Welp, this ended up much longer than I intended. I apologise for that. I found the change to be quite stressful to say the least. My school definitely did prepare us really well for the transition from year 10 to year 11 so that was great. I didn't seem to take it seriously though, thinking, "Oh, it can't be that bad," LMAO, big mistake. I am so behind on the workload for all of my subjects and I am so stressed to the point that I just don't care anymore - about both my work and how this could possibly effect the rest of the year for me. I really am trying to catch up, but I have terrible time management. Well actually, I use all the free time I have to do everything that's not homework - I'm not even lazy, I just don't want to do the work, because of the fact that I have so much to do. Which really sucks because I want to do well in my two years of VCE. Even now, as I am typing all of this, I am ignoring the amount of work I need to do. Although during this time, I was catching up on your videos and I'd just like to say that you've been such a big help! Especially your language analysis videos and your tips for orals. I am currently working on language analysis in English and I hate it. .. so much. I really struggled with it last year and because of that I don't really have the enthusiasm to do it. But I do have a practice SAC for it next week (yay.. . ..) and your videos have really helped me, SO MUCH. So, I just wanted to say thank you for making all these videos because it really inspires me to actually, well, do my work haha.
Hi everyone! Sorry my audio is not as pleasing to the ear as normal, I will keep improving! Meanwhile, my VCE English Interactive Autumn Workshop is coming up in a month so please go ahead and check it out! I'd love to meet you and teach you then! www.vcestudyguides.com/workshops/vce-english-intensive
So true Lisa! The content in year 11 is definitely a huge jump from what’s in year 10 but also not impossible to learn :) Thanks for the amazing video!! 🤗👍
I love this video because I can relate to so much of it! since I am in year 11.... Could you do a video about balancing school studies and part-time jobs?
Super relatable!! Can you please make a list of recommended apps and websites for students? And an advice video for moving to a new school? Looking forward for your response! Thanks! :)
Hi, Great video!! I'm also entering year 11 this year and am really worried about my workload, do you also have any other ways to manage work/habits and motivation. THANK YOU!!!
trust me, girl year 10 do not be scared. try ur best. its the exact same as year 9 in my opinion they just treat you more stricter and more like an adult as you they make you more independent for your own learning.
Lol i missed all the exam experience i would have gained from yr 10 and 11 due to covid and now i have to go to sixth form and study chemistry, maths, biology and sport. RIP
Hey Annie, from my experience there isn't much of a change from 9 to 10 other than you are looked at as more senior. You're treated less like children and teachers start to talk quite a lot about your future. You also start to hear about creating study habits and choosing senior subjects I guess it depends on your school and teachers, but as I said, very little change for me. In the end I think yr 10 is the last year you can really relax and not take too seriously.
The fuck are "spares" everyone in my school or at least the vast majority of people have their 5 core subjects that they have to take and another 4 that you chose from, how are you doing 6 subjects with spares i want your school
all high scorers from yr9 onwards are deadset on scoring high in yr10 its now time to choose yr11 of the hard subjects australian school problems even teachers have to choose kids in yr10 that are prepared to only study maths subjects or science subjects because
Make the most out of it My friends and i realized that we took those years for granted because when you get to year 10 and 11, you are so stressed and you have so much more work to do :) Hope that helped (kind of)

+Phoenix Poon that's a great idea, I'll add it to my list of videos to do!
Year 10 to year 11 was a big jump for me, content 10 times harder. Although the jump from year 11 to year 12 is a lot more manageable for me.
Hi,
What school did you go to and what ATAR did you get? (If you don't mind answering that). Great video too!
Super relatable!! Can you please make a list of recommended apps and websites for students? And an advice video for moving to a new school? Looking forward for your response! Thanks! :)
